    Mini Wife Episode
I wish I would have heard this episode 6 years ago when I started my stepmom journey. Thank you for bringing light to a serious topic that can effect the entire family so much. I love this podcast!

    Thank you, Jamie🩵
I am so grateful for this podcast. Being a stepmom is the hardest thing I have ever done. I have been in such a dark place for too long. I recently discovered this podcast, and not a minute too soon. I am now ready to do the work I need for myself and my stepfamily life. I look forward to each new episode. I want to thank Jamie for sharing her wisdom and light with the world. You have changed my life for the better.

    Honest & mature guidance
This podcast has guided me through the challenging nuances of being a stepmom. I started listening when my now-husband and I were just dating. It’s difficult to express how grateful I am to have Jamie’s experience, acceptance of imperfection, and maturity to draw from as a continue the parenthood journey.

    Stepmom of adults
Went right to the episode that most related to what I’m going through. House rules is something I’ve been trying to get my husband on the same page as me about. Not do whatever you want because you are an adult. This validated this point. Recommended!!!

Always what I needed when I needed it!
I’m so thankful I found Jamie on Pinterest a few years ago and decided to listen to her podcasts! She’s real, she’s open, she’s honest and vulnerable. She gets it! I’ve listened to episodes multiple times because they resonate with my heart so much. Thank you for sharing your life and your experiences, they’ve saved my sanity more than once.

Blown away by how helpful this podcast has been
I cannot say enough good things about this podcast and Jamie’s website. It’s helped to “back-up” my point of view and softened conversations between myself and my partner. I feel so heard and supported to have my feelings and words validated over and over in the words of other step moms. Thank you Jamie, from the bottom of my heart.

    Love this podcast!
I am a stepmom to two wonderful children. In the step-parenting world, I have it pretty good. My husband handles a lot with the children and the ex and I have a very respectful, kind situation with the ex also. Even so, it’s tough and there is no one to talk to. Anyone who asks is always more concerned about how I get along with the ex. Just listening to people who are solution focused and not gossipy is a breath of fresh air. I look forward and enjoy every episode. Thank you Jamie for being open about your life and allowing other people to keep relief in knowing they aren’t alone.

    Incredible
I have been a step mom for 3 years and have struggled every bit of the way. This podcast has helped validate my feelings and help me sort through them so I can show up as the best step mom possible.

    Exactly what I needed!!
I fell upon Jamie’s podcast after hearing her as a guest speaker on another show. For years, I have been struggling feeling as though I have been completely alone in my stepmom experience. Jamie’s work and devotion really opens up the door for myself and other stepmoms really struggling to find where we fit in. I am so blessed to continue learning from her and the community she has built!

    So grateful for this podcast
I appreciate Jamie’s podcast so very much. She’s genuine, vulnerable, a wealth of knowledge, and yet also brings positivity to this space. I’ve learned so much and have felt seen and validated while listening to others’ tell their stories. Many thanks, Jaimie! Keep doing what you’re doing.

    Step-mom bootcamp
I found this podcast this summer while my step-daughter was on her summer visitation with her mom. It has been life changing! I have a different circumstance where my husband has primary custody and her mom (extremely high conflict) moved states away having visits during school breaks. It’s been so hard navigating my role being her mother figure most of the time yet not her bio-mom. Especially after having an “ours baby”. I feel so much more in control of my life and our situation with the help of this podcast! When my step-daughter first noticed the podcast I called it my step-mom bootcamp, so grateful to have it. Thank you for doing what you do Jamie!

    Life Saving Podcast!
I go back and listen to every episode over and over. It helps so much to fill my head with good and positive thoughts at any phase i’m going through in life. Jamie is simply the best. Great to have a podcast to make you feel not alone when there aren’t many people to talk to.

    Love this Podcast
I love this podcast and have been listening to Jamie for a long time now. So many things she has helped me with during my step momma journey. I’m like Jamie - it’s one of the hardest roles and hardest thing I’ve ever had to do or go through. But feeling like I have the community that is right there with me, means the world. She’s real, honest, and not afraid to step on your toes when you need it and I need it at times. She’s awesome! I love the episodes or her and Darren. By far my favorite episodes! 10/10 recommend to any blended family, or any that are considering getting into one of them. Love her and this podcast!

    Positive and uplifting
I really enjoy this podcast. I’ve been listening past few months. Some days it’s like the salve I need for my heart and mind. Being a stepmom is wonderful and hard. It’s deeply giving but also taking it on the chin. Jamie’s perspective, realism and the focus on building a positive mindset during the chaos… was the help I was seeking. I’ve learned many things. It’s taught me a deeper understanding to help support my husband from listening to Jamie’s husband when he is on the podcast. Boundaries, having some grace and loving your life are all possible. Thanks Jamie!

    The support I needed
I found Jamie while I was looking for stepmom support. Listening to her podcast has made me feel so understood and has made me feel not so alone in my stepmom journey. She is an amazing voice and support for the stepmom community.

    Young Step Mom
I started dating my current boyfriend about a year and a half ago. I was 20 when I met him and he was 24. Dealing with the Mom at such a young age has been more than difficult. Knowing my role as a step parent has been a adjustment in itself. I am very pleased with this podcast and just hearing how situations should be handled and, ultimately, it won’t always be this way. I am a new listener, but am so glad to have found such a good podcast that discusses exactly what im going through. And im not alone!!

    So grateful
As a mom and stepmom, this podcast has been so helpful. Sometimes I don’t like what I hear and some of it is because I know that’s my insecurities, my wounds. But I love coming here when I’m in need of some tools or even reassurance. I wish some of this could be broadcasted everywhere. I wish everyone could support stepmoms so much more. The thankless job, it doesn’t have to be.

    Stepmoms unite!
Jamie’s fresh perspective is peppered with humor and reality. I love it. Being a stepmom can be ridiculously hard sometimes. Thanks to Jamie, it’s more bearable.

    Great Podcast
I found Jamie when I began my stepmom journey in 2019 (when I was only dating my now husband). I needed something to normalize all the hate being thrown our way from the other side. I have continued to work on these things through the years and it’s not always easy. Jamie’s podcast is a great reminder in many areas, not just step parenting. Thanks Jamie for the real talk on this stepmom journey, as it’s not easy nor is it often glamorous, but we continue to do the job.

    We both listen!
This has been a great way to hear other people’s experiences like ours and it’s been incredibly helpful to hear that we’re not alone and to gain perspective. When we have long car rides, we catch up on listening together too. Thank you!

I listen to this podcast everyday
Thank you, Jamie! This podcast has been so helpful! I listen & replay these episodes. It’s great to have a resource that offers healthy reminders and validation for all the complex feelings that come along with being a partner to a divorced man with kids. I recommend this pod to any friends in similar situations. Big thanks! (-:

Great for some. Not for me.
I had a hard time getting into this podcast. I felt like the way she talks to her husband is condescending. I’m glad she is helping stepmoms though! We need more of this!

    Highly Recommend!
This podcast has really helped me a lot! Especially the disengaging! Also, knowing that I’m not the only one who feels like damned if I do, damned if I don’t! It’s so much more difficult than I expected! I thought it would just be like parenting my own daughter or some of her friends…but at all! But this podcast has helps so much! Feel like I’ve learned a lot and grown a lot in the last year following this!! Highly recommend!!

    Highly recommend!
LOVE this podcast. As a new stepmom, it’s just what I needed. Jamie and her podcast is the perfect balance between being compassionate and naming our feelings and experiences and helping stepmoms get out of their own way. It’s the first resource I share w my stepmom friends!

    Love Jamie
Love Jamie!! Absolutely HATED the podcast with Ron Deal. That guy is so clueless when it comes to majority of blended families and not even sure how he has come so far in his “business.” Stopped listening to him long ago…now I know he’s not even in a blended family. Wow!!! The part about leading with love and telling the BM you know you aren’t the mom blah blah blah. Take her signs of love and “run with it” seriously dude?! It’s obvious this dude doesn’t work with parental alienation bc BMs who show “signs of love” are obv red flags that she’s concocting something. Such a joke.

    ENCOURAGING
Been struggling as a new stepmom and a new mom to an “ours” baby. Nobody seems to understand. SO GLAD to have finally found a safe place where women understand!

    Best Stepmom Support Out There!
No matter your stepfamily challenges or stressors, Jamie provides the best content and support out there!! Forget bashing the other home or just complaining about your struggles and hoping things will get better - this is the resource you need to change your mindset, change your life, and create the stepfamily life you want.
  • Blended Boy Mom
    Super blended boy mom
I’m a step mom to my husbands two sons, one was an oops baby in high school and the other from his first marriage. I have my son from my first marriage and then we have an ours baby. The past 7 years with this man has been amazing yet some of the most difficult years of my life. This podcast has been such a relief. It has helped me come to terms with step momming these great kids, and also helped me redefine how I interact with my ex husband and his wife. It’s so refreshing to listen to something that helps build up these things rather then tear them down and also make us feel sane when we decide enough is enough and choose ourselves sometimes. Great job, I’ve enjoyed listening for the last couple years. Thanks Jamie!

    Needed this
I’m newly married and my husband has 2 kids by his ex wife and a son with an ex girlfriend. I have 2 of my own. So basically things have been said to my husband about me from his ex wife he has not stood up for me at all. I’m so glad I’m not alone. I needed this thank you

    Reminds me of myself!
When I was 25 I married a man who is 10 years older than me. He had one daughter and his coparenting dynamic had a good foundation. Luckily there have not been any major conflicts or issues in our relationship and my step daughter has welcomed the marriage and our two children together. Jamie offered great resources I listened to as a preliminary to my marriage. Things are not perfect but we are all doing the best we can and seem to be thriving! I have even shared a few of these episodes with my stepdaughter and we have picked out nuggets we both found helpful.

    Raw and Real
I love listening to Jamie because she just says it the way it is, shares the rawness of the struggles, emotions, and feelings that come with this unique and ever changing field of Blended Families. She was one of the first stepmom voices I discovered years ago and continues to be one I follow today. I know things will never be sugar coated over here and I like it that way.

This podcast changed everything for me!
When I unexpectedly became a stepmom in a messy situation, Jamie’s resources were one of the only things I could find to offer hope and support. Jamie could talk about anything at all and I would absolutely love listening to it.

    Therapy to me
I feel this podcast is as helpful as therapy. Whenever I need to feel uplifted or reminded that I can do hard things, I listen to this podcast. Wish I would have found it a long time ago. Thank you, Jamie. 💕

    Game Changer
I’ve been a step-mom for 4 years and new “ours” mom for 2.5. I was struggling to find someone to talk with or get advice from. I started listening to this podcast and in every episode there is at least one or two GOLD NUGGETS that make an immediate impact. One episode literally changed and I mean CHANGED my relationship with my step-kids within days…. Learning when to let go!!! I recommend this podcast to any mom/caregiver.
  • MichelleAdeR
    The best step-mom podcast!
This podcast has helped me navigate step-mom life in so many ways. I learned so much on how to deal with the ex and other stressors. In my case I have 2 step-kids, each from a different mom. One is a boy that now is 16, I met him when he was 13 and a girl now 6, met her when she was 3y/o. The dynamic with the each mom is completely different, one (the boy’s mom) is super friendly and 0 conflict and the other one has been very challenging but we are in a cordial stage that I never thought possible (Thank you Jamie ). The age gap between the kids completely different stages of life. I have no kids of my own yet. So, finding this podcast was life-saver!! Can’t recommend it enough!
  • ARH02
The only podcast a stepmom needs!
I only wish I found it sooner. If you’re looking for level headed advice, a graceful approach, and a sense of community in your stepmom role, this is without a doubt the podcast for you. It’s just so good!

    Best stepmom podcasts
Jamie is real. She’s vulnerable. She speaks truth. She has relevant guests. Seriously my favorite podcast. If you’re a stepmom, might become a stepmom, know a stepmom, or your kids have a stepmom, you need to listen to what Jamie is saying.
