Great information in the podcast, as well as great people. Like learning new things and hearing great stories. Like deer camp.

Hal, Joe and the Lees crack me up. I feel privileged to hear the tips and teachings from all of the BWB team. They are all genuine in what they talk about and it’s refreshing in a world full of bull, hands down best hunting podcast out there.

I am going on 60 years old and my back has let me down to the point I can no longer trek my way through the woods. This podcast helps me visualize as though I am there. It is not the same of course, but it is all I have at this point and am very thankful for being able to follow along since it’s inception. ❤️

I have listen to every episode. A gunsmith friend of mine turned me onto this show. Listening to these guys is like sitting at Deer Camp for me. I find myself smiling and laughing to the side bar conversations.

Great info, great banter amongst friends. Looking forward to hopefully meeting these guys one day and learning from them at a big woods tracking school or even a guided hunt.

As I’m in S Florida I liked the 1st deer in the Everglades story. In addition I enjoy listening to stories, methods etc of hunting in Maine. Maybe I’ll make it up there someday.

I love listening to the Big woods. I was happy to grown up hunting in central and northern NH. Listening to the talk I feel like I know the entire crew without ever meeting. The talk is familiar to me. Unfortunately, I currently live 1500 miles away, but I get home every year for opening week in the big woods. I cannot live without it. The only podcast I’ve listened to every episode. Also the only podcast I listen to the same day each one comes out. If you’re a hunter, especially from New England, this ones for you.

Really enjoyed this last episode especially since deer season is a ways off. Great stories felt like I was there in the woods with you Listened to almost every episode makes me long for deer season here in Michigan

The format of hunting buddies chewing their collective cud on many topics is the perfect format. Many hunters have hunted with a group of buddies at a camp and enjoyed the evening summit meetings where much was discussed and very little was resolved. After all it is the discussions that matter, not the resolutions. The podcast is a perfect way to deliver these discussions because I can listen while taking my bubble bath. (I hope they can’t see me through a podcast over the internet.) The content is usually excellent, except for when one of the guys is being a know it all or a blowhard. I am not sure, but it sounds like the young guys take turns. Hal generally does a good job of keeping the children in line. Except for when they tried to humiliate Hal for the black undies that his wife selects and buys for him to wear. But I do agree, way too much information! Now the occasional discussion about tough trucks for use on big woods backwoods roads and hopefully making it back alive at the end of the day is completely silly and irresponsible. My goodness just listen to the problems you have - drive shafts breaking and falling off, front ends dropping into collapsed culverts, catastrophic engine failure, wheels and axles falling off, countless broken windshields, the loads of parts and tools you must carry, and the worst is actually being seen driving or riding shotgun in a Dodge truck. One word boys - “Ford Super Duty”. Well actually that is three words, but those three words just roll off the tongue like your favorite gal whispering sweet nothings into your ear during the rut. By the way when is that? I seem to be missing out. Anyway, please remember this phrase: “Built Ford Tough”. You guys remind me of the McLaughlin group that was on public television, except that thankfully you guys do not discuss politics, unless of course if it relates to hunting. Please look up on the internet the McLaughlin group so you can select which character’s persona each of you wish to adopt. Of course Hal = John McLaughlin. The rest of you can join in when called upon. Keep up the good work on the Big Woods Bucks think tank and brain trust podcast. You make it sound so easy! Best wishes.

It’s like you’re sitting there with them BS’ing and listening to their stories. But at the same time learning the art from some of the best in the business! Looking forward to my first trip to hunt in ME in the near future!

So I’ve never been a podcast person. I’m not a “techy” guy as Hal says. But I live and breathe whitetail hunting, so when I found the BWB podcast it was like a book I couldn’t put down. I’m a 47 year old farmer from MA and a lifelong deer hunter who got his first deer in Maine at age 16. I got tired of visiting relatives upcountry to hunt, so my wife and I bought a camp in Maine 3 years ago. One of the decisions of my life. When I say that listening to Hal, Lee, and Joe has brought a new perspective and education to my deer hunting knowledge, I couldn’t be more serious. I have a degree in Wildlife Biology and am a lifelong student of the whitetail, but the combined knowledge of this trio is second to none and truly has infinite value. That knowledge, paired with the on-air chemistry they display makes for literally the best and most entertaining listening that I can find in my iTunes podcast library. I’ve had lots of success in the deer woods to this point in my life, but I am a complete novice when it comes to tracking. With these guys’ guidance and accrued knowledge I plan on tackling the challenge of learning the art of tracking as the next chapter of my deer hunting life. You guys are truly the best, keep up the great work, and I hope to ride up to Parlin sometime on my snow machine to pick your brains and swap stories. Thanks for all of it, TJ Mello Rehoboth MA and Liberty ME PS...Lee’s movie is the best thing on YouTube currently and Rick Labbe can really tell a great story. The Alaska trip and the colonel deer thief almost made me crash my truck from laughing.

Can’t get enough of this podcast. The information and laughs is one of a kind and to hear it from some of the best trackers in North America is amazing ! Keep them coming. Just wish it was on more then every couple weeks !!

This is a great podcast for the deer hunter. Hal is the real deal. Was fortunate enough to go on a hunt with him in 2009. He is the real deal for the north woods hunter and more specifically tracker. I really enjoy this podcast as it is informative as mentioned but also very entertaining as it feels like you’re in camp.

Highly recommended. Generations of knowledge of the big woods that you can apply in the big woods. It certainly has made me a better hunter.
