Alan has fascinating guests and does an outstanding job of interviewing them.

It’s so refreshing to listen to a beautifully produced podcast that is equally informative and entertaining. Alan is an excellent host and asks questions that the normal person is thinking about. Also I appreciate the guests aren’t the usual Hollywood people but scientists, writers and all around interesting people.

If you only listen to one podcast, this should be the one. Alan Alda is an engaging interviewer (of course) with a variety of guests and compelling topics covered in a pleasant conversational style. Very clear and vivid indeed. I learn so much listening. And I love the 7 questions!

The producers of this show put together interviews with people I’ve never heard of, about complex topics I can barely fathom - yet somehow in the skilled hands of the one and only Alan Alda it’s captivating, fascinating, and fun! Each episode is a painlessly enlightening nugget that makes me think and feel and laugh.

There is nobody like Alan Alda who can conduct interviews with philosophers, scientists and authors. He engages with the topic and makes me question my world. I usually laugh out loud—The interviews are delightful even though the topics are quite serious.

I love this show by Alda! In the latest episode, Alan Lightman said nobody has been able to describe consciousness but this is not true. Scientists live in their own bubble and don’t realize there is a whole body of work on the study of consciousness. The great transcendence of the mind is to accept the reality that consciousness is us as a subject not an object. Rupert Spira describes it best in The Nature of Consciousness.

I have enjoyed the podcast immensely. It has helped me to see things differently and to relate in different ways. I especially love the questions at the end that Alan asks.

I so much enjoy clear and vivid! I’m enlightened by many of the conversations, especially science based subjects. The conversation about the mice and the stomach-brain connection!

Science is my favorite subject and I’ve had a “You tube” channel called “Gravity Max” since I’m 10. I teach people about astrophysics, astronomy, math and science with my videos that I research, write, produce, and create the graphics and music for myself. I would love to be a guest on your show and talk about that. Since I’m 10 I’ve been trying to get more people to love science the way I do. I also just wrote and published my first book called “A Truly Dead Rock”. It would be such an honor to talk to you and your audience of science lovers about both and about trying to communicate about science to a sometimes uninterested world as a child and now a teenager in high school. Alan and his team do a fantastic job of bringing in guests from all areas of work. There is such a variety of topics that everyone will be able to find something that interests them. Alan is very good at hosting these discussions and obviously has done his research prior to the interview. He is able to have conversation and not debate which is also a refreshing change from most of what is out there!

I haven’t even started listening to this podcast I’m currently rewatching mash the show that my great grandfather used to sneak me out of bed for when I was young to watch with him because he knew Hawkeye was my favorite. I’m rewatching all seasons yet again because Hawkeye was my hero growing up with his impeccable sense of humor and pride as well as humility the character he played is the reason I tried to join the military. Though I sadly got discharged in basic in 2011. To this day I watch mash to calm me down and to laugh and relax. I’m only 29. This man is more of a American icon than Betty white. And I can’t wait to listen to this podcast.

There is not one conversation that won’t internet you. One person after another largely unknown to me. I LOVE this pod. And of course. Alan Alda. What a guy. And he really values women and equality. As a side benefit.

The interviews are great but the ads can be loud, annoying and jarring. It seems like the company who airs this podcast could choose ads that weren’t so crazy making.

Alan Alda is arguably the kindest podcast host alive. His knowledge and ability to share it with simplicity is amazing. I look forward to his interviews every Tuesday when I listen. I really consider myself fortunate to learn so much from him and his guest. He is pure American Treasure and so is this podcast. Give it a listen. You will not be disappointed.
