The Self Love Fix

Welcome to The Self Love Fix Podcast. I’m your host, Beatrice -an embodiment coach, teacher, and mentor, and founder of The Self Love Over Codependency Program.

Are you ready to finally step into your worthiness and magnetism? Are you tired of your limiting beliefs and self-doubt affecting every aspect of your life? You deserve to live an abundant life, you deserve to desire and achieve all of your dreams, and most importantly, you deserve to embody unshakable self-confidence.

Believe it or not, I didn’t always embody self-trust. Most of my life, I lived at the mercy of what other people thought of me. It was only during a very low point I experienced during grad school where I asked myself, “Where does your need for perfectionism come from?”

This was a game-changing moment for me. For the first time in my life, I asked myself about the origins of my behavior instead of blaming myself for them.

From then on, I promised to live out my passion and mission for embodying my true essence and to teach others to do the same.

That’s exactly why I created this podcast. This podcast is all about helping you shift from shame, people-pleasing, codependency, low self-esteem, and self-doubt and into alignment, expansion, and unapologetic self-trust through spirituality and healing the inner-child.

    Great advice
My only criticism is to not drink water or eat anything straight into the mic 😭🤣 It threw me out of the episode every time. Otherwise this is great content and I like the tough love approach!!
  • rozzibooboo
I feel like her delivery is too harsh and she likes to mimic and mock people for thinking and feeling valid things. It’s one thing to say it how it is but she is borderline disrespectful in the delivery.

THANK YOU - well needed episode!
The “Did you lower your standards or just have conditional standards?” Episode spoke to me! 👏🏾👏🏾 I constantly preach about my boundaries but when my ex would break it, I just gave him grace and would forgive him. You’re so right, that’s not standards, that’s conditions! I need to work on being solid and loyal to myself! Thank you for opening my eyes to this. Keep doing what you’re doing! ❤️

Everyone listen to her please. She’s the realest!
Ugh girl, I just wanna say that I LOVE everything that you say. You remind me through every episode that I am WORTH IT. You remind me that even though I make mistakes, it’s not reason to tear myself apart.

    Thank you for sharing 🫶🏽
I listen to this podcast off and on when I know I need to get back in tune with myself. I just listened to the “it’s okay to not be okay” episode 31 and WOW. I bursted into tears it was all exactly what I needed to hear. This journey is such a rollercoaster and it’s so hard to give myself grace at times but I am so thankful for all my girls on their healing journeys out there and so thankful for this podcast. Makes me feel more human. I love you!💓💓💓

I love listening to hear her! I’m learning so much from her and grateful to her. First time writing a review so you know what that mean. As an immigrant myself I found a lot of relatability to her experience and working on healing. Keep doing what you’re doing your healing a lot of souls.

    Love this!
I’m fairly new to listening to podcasts & this is one of the first ones that I stumbled across & I am absolutely IN LOVE!! I’m listening to all the ones from 2019 😭😭 (that’s how deep I am lol) Thank you for making this podcast

The practical tips given in this podcast are so real and helpful💯

I listen to this podcast everyday while I work, literally 9 out of the 10 hours I clock in this podcast is playing through my headphones. I LOVE your point of view on everything. Im realizing though, I have a few narcissistic traits of my own. I know they’re rooted from my upbringing, I had an extremely narcissistic father and it affects me to this day. What would you suggest I do to dig deep enough to reverse this? I hate these parts about myself and they affect my current relationship, and my all around self worth.

I love, Love!- the content, but it’s hard for me to listen to this persons speech…it’s fast and she interrupts herself…says “like” wayyyyyy too much and just sounds like the equivalent of Morse code…dah dah dah dah… Sorry, but until you slow down your pace I can’t listen.

    You’re not broken 💕
All I knew was I wanted to change but didn’t know where to start. I stumbled across this podcasts when I was looking for motivational things to listen to in the morning. This is not that! If you listen to this in the morning it is not going to motivate you it is going to “trigger” you & give you something to think about, and let me tell you. I realized I would rather learn more about myself and have more control over my feelings and emotions instead of lie to myself on a daily basis and say I’m perfect. We’re not & that’s Ohkay! These podcasts give me a more positive outlook on life because I learned I control my perspectives. So here we are almost 2 years later and every episode drop I learn more and more about myself, ready to dive deep into my inner self and grow like the beautiful unique flower I am and always have been 🌻

    I am new
I stumbled across your podcast a few weeks ago and I can’t stop listening to her. This is definitely helping me find self love! ❤️❤️❤️
  • Crystal_Denise
    This entire show 🙌🏼
I’m new to the podcast scene… HOWEVER, I have spent the entire day listening to this particular podcast show because she hits the nail on the head EVERY SINGLE TIME. I’ve caught myself using what she is speaking about, like it’s me talking. The same situations, the same negative thoughts, how I think I can handle it, etc. I will definitely be listening weekly because she speaks what all of us feel!

December 2022 & I started the show from the first episode. I’m only on the 13th episode but this is the first podcast that I can actually relate to and look forward to listening to the next episode. I look forward to hearing the rest of the show. Thank you for being so open minded and relatable. It gives me a sense of not being alone and realizing how I’m not crazy & the feelings I have are normal!!

    This podcast is the future!
B, I LOVEEE your podcast! You’ve helped me so much realize that I’m not crazy, I’m not wild, I’m not bad luck. I just needed help loving me! I rather listen to you than scroll on social media. The Nov 30th podcast has me so fired up! It’s amazing to see how you’re a great teacher helping women but more so black women reach their ultimate soft era! You deserve ALL the flowers we have to give!
  • Conn Mel
Ep. 174 The content might be ok but the speakers have this whiny nasally voice you can’t get past. The earlier content was good it’s become teeny popper discussion.

    Become an Ad Fest
I used to adore this podcast, there were great tips with personal anecdotes that really motivated me. But now, the podcast is “here’s the problem… pay this for the solution” and it’s like at that point just make it known you’re selling something and no longer providing actual tips within the podcast.
  • gia6799
I just started your podcast from the very beginning (2019) which was three years ago!!!! & GIRL, I love it! I can only imagine what juicy things you have on here at this present day!

    I love “Self Love Fix”
I am not a woman of color but I definitely love Beatrice and all of the great things that she has to say. Beatrice provides a wealth of information. I’ve learned a lot!!! I can tell that she’s very caring and interested in what we are wanting to learn about on the podcasts.
  • bbooch215
    you’re incredible
i haven’t finished the podcast yet but so far you’ve opened my eyes to so many things you don’t even realize i do that negatively effects my life. a lot of the time it’s our own toxic doing & that’s why we’re left tryina figure out what we’ve done wrong. & it’s absolutely on a subconscious level. idk about anyone else but the way my brain works it’s like. ok he sent 3 emojis yesterday & today it’s just 1.. then i sit on that all day upset. in reality it’s just poisonous thinking & like you said .. the world doesn’t always revolve around you.. other ppl have lives & personal time that we should respect as well as them respecting ours. i think in trying to do all these things you said for yourself we also should be respecting the other person in the same way. i hope im making sense lol

Thank you for this! I’ve listened many times and take away so much from it. You are a god send ♥️

    Mixed feelings
I used to loooove this podcast but I feel like the ads are so repetitive. I totally get wanting to speak on your services, but maybe doing so in the middle of your talk isn’t the best? Maybe at the beginning or at the end? Idk, but the content is good!
  • TTC Trying
    Listen to this one!
In a sea of a million podcasts on “self-help, self-care, and living your best life,” I finally found one that is helpful, insightful, and cuts out all the unnecessary chatter. She gets down to business and keeps her format the same so you get used to how to listen to her with ease.

    Hey Girl Hey
I swear by Beatrice’s podcasts, they are so pure! I found these podcast about 3 years ago and since then I have changed SO much. Beatrice has a way of using her knowledge to not only teach others but she has a natural way of guiding her listeners through their self love process. 5 stars on Yelp, no doubt.

    Sales pitch
I genuinely love this podcast. Beatrice has touched on a lot of great topics, and I’ve learned a lot from. However, it feels like more recently the episode have been more focused on trying to sell the workshops/course rather than just having an authentic conversation.

    Life changing.

    Feels Like I Know You
My whole life I’ve been struggling with self love, having many of the same obstacles you have expressed on the podcast. My life seemed was taking a turn for the worst, until i decided to start a self love journey. Not that i knew what that meant, but i came across this podcast and it has drastically helped me understand the key concepts for why self love is important, and how life changing it truly is. I really feel like I’m talking to a friend or my inner self; we’re the same culture, same age, been through same experiences, and I’m a recovering codependent (you taught me that). Shoot, we even drive the same car, lol. I want to be better, not only for me but for my gracious partner who has been through a lot with me, and this podcast along with the recommended books has been helping me get there! Truly amazing podcast! Casual but informative! LOVE IT! ❤️❤️

  • FIR3M0M
You are amazing. It is not me. Thank you! I am in my early 50’s, married, divorced. I was just in a long term relationship, that I recently ended. It all make sense, 9 years spent with someone who was emotionally unavailable, because, yes I thought I would be able to change him and make him love me. Not true, I have since become emotionally unavailable for the fear of being hurt. You gave me thinking. Funny I was not looking for you, I was just looking for a podcast to listen to “everyone comes into your life for a reason “ hypothetical, obviously you are not present physically, but you are on my phone and there is definitely a reason I click on your podcast. Thank you for making me feel like I was not the reason the relationship didn’t work no matter how much I gave. ❤️

    Yes girl yes!
I’ll keep this review short & simple. I love that Beatrice is a Bay Area native like me and discusses astrology from time to time. I feel even more connected to her episodes. This podcasts is calm, confident, everything is beautifully explained, genuine and to the point. 10/10!

Last night I was googling some self love podcasts and I seen her podcast on there. I started listening to her podcast and honestly, everything she says is very true & VERY relatable. I’ve been trying to get in the process of loving myself & have that self esteem. I’m starting my journey so hopefully I will be able to achieve that self-love & having that good self-esteem. I literally couldn’t get through half of this podcast without stopping to cry and reflect. I felt this episode was personally talking to me because I keep falling into these situationships and could not figure out why and this made me look at things through a completely different lenses. I am so grateful for this podcast, this is definitely one of my favorites I’ve learned so much!

    Situationships episode
I loved this episode. It made me reflect how I used to see intimacy and what it’s like for me in my current long term relationship.

    A learning experience
I am new to self love and have learned so much from Beatrice. I had a completely wrong idea of what codependency was and didn’t think it applied to me, but boy was I wrong. This podcast helped me analyze my own behavior by being real and blunt. Even though she is sharing information that a person might not want to learn about themselves, she is gentle and encouraging and gives you the tools to face your issues. Thank you, Beatrice!
