chicagolazzChicago Born and BredLH is a consummate pro. The guy grew up on the Southside and South Burbs and has the pulse of this town and its sports teams. We are lucky to have him. Keep it up, #6.

Neal RudnikLaurence Holmes is a StarFor years I have felt that Laurence Holmes is the most prepared and level headed sports personality in Chicago. It is clear the man, not only does his homework, but clearly loves to do his homework to keep us up to date and informed on all things Chicago sports. Keep up the fantastic work Laurence!

Captommy8House of LAlways a great listen! Whether it’s sports happenings, interviews, other facets of Chicago media or current happenings!
-
Salsashark31Amazing host and showI’ve been listening to Laurence for a little over 20 years and he’s fantastic because he does a great job of explaining his points, uses data to inform decisions, and wants to make his audience smarter. He’s such a departure from other sports hosts that are consumed with “Hot Takes”
-
DannydumbshitFive Star ReviewI enjoy Laurence podcasts that cover sports, sports media, culture and reflections of the Me & Z era evening sports radio program.
-
ZachPlaysUnoWithThePrezMy Favorite PodcastI really like this podcast. Laurence is awesome!

Sculpatta MattergoldLaurence is the goodsI’ve been a listener to Laurwnve and his work at The Score & NBC Chicago for 20 years, and can honestly say he is one of the hardest working and most I friend broadcasters I have ever listened too. His work with House of L is a must listen. He is legitimately one of the best Interviewers that I’ve ever followed. Do your self a favor and give an episode a listen too.

MGaskins19Great Podcast from Mark GaskinsI have been listening to Laurence since I was in high school and having on 670 the Score while riding with my brother to, from and at job sites. While I don’t always agree with him, he is someone I respect in the sports journalism space and he hits his stride in this setting. His content is enjoyable and it’s fun to get his opinion on different often times random topics in short form. I love listening to his opinions and in my opinion, this is where he is at his best. It is also great to be able to find relevant episodes and share with my friends who are also interested. Most of my friends know that when I say I was listening to and heard this from Laurence, they know who he is and enjoy what he has to say. I don’t know if this is the place to do this but Laurence I would love more movie review podcasts. Also, it seems like you are or used to be a wrestling fan. I am a huge WWE fan and would love an episode on your fandom, where it was, where it is now and if you’d consider giving some time to it. Thank you!

mtharris78Great WorkThis is a bit biased because I have been listening to/following Laurence for many years. I was a couple of years behind him in high school (HF). Listening to his work and seeing his rise has been really cool and this podcast venture is another excellent way for his content to be presented. The Jason Goff interview is one of the realest conversations I have heard in this medium. It answered a lot of questions for me as a fan of Jason but more importantly it allowed me to know more about him as a man, father and professional. Keep up the great work and I will look forward to more!

Sox Fan JohnIt wasn’t that long agoAs always great job. Very thoughtful and thought provoking. Crazy to think how much changed since 2022. Laurence is the best host and sports journalist in Chicago.

ddddkjdThis is a must subscribe for the Chicago Sports nut with a social conscience. This is a great sports media podcast channel that will one day rival the big ones out there. But Sports isn’t the only topic. This channel doesn’t shy away from important social and political issues of the day. It’s a great outlet for a great broadcaster in Laurence Holmes and his friends. Sports Adjacent is a must listen every weekend. Most of you reading this have no friends. I get that. Well, Sports Adjacent is there for you. Just listen in and you can hear what having friends is like. Any episode with Leila Rahimi is a banger. She is too good for Chicago so enjoy it while she is still here and before the national media types steal her. Then, you can be a hipster and “um actually” your friends when she’s on a national morning show. You can say that you were a fan of Leila Rahimi when she was doing local Chicago radio and podcasting. Your parents had Bill Kurtis and Lester Holt. You have Leila Rahimi. And Laurence delves into pop culture as well. Star Trek (Bloodwhine), comic books (his own as well as others), and his other varied interests find space here. You like Marvel Comics? Boom. Here you go. You like DC Animation? Here, have some analysis. And now I shall put various keywords here to help with the mysterious algorithm. Bears. Cubs. Bulls. Blackhawks. White Sox? Marvel DC 108 Chicago Sky Progressive Driver. Is this enough? I wish I was creative enough to put together an acronym just to tick off Bernstein, but my flight is boarding now so I’ll just stop this review. 😂

ScoreheadrebelNew listenerYep, I am a newcomer to this podcast. I guess you can say that I’m renewed. Use to listen to the Score back in the day… probably since 1995. I remember Laurence Holmes producing back then. Hadn’t listened to the Score since 2012. My search for Justin Fields content of any kind brought back to the Score recently…where I discovered that Laurence now has his own show co-hosting with Dan Bernstein. In my opinion Laurence has grown into a local media giant personality. His ability to clearly translate his own opinions (mostly sports related) with just the right amount of energy, expertise, and flair is a joy for me. I love listening to the score again and have truly enjoyed the couple interviews on here that I’ve listened to. The Leila Rahemi and Jason Goff ones were fire! Keep up the good work.
-
WindyzonaHypocriteHe loves to criticize and critique others but if he feels you are doing it to him he becomes defensive, verbally abusive and his go to is to invoke the race card for no reason. Really sad. He has a chip on his shoulder and loves to think he is the smartest in the room.
-
Plaid SabbathFun, witty and smart. Thanks Laurence for many years of discussion and silliness. Been listening to your various shows since the “Me and Z” days. Always entertaining. A great mix of journalistic integrity, casual fun and thought provoking discussion. Keep up the great work.
-
cjuz44SoxLaurence, just wanted to say that your ‘why am I a sox fan’ podcast hit home. You spoke for many of us. Time is too short to keep banging our heads against the wall with this franchise, which clearly doesn’t give a rip about its fan base. I’m with you. Go, Expos! Chris Madison, Wis.

ShishkabossAn awesome product from a great Score HostThis is a must listen. Very interesting guests, and Laurence is a great interviewer. Check it out! UPDATE: I love his “stream of consciousness” episodes and hearing his thoughts on shows, movies, specific sporting events, etc….And he’s handsome.
-
poolboy313131InterestingThis pod is interesting and filled with honesty that is rare these days. He is genuine and wanting to teach us about his guest. I don’t have much interest in the media side of the business. I find myself having listened to many of the pods - entertaining and informative. Well done !!

Is923Not just about sportsI stumbled on this gem since I enjoy listening to Laurence Holmes. The topics covered sometimes are sports related but not always , which is refreshing because the conversation is not constrained to sports. Love Sports Adjacent and the solo host shows with Laurence and Maddie. This podcast is much better than listening to sports radio noise.
