El SpondoThe Coaching Runners PodcastCoach Jay Johnson’s content has dramatically impacted the way we approach training our high school T&F and XC runners by reinforcing the things we were already doing well and challenging us to rethink the areas where we struggled. The podcast is well-planned and edited nicely.

MscottweissIndispensable for high school and youth coachesI am a veteran coach who discovered Jay Johnson’s resources a few years ago, and I am grateful I did. His book, articles, clinics, and videos are the best, and the podcast helps tie everything together. These podcasts offer concise distillations of Jay’s work in bringing together some of the best minds in coaching high school runners. Jay understands how complicated it is to be a high school coach, the balance between academics and athletics, and the need to somehow individualize training for diverse ranges of age, experience, and athleticism. The podcast format is great, because it’s a time-efficient way to absorb these nuggets of coaching wisdom. I like to listen during my commutes to and from school, and I’m always psyched to incorporate what I learn into the next practice or helping my kids be at their best in an upcoming meet. Enthusiastic 5 stars!

CSam61Coaching Kids? Listen to Jay JohnsonThis is my first year, coaching. Without Jay Johnson and the resources he brings to th table, I would have been much less effective. My teams ended up winning the regional championship and placed 2nd and 3rd at states. Their best combined result ever. Much of the credit goes to what I learned from mentors like Jay Johnson.

Doug PetrickLoving this podcast! So excited to see Coach Jay Johnson delivering an informative & positive podcast for 2018/2029! If you’re an athlete, coach, or fan of Running with the Buffaloes &/or Sub4 by Chris Lear episode 1 hits the sweet spot. My fave part of pod is hearing Lear’s take on principles of success from time spent with CU (Wetmore) & Michigan (Warhurst). I’m geeked for more Jay! Thx Chris for sharing your story & insight.
