First off, John and Nick do an incredible job of elevating the wedding film industry and educating and training other filmmakers. However, within the past 1-2 years this podcast has taken a more brand-centered tone. It feels like nearly every single podcast episode is trying to sell you on something they sell, whether it be their courses, Mastermind group, etc. Which is fine. I know John and Nick are ultimately trying to point people toward these paid methods of education, which I’m sure are beneficial, but if you’re looking for a podcast that will inform and educate, listen to the first 150 episodes or so and then move on.

Their first year or two was definitely the best and most helpful.

When I first found this show, I loved it! They talked about what gear to use, how they like to approach the wedding day, wedding war stories, all of the stuff you’d want to hear about. Over the last few years John and Nick have focused each episode on growing your business, raising your prices, and mastering social media rather than actually shooting weddings. They are shooting less and less and now pushing their online courses more than anything. This is all fine and good, but I feel that they should change the title of the podcast to How to Sell Weddings because they no longer talk about shooting, editing, gear or anything you would want to know about wedding videography. I don’t hate this show, but I am just a little disappointed with the direction the show has taken. It seems like a lot of the episode topics seem to be about the same thing each week and I am on the fence about unsubscribing.

The amount of information you get from this podcast is unreal! John and Nick break down each topic and hep you understand everything you need to know! Looking forward to getting to know them more in Mastermind this year!!

this show is littered with ads and unethical methods of getting your attention. reminds me of a late night informercial the way they force you to commit/pay/subscribe to them. poor business ethics.

- Consistent weekly episodes for your eyes and ears. I don't know of another Podcast that is actually consistent and does what they say they're going to do...Weekly, on Mondays to start that week of right. - Some weeks are sprinkled with extra content - This podcast is for folks who have never shot a wedding, only shot a few, or have shot 1,432,567 weddings - It's not just about gear or how to get "banger shots". Literally all topics are covered A-Z and from Z-A, but you can probably still learn about banger shots. - The guests are not just all the well known folks or even Videographers. You will get perspective and styles from a wide range of experience levels in the industry. - Specific days for specific topics in the FB group. Yes, a group that is structured, and actually isn't intimidating to chime into, kept in check, and is respectful. - Also, they have a digital store for your business needs, and the prices are reasonable as heck. Get you suuuuuuummmm! - You will not find a better source of information that will help you. - You can go back to watch and listen however many times your heart desires - I could say more, but I'll stop here

I’m a newer wedding filmmaker and I found this podcast through their Facebook page “How to film wedding” (shameless plug). John and Nick are great characters and apparently have even better connections to be able to bring in such great people into the podcast. One of their episodes even led me to getting a job with a wedding film company so I’m incredibly grateful!

Nick and John have put together an awesome resource for not only wedding film businesses but all creatives. Their interviews are engaging, personal, and informative and a super welcome addition into the creative business education world! Subscribe and you are sure to get lots of good nuggets (or deep nuggets as they like to call them)!

I’ve recently got back into shooting weddings after an almost two year hiatus, and finding this podcast came at the perfect time for me. Every episode is informative, and I usually jot notes down, and sometimes listen again to certain episodes. Lots of great information and little Easter eggs of info are delivered every episode. I’m a full time police officer and started my video business in 2017 after having been filmmaking for my church for about 3 years.
