I am loving learning to be more business-minded in my studio. For a while I passed this podcast by because I thought it was only for multi-teacher studios but I was completely wrong. It’s fantastic for anyone who runs a business teaching music for a living.

Andrea is the real deal. Informative, helpful and a class act. So grateful to her for creating a space where musical entrepreneurs can learn from each other!

The Music Studio Startup has topics that are of interest to teachers running their own studios or those thinking about it. The wide variety of people Andrea interviews keeps each program interesting. Andrea asks just the questions you would ask. And the show notes are helpful for a good resource. I’ve appreciated all the podcasts on Music Studio Startup.

I think a lot of podcasts have this thing where they take an idea that has already been hashed out many times and try to spin it as “new” information, updated with the sensationalist words of that week. This is definitely NOT one of those podcasts. Already in the first few episodes, Andrea has brought up topics that we as music business owners might forget to consider, and she actually asks the “real” questions that help teachers and business owners to take their craft and business to the next level. I’ve recommended this podcast already to all of my colleagues. Well worth the listen.

There are a ton of music podcasts out there right now but this one is pretty neat since it’s focused on the business side of running a studio as an individual or someone who’s just starting out. I’m married to a music teacher so wanted to check it out. Definitely worth a listen!
