I have been a Steelers fan since I was five years old growing up in Santa Barbara, California. I’ve never been more supportive of any professional team, including today, especially today. I’ve listened to a lot of different podcast for the Steelers. Matt and Dale I got two guys that I enjoy everything from the point of view how they make it fun in the off-season and are very fair when assessing the team and where they are and what direction they might wanna go. They are my only pod now.

Dale and Matt provide the best combination of Steelers analysis and draft analysis (and how it pertains to the Steelers) out there. Between Dale’s 30 years of covering the Steelers and Matt’s years of drafting and scouting experience, they have produced a truly excellent pod for Steelers fans who also want to keep their eyes on the draft. Keep up the great work, Gentlemen!

I listen every afternoon while I work and love this show. I appreciate Matt’s knowledge of stats and Dales experience and Steelers enthusiasm! Btw, congrats to Dale on beating cancer. I just finished a battle with prostate cancer and I wish both of you good health in the new year!

These guys are fun. It’s a Steelers blog so you really need to be a fan, but they talk a lot of areas of strength, highly rated players, draft prospects, and all sorts of details that if you’re wanting to see things a bit closer during games - provides fun details. The only criticism is the mixing. Sometimes one guy is far quieter than the other. Still worth it.

Matt and Dale are phenomenal. They each have so much experience looking at the game of football, the Steelers organization, and the league as a whole. They never fail to offer detailed analysis that will help Steelers fans better understand and cheer on the team they love. It’s true that Dale can be a homer on a frequent basis, and Matt can struggle to find optimism for the team when things look bleak, but together their dialogue typically ends up putting forth a generally realistic and accurate assessment. The fact that they have been doing this show together for so many years also creates a brilliant co-host dynamic that is always fun to listen to. The Drive is hands down the best place for year-round Pittsburgh Steelers coverage, from the off-season, to the combine and draft, to training camp and preseason, to the regular season, and all the way through the post season and Super Bowl. This faithful listener would argue they are making their case for inclusion alongside Steelers greats such as Myron Cope, Stan Savran, and Bob Labriola.

Both these guys are Steeler homers, but, they do a nice job in also being objective for the total NFL. They obviously have much deeper insight to the Steeler happenings, but are very intuned to the division, movement therein, and provide solid news updates on the teams and organizations. This is a good listen.

Dale and Matt are a solid pair who have loads of football and Steelers knowledge. Their draft coverage is spectacular! I also love the weekly game predictions during the season. I highly recommend taking a listen.

Is Matt broadcasting from under a blanket and locked in a closet? He’s practically inaudible and increasing the volume to hear him makes Dale way too loud. Easy problem to fix - please do some post production!

Dale has made an entire career out of being obtuse and overriding conversations. Matt is pretty insightful and apparently has the patience of a saint.

First off, I want to make it clear that this is a quality podcast. Pretty laid back, good topics and discussion (please less fantasy talk…there are other shows for that), and unlike a lot of smaller pods and YT channels, there’s very little in the way of cringe humor and distractions - in general, it’s very analytical and I enjoy that. My primary issue with the pod is Dale. The dude is a total homer for the Steelers and occasionally has takes that are quite frankly, ridiculous. Earlier this week they reviewed power rankings from NFL.com - Dale complained that almost every team in the list was too high. Matt rightly mentioned that somebody has to be there and Dale pushed back on it…very frustrating to listen too. In a more recent episode, he said that KP is outplaying CJ Stroud. Thankfully Matt pushed back more forcefully here (please continue to do this) as he should. stats aren’t everything, but Stroud’s QB rating is 98 compared to KP’s 80, and trust me, Stroud’s film is much better too. Dale is just such a homer and gives our division rivals zero credit. Aside from that, I love this pod though and have listened consistently for 3+ years now. Don’t break up this tandem.

This is, unequivocally, the best available Steelers podcast available. An ex-scout and a plugged in journalist make a pretty good combination. It is, without question, my go to. I’m hoping that they don’t break this team up because of their myriad of other responsibilities.

If you are looking for a show that provides you a combination of Steelers insider knowledge with a an injection of analytics based logic, this is it. Dale is the perfect Steeler insider. He provides a unique perspective that ranges from historic to current Steeler info. What I think makes this show unique is Matt’s perspective. Matt’s ability to interpret WHY teams do what they do from a scout/GM perspective is interesting. If you want to know what goes on behind closed doors in NFL front offices he’s your guy. He is an admitted analytics geek that can break down prospects and scenarios the way a scouting department might. Great team. Great show.

Love listening to Dale and Matt but production issues make it really hard to like the show. From inconsistent audio levels, to commercials just randomly dropped into the middle of a sentence to the delays in getting content uploaded, it’s a hard show to love. Worst was this past week when they apparently taped shows at OTAs that literally never aired due to “technical issues.” Kids in their parents basement are better at this.

I absolutely love SNR Drive with Matt & Dale! TBH if Matt Williamson is part of a radio show/PodCast/Youtube Show I’m going to like it and most likely Love it. This is my favorite though, him and Dale feed off each other so well. I really enjoy hearing them as individual and their individual insights and their joint efforts as well! But the uploading of this show is terrible, it is so inconsistent it’s so hard to know when they’ll have the show on here!! It’s very aggravating!!!

Looking at the big picture takes some actual experience and Dale brings that as a veteran sports writer and Matt provides experience with ESPN and actually working with the Browns! And the synergy is apparent. Glad they got rid of the squeaky chair Matt used to have in the studio.

It’s pretty comical, Dale spends the week trashing the opponent and telling us how other teams stink, but then makes excuses why the Steelers lost. It’s obvious Matt has to bite his tongue during Dale’s nonsense. Matt’s the reputable one but Dale has to dominate the conversation unfortunately.

They are always optimistic no matter the situation is and make a ton of excuses for the Steelers.

Pittsburgh Steelers insider show is invaluable for fans that enjoy in-depth talk. Dale and Matt are great as a combo and they also bring separate POVs that offer more insights than either independently. Really enjoy them both. Not an ‘argument’ show a la Bayless garbage, just two experienced, intelligent guys who know this team, its players, and its fans.

It is a great show, but still NEVER posted properly like the other shows on SNR. Every week at least 2-3 shows are posted late or parts are missing. People in their basement can post podcasts, but not the Steelers Radio producers.

Matt is great, Dale is insufferable.

Dale needs to shut up and let Matt finish before interrupting. Matt’s the guy with league experience. Dale seems to want to try and control an argument when you can tell Matt’s above it all.

This is hands down the best Steelers podcast. These guys know their stuff and their opinions differ enough to keep the conversation engaging. I listen every day they’re on. Dale and Matt, keep up the great work! Yinz guys help me get my Steelers fix out here in Phoenix Arizona! Thank you

Matt and Dale are easily the best at reporting all TRUE AND FACTUAL Steelers news. Their work covering the team and the time they put in with NFL draft is unbelievable. If you are a Steelers fan, you will love this show.

Love Matt and Dale as they give it to you straight. They provide great Steelers coverage plus overall NFL happenings. Even the off season they give free agent analysis, great draft coverage providing player insights and you get a sprinkling of Bob Labriola to brighten up your day.

Love this show! Does anyone know what we have to wait days for the podcast to update??? Those 2 other children's shows on SNR update daily but not this one??? Very frustrating!!!

Matt and Dale do an excellent job explaining a wide range of goings on in the NFL and the Steelers. I listen to every single segment the day they’re released. If you’re a Steelers fan and have been sleeping on this podcast, you are severely missing out. I understand the team more than ever since I’ve been listening to the drive.

Love hearing Matt and Dale talk Steelers, and football in general. Tons of knowledge between the two of them, and they get way deeper into the Xs and Os than most talk show fluff, like where Juju is TikToking this weekend. Love the show.

5 star Steelers coverage!

The information in itself is very very good. Matt and dale work very well together. Both having very good insight in multiple things some even not Steelers related but good stuff there. Only qualm I have which I’ve seen mentioned is yes, dale does sometimes tend to talk over Matt or interrupt once in awhile, and his microphone definitely seems a lot louder than Matt’s. Also the podcast audio in general is very very low compared to other podcasts audio. But I truly believe it’s probably the best Steelers podcast out there. Great stuff guys!

These guys provide a deep commitment/insight to the craftwork of the NFL, with a focus on the Steelers. I can not recommend their program enough, to die hard Steelers fans!

I love the insight that the guys bring but it’s really hard to hear Matt Williamson and the guests that come in on the phone and it sounds like Dales mic is either turned up higher or he talks louder? Idk? Other than that great show keep up the great work guys.

Great discussion today about the postponement of Thanksgiving game. Agree with Dale and disagree with Bob.... smart decision for the health of everyone was to postpone. Fair? Who cares... life isn’t fair. The Steelers say they are committed to being “light on their feet”... so now they can walk the talk. Thanks for the entertaining show!!

I’m giving this show 5 stars because it is an excellent source for Steeler news, and fantasy updates. But with a caveat... Lolley’s unfounded arrogance knows no bounds. Basically his schtick is mimicking “average fan” views, then scoffing at them. Over and over... Apparently internet opinions mean a lot to him. But when he holds that to a minimum, and is not talking over Williamson, this is a podcast well worth your time.
