I’ve always wanted to review this podcast but I just couldn’t resist this one. I am literally on the floor, bursting out in tears and laughter… maybe it’s because I could relate soo much with them funny dating profiles. Oh my… we need to revise that episode on things to put on your Dating Profile, I enjoyed that one too w/Kristen. Good Job Dalton & Bethany for just being yourselves on the couch cast episodes.

I feel like the dynamic between these two is a bit unhealthy. The girl is way too nice to the guy who seems to have quite the ego. I feel like he goes unchecked and it’s a bit unhealthy, maybe there’s some codependency there. If the balance between these two was healthy while still being honest I feel it would be a better show. Sometimes I’m just so turned off by this guy.

Great podcast to listen to for thoughts as I navigate my first relationship in my mid 20s. Also, Dalton, look into getting evaluated for ADHD.

I only found this podcast earlier this week but it’s already one of my favorites! I am so sad that they are ending the show in the spring. Honestly, it feels like I am losing friends that I just made. I am a single girl in a small town, in a small state. Single Christian guys are, unfortunately, few and far between. I am growing more content and joyful in my singleness (all credit to God, in that!), but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. I facilitate a Bible Study of single Christian girls and I feel the burden of leading them well in their singleness (even though I, 100%, do not have it figured out, either!). This podcast has been such a source of comfort and encouragement in that regard. The hosts talk about dating and singleness in such an honest manner. They make me ask questions that I have never thought to ask and lead me back to Scripture. They have made me realize that I am not alone <3. Anyway, everyone, please listen. (P.S. Bethany and Dalton, please, maybe, check back in ever so often, even after you’re done?)

Kristen did the classic ditch when she got married. Not having time to be part of the podcast for other reasons would be less insulting. But it reinforces the part of you that believes people ditch when they find someone. I can’t be alone in that. Dalton isn’t my cup of tea, while it’s nice to have a male perspective on things, he comes across as holier than thou. The podcast isn’t the same anymore.

I want to say thank you to Bethany for your 1) your recent bravery 2) to then share so eloquently and delicately your experience. It used to be my job to read about failed marriages and many many people press on into a marriage when they are in a relationship that they are hoping they will change. My own mother even tells me how she walked down the aisle of her first marriage thinking she really shouldn’t be going through with it. Praying for you, Dalton, I, and all the listeners that we may find the right relationship 🙂. May God bless you both!

The ladies are charming and sweet, but their episodes would be significantly shorter and retain a larger audience pool if the topic of the episode was introduced within the first 30 seconds to one minute of their discussion. Then once they begin, they need to stay on topic.

Please fix the sound issues. Several of the recent podcasts have had lots of variations in the audio levels making it hard to hear. I have to turn the volume way up to hear anything Otherwise, I love this podcast!!

I have loved this podcast for years and listened to almost every episode! I was sad when Kristen announced she was leaving the podcast but understood why. I miss hearing from Kristen-she was really relatable and funny. That being sad, I was thrown back when I listened to the recent episode where Dalton said that if a Christian couple doesn’t want to have kids, then they shouldn’t get married at all. Where in the Bible did he find this rule? Why should a Christian couple feel forced to have kids just because they got married? As someone who knows Christian couples that for different reasons decided not to have/couldn’t have kids, his words made me uncomfortable. He seems to be pretty narrow minded in his perspective, and it almost sounds like he’s preaching on each episode. It’s also kinda awkward how he always wants to talk and lead every conversation, but when Bethany talks it seems like he is pressuring her to not talk anymore or that all of a sudden they are “running out of time” on the episode. I hope you take the time to read this and hear what I’m saying. I’m a Christian and want to hear Christian perspectives on dating, but not every phrase has to relate back to God, Dalton. I miss Kristen’s perspective because she was more well rounded and open in her perspective :(

I’ve been listening to Looking for the Middle for a couple of years now, and I always find encouragement and truth in Kristen, Bethany, and now Dalton’s words. They are experienced in dating and Biblically sound. Their topics are well-thought-out, with wonderful “rabbit trails” adorning every episode. This podcast is convicting, and really gets me thinking about my walk with the Lord and how to “date successfully.” I highly recommend LFTM to every single Christian.

I’ve been listening to this podcast for about 6 months, and I love it. Their advice is insightful and biblically sound. I recommend it to all my friends.

I’ve been enjoying this podcast for the most part. There are times I have to fast forward some of the rambling at the beginning. However, the main reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the sound quality. One of them is always louder than the other. Inevitably you have to turn it up to hear one of them speaking and then when they laugh or the other one starts talking it hurts your ears. I’d love to have the sound be consistent so I don’t have to constantly turn the volume up and down.

The banter at the beginning of the show just goes on and on and is really boring. Just get to the point!

These ladies do such a great job of talking about today’s dating victories & woes while still keeping humor sprinkled throughout. I love that they let their personalities shine through the podcast and I can identify with Them. I love the backstage pass & couch cast editions as well as the full length episodes, there’s truly something here for every single out there. 👏🏻

I have been listening to LFTM for a few years now and I must say these two have been my favorite episodes yet. These two episodes hit home with me the best either it being the stage I’m in or my age, but I truly agree and enjoyed them both!!

I’m a junior in high school and this stuff so totally applies to my life. I feel so understood and sometimes Kristen or Bethany will put exact words to what I’ve been thinking. This is such an amazing podcast. I am a 17 year old teen guy, and I get so much helpful info while I listen to this podcast.

These ladies come with such an honest and caring heart. They really put effort into what God says as far as dating and help reiterate what it means to be a young Christian girl and trying to date the right way. I would recommend for those in new relationships as well! Also, you will never feel alone listening to them. They’ve been where a lot of us are and it helps to know you’re not going though this season alone.

Ok, I’ll start this review off with saying that I just discovered this podcast not too long ago. I started off with a random couch cast about online dating, which was interesting (and something I knew very little about). I disagreed with the advice (sorry!), but I thought the hosts were engaging so I kept going. I continued on with other episodes, and found, that the couchcasts, in my opinion, were well suited to answer real questions from listeners. I feel like this medium works well. Short and full of lots of information. I will also say, as a mid 20-something that has grown up in (and still faithfully attends) an evangelical church, this podcast is every bit of relationship advice you heard growing up in one location. Some of the concepts (e.g. run towards Christ, and if someone comes alongside that can keep up, date them, for example) might be new to listeners. Others might not. I think this relationship advice could be helpful to young (er) adults looking for Christ-centered dating advice. It’s clear from hearing both of the hosts speak, that this is something they are passionate about (which is always cool to hear!) As another reviewer stated, this podcast is geared towards (likely unintentionally) listeners who are just like the hosts - individuals who look the same and worship the same. An area of growth for this podcast could be, as the aforementioned reviewer noted, thinking about the perspectives of others (and having honest conversations with friends about how this advice might look different for those who share the same faith but don’t look or worship in the exact same ways. So, again, I think this would be a great podcast for some, but might leave others feeling unseen. Just a thought.

Love love love these girls!! I’ve been listening for a year and have listened to every episode (sometimes more than once!!). I love how they are real and honest but also rely on biblical evidence and what the lord say. I couldn’t love them anymore!!!

I just found this podcast today and I’m already binge-listening to my fourth episode! This show gives dating insights from a biblical perspective and that is truly REFRESHING! It’s nice to feel seen by hearing other people who are experiencing a similar season in life. If you’re reading this review debating if you’ll give it a listen, do it! You will not regret it!

This podcast has given me so many more different angles to look at dating. I’m thankful I stumbled upon it one day. These girls are relatable and energetic, go off on fun tangents that always leave me loling, and their love for Jesus is apparent. Thank you for building the foundation of all topics with biblical principles but also recognizing today’s world is different than Bible times and navigating through today is a little different! Five stars for sure 🙃

I discovered this podcast a few weeks ago and I am obsessed with it! These godly ladies are an absolute joy to listen to and keep me laughing the whole time. I have learned so much and I feel like I’m just sitting on the couch chatting with my best friends. I have never felt less alone in my season of singleness because of these 2.

I’m still on season one. I just love these two Ladies and I dont even know them. You can just hear the love they have for Christ and the love they have for others who are in this waiting period of being single and christian. Their knowledge and thoughts and opinions have really helped me realize and re-affirm that I am on the right track in my singleness. I have learned a lot from them as well. Their encouragement keeps me centered in Christ and has helped me stay hopeful for the future. Great job you two!

After listening to a few episodes, I just couldn’t get into it. Being a person of color, the content isn’t as applicable to me (very different dating world out there for women of color). It would have been great if they brought in guests who have expertise rather than just rely on their own experiences.

I searched “Christian dating” and stumbled on this. They cover EVERYTHING my girlfriends and I have talked about since our teenage years! I feel like we could totally be friends in real life and I love hearing your perspectives. I just kept adding topics to my queue and found I had listened to almost everything. I love that you encourage listeners to figure out what fits for them and that you each share your differing views. Be it about kissing or figuring out “attraction”. -A 33 year old, Jesus loving, Pride and Prejudice obsessed gal, looking for the middle :)

As Bethany and Kristen talk about different aspects of dating as a Christian, I feel so encouraged because I know I’m not the only one who is experiencing these things! They talk about the REAL things. The things that I don’t hear people talk about often. And I’m left feeling so thankful that this podcast exists! Don't be put off by the title. Guys need to hear this stuff too! Just the first episode was very helpful in helping me understand how girls think about dating. A huge plus is that Kristen and Bethany are also coming from a biblical perspective, so there is extra depth and insight here that's very hard to find on this topic. Greatly anticipating the next episodes!

This is a great podcast for Christian women of all ages and stages, but mainly young single women!! It’s light hearted and funny, but at the same time, they speak truth about the dating world today!! Highly recommended!
