IFYTITThe Smartest Comrades in the RoomThese hosts are generally recognized as being the cleverest of the comrades. They’ve elaborated old Marx’s teachings into a complete system of thought, to which they gave the name of Comradism. The hosts are so clever that they can think of a way around every difficulty. They do not actually work, but direct and supervise the others. With their superior knowledge it was natural that the hosts should assume the leadership. They are the brainworkers of the comrades.

TightNstinkyIs no one gonna say it?Some of the things Breht says are seriously sus ??? It’s not Marxism . Also for someone that claims to be so enlightened and spiritual there is a serious massive unchecked EGO there. Serious lack of self awareness. it’s really funny hearing Alyson interact with him. Yikes!

LeftistTechBroReal Left TalkJust a great straight up leftist podcast

Peter BaelishGenocide DenialThis podcast actively engages in Genocide denial. It’s disgusting. They’re willing to excuse the most horrific acts simply because they are perpetuated by global actors opposed to the United States. It is truly horrifying. This podcast is the concept of “Useful Idiots” in archetype.

baklavaboi_binging thisi have been listening for almost a week straight. just finishing the very first episode and will start listening on chronological order. having a trans woman speak on this is something that helps me, as a trans woman, conseptualize marxism in a way that doesn’t make ppl like me feel left out. i would love an instagram acct to follow or hey like if u need an instagrammer i wld love to make myself avail. at any rate, thank u to comrades brent and alyson for assisting in not just my waking from a deep deep sleep of liberal hypnosis and hypocrisy, but also for giving me the tools to reckon with the atrocities my peasant parents experienced at the hands of what i feel is a revisionist. while also reckoning with the fascistic propaganda they passed on from my father’s own views seeding a false understanding of leftism as a whole.

Aiden1010101On Scotus' War on the PeopleTo be honest, I think that instilling the solidarity within the American working class is to really explain it to them, what's happening and what we can do without using the trigger words. As well as using the majority Christian, Muslim, etc, beliefs to really let them know that we need to not only have empathy for one another as the working class, but solidarity.\

rf 37New SCOTUSBest critique of this bunch of corrupt elites I’ve ever heard! Keep up the good work!

RobpertRaymondTruly excellentI can't thank Breht and Alyson enough for putting together this incredible podcast – it's an essential resource for those of us on the left who want to tackle what might seem to be inaccessible texts in theory. The hosts of this podcast spend so much time making this stuff not just digestible and relevant to our current world — but also enjoyable! Thank you both so much for all that you do!

amadeaux234perhappleFantastic minus vocal fryI’m not usually a podcast person but Red Menace is an excellent and engaging show. Alyson and Breht methodically parse theory in a super accessible and listenable way. However, Alyson’s vocal fry is, for me, enough of a barrier to me wanting to listen at all to take away two stars. I don’t take issue with vocal fry as a concept in the way that a lot of really insufferable people (usually old, usually white, usually men) do, but Alyson’s vocal fry makes it really difficult (for me at least) to concentrate on what Alyson is saying, which is frustrating, because I know what she’s saying is really valuable.

w00f w00fNot who they sell themselves to beBreht is a miserable person who neglects, disrespects, and abuses his collaborators if they so much as disagree with him once on a minor distinction. He plays a levelheaded revolutionary but the reality is that he's an vain and unscrupulous opportunist with a silver tongue. Don't waste your time.

AlexJonesStalinistRedLib PodcastAnti-anti-establishment, anti-anti-imperialist, anti-SWCC. Need I say more?

Shen-YunApproachable Theory for Dummies Like MeThank you so much for breaking these theories down in a way that the average person can digest them. You are the best, keep up the good work!

pleasesirmayiwriteareviewExcellent AnalysisThe hosts are intelligent and well spoken. They analyze complicated texts and events in a way that is manageable, but nuanced. Anyone interested in critical analysis and Marxism would greatly benefit from listening.

__creosote___This podcast is inspiring and soberingIt’s such a treat to listen to such careful, nuanced analysis of political events. I find Alyson and Breht’s treatment of Russia and Ukraine to be very helpful in attributing some real causality to what’s going on with NATO, Russia, the United States, and Ukraine

Aaron HymanIn-depth AnalysisBreht and Alyson give detailed analysis of historical Communist and Marxist texts. As anyone who has read Marxist literature knows, it is vast, thick, and sometimes in need of a second (or third) read before grasping the deep concepts. On most episodes, they take an important work and ask each other questions they had on the books. Both of their answers spawn deep discussions that really bring the nuances in the writings to the surface. After every episode I’ve listened to, I feel like I have a better comprehension of not only the books they are discussing, but a deeper understanding of why moving in this direction is our species’ best chance of reaching our potential, or at least not ruining the planet. Even if you aren’t a Communist or commie-curious, the discussions are thought provoking in a completely non idealistic way. Even understanding different perspectives in history keep me coming back.

Brendo69420Super informative and helpfulAs a budding socialist organizer this podcast has been very helpful in exposing me to and explaining revolutionary theory in a clear but nuanced way. As well as helping me sharpen and refine my analysis. And I can listen at work rather than having to set large periods of time aside for reading!! My favorite episodes have been on contradiction by mao and what is to be done by Lenin. Solidarity y’all.
-
Zip2musicIncredible!!I highly recommend this podcast along with Revolutionary Left Radio, it’s very informative, thoughtful and well done. Simp for Alyson 🖤

bigsquidsIncisive, Thought Provoking AnalysisBrent and Alyson are a fantastic duo with a very systematic approach to the topics they cover. I always learn something new. Must- listen show for anyone on the left interested in good material analysis.
-
Miss SadfaceAnonymousYou are quite literally speaking the words of genocidal maniacs that weaponized propagation to control masses. Truth? There is not an ounce of truth that comes out of the mouths of communists like Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot, or Rouge. They were sociopaths that did the devils bidding through collectivism, emotionalism, group think, psychological warfare, and genocide. And all for the “good of the people,” right?
-
thapuuuWell thought through, principled ideasLike Revolutionary Left Radio, this show has really opened my mind to new sources of knowledge and is a great example of how principled discourse should be done. It’s materialist and decolonial educational role about topics harmful to power structures is essential in these times of more and more hegemony in liberal and conservative media which tend to skew political discourse in maintenance of capitalism/ colonialism/ imperialism/ nationalism/ fascism. (Yes they are quite linked historically in that order, listen to start learning about this history unfolding in front of us today.) Further, this show addresses by Marxist tendency the injustices caused by capitalism’s design and invites revolutionary voices to share their expert insights of various topics, successfully inspiring this long winded-reviewer.
