    Great information!
I just found this a couple of weeks ago from another budget podcast and binged all the episodes in just a couple of weeks. Thank you for sharing! Some info I had heard from other budget gurus but it was so good to hear it in a new way. I found some useful info and it gave me the renewal I needed to give me a fresh look on my budget😁 and also all in a non guilt or judgmental way. I loved all the updates on student loan forgiveness and found some new budget tools to help.

    No need to knock others
I was instantly annoyed with the tagline “life is messy and rarely fits inside of a cash envelope” - clearly a jab at the Ramsey cash envelope system. I rarely find a good content creator that needs to bash other (proven) systems within the first 3 minutes of their show.

    Sound Advice
This podcast is amazing & inspring for anyone learning how to budget, live within your means, money advice and how to pay off debt. Lydia is relatable, knowledgeable & it feels like listening to a good friend chat about money and life matters but without lecturing.

    New to the podcast
I started paying attention to finances about 2 months ago and listening to podcasts on my commute. This is my favorite right now! I think your voice is soothing and lovely to listen to and you have concrete, realistic advice to share that I can really relate to. In particular I like how you don’t go on and on about a particular idea. In so many videos and podcasts people talk about one simple tip/idea for 5 minutes and even if it was useful to me it doesn’t need that much explanation! I really like how you are succinct and efficient with your time. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with the world.

    Great gift for grads!
I have just come across your podcast I think it’s very interesting and uses such good common sense. The one thing I’ve done in the last few years is to give graduates a start on retirement savings. I also do this for teenagers at Christmas or on birthdays, too. Give them $50-$100 to open a Roth IRA. I ask them to promise to put a portion of every check they get as a gift or that they earn into that Roth. It’s amazing to see how quickly the money adds up. Long after I am dust, that Roth will keep earning money and making the future safe for people I care about.

Practical tips from a real person
I listen to a lot of frugality, simplicity and minimalism podcasts and this one has served up two game changing tips. Since adopting the recommended pay period budget strategy (using Lydia’s free template) and adding a money minute to every day, I feel so much more on top of my finances! If you want a real perspective on personal finance, give this podcast a try.

    Love Lydia
I’ve followed Lydia for a few years now through my debt free journey. She is relatable and so easy to listen to. She is your best friend, mentor, and cheerleader. I love the length of her podcast episodes. Long enough to give you great material and insight, but short enough to listen to in between work, life and mom duties. Give it a listen. Thanks for all you do, Lydia!

    Practical advice beyond frugality
I just started my journey towards becoming debt free. There is a saturation of information. I typed debt free on the podcast search and was immediately drawn by this podcast. I love that Lydia is judgement free and will offer a wealth of information without the rigidity of sticking to a specific plan. She encourages flexibility, and will love on you hard while remaining graceful. I also like the the segments are brief making it easy for me to make time to listen and absorb.

Lydia is a supportive voice along your debt-free journey!
Listening to Lydia’s podcast or her channel on YouTube is like calling a good friend. She is REAL, she has DONE IT, and she gives great advice. She doesn’t pretend to have it all together or be perfect. She is somehow comforting AND inspiring. Lydia, thank you for sharing your unique perspective and journey!! By taking what works for me and applying it to the road I’m on myself, Lydia’s content is helping me in my debt-free goals!! Keep going, Lydia, we need your voice in the personal finance/debt free communities!!

    Love listening to your poscasts!
Feels like I am listening to a friend.... you have no guilt pressure and let us know not everyone does the same thing and you need to find what works and you give us the different ideas.
  • Budgeting Bunny
    I love this!
Hi! I first starting following you on YouTube. I’m so happy you had a podcast as well, I love your content! You make me feel good about not always being motivated to be frugal or stick to my budget, but you offer helpful tricks and tips to stay disciplined enough that it works itself out. Like how important it is to not just meal plan, but to have easy meals planned. To do things I can in advance for to make it easier on myself when I’m just not in the mood. Your videos and podcast remind me that perfect is not reality and sometimes good enough is just fine! And I’m so with you, I’m keeping my skinny jeans I don’t care what these young kids say!❤️

Working on to be debt free
Hi there my name is cameron. I just wanted to say you have been very amazing with your podcast! I’m still working the savings part it’s going to be talking awhile for on that . in last 6 months I have been listening to you . I had paid off about 7/10 credit cards . I only have three more left . Omg I never felt so relief. But I hope your continuing your work . There are people like who come to you and seek advice when they are just so close to pay off their credit cards. I started at 62,000 dollars to know at 52,300 . Mostly of its car payment. Rest is credit cards and also student loan . And look I’m not claiming bankruptcy or anything because I got myself in this mess and I’m working my way out on this I’m hoping in little of 4 yrs I’ll be paying off 52,300. I’m working my butt off to nice stuff . But most of all I can’t wait to pay off this freaking suv ! I hope we talk ; if not I understand life gets busy . But just letting you know you are the person who has been spot on and one point on how I feel but also who has guided me in different ways that I could never thought of for my finances. Thanks Cameron .

Lydia is the REAL DEAL. Her honesty and down to earth attitude makes her so relatable and admired. I cannot think of anyone I would want to learn about budgeting from more than her. I can’t say enough good things about Lydia and her pod cast. She’s amazing. So thankful to have found her.

    Just what I needed
This is a great, realistic podcast for getting out of debt. I appreciate how Lydia talks about the human factor: Thoughts, feelings and behaviors are addressed, not just a list of to dos. 💚

    Excellent Advice, Accessible Information
I’ve loved her YouTube channel and was so happy when Lydia started a podcast. She’s inspired me to get multiple months of savings, actively work towards paying off my debt, and start towards my new career/side hustle. I’m even saving towards buying my new (to me) car in cash. She’s an amazing host with bite size, digestible information to think about as I’m budgeting. Thank you for all you do.

    Quality Podcast
To all of those who may be considering if this is a great podcast, don’t swipe left like Tinder, but swipe right as this is a great place. Miss Lydia, the most recent podcast on “toxic shame” was extremely transparent and most definitely needed. Thank you so much for doing what you do and keep on at it. Take Care! So relevant to the past 30 days I’ve had. Trying to get on board again. It’s tough to keep at it when everything gets so busy and you’ve fallen off track. Survive mode gets ya know where!

    So thankful!
Your wisdom and encouragement are exactly what I need right now! I’m a mom of four very young learning how to be financially independent for the first time in my life. I’ve been following Dave Ramsey for awhile because I love common sense and achievable goals! You follow his basic advice while being so enjoyable to listen to, relatable, grounded, inspiring, and capable of making difficult situations seem more approachable and fixable! Thank you!

    Love Lydia!
I’ve been following Lydia for years- first back at Five for Five Meals and then at her YouTube channel. She’s so authentic; she speaks to the “real”. I can’t wait to see where the podcast goes. Keep talking to all of us who are trying to balance all of it. (I’m not sure if it’s a glitch on my end, but I noticed a lot of cutting out as I was listening to the first podcast. Just a heads up in case anyone else mentions it.)
  • Mtoro23
    So happy for this podcast
I found Lydia on YouTube not too long ago and what I love is that she is so well spoken and is not trying to “sell” anybody anything. She is speaking from experience. She is honest and real with her advice. Highly recommend.
  • Pinkqueen1
OMG... this will be the best podcast ever!
Lydia is such an inspiration! She is down to earth and straight to the point... I used to hate looking at my finances because I knew I was way over budget, after following on IG and YT, she has given me so much guidance and hope. I’ve already paid off two credit cards! Yay!!! You are truly amazing Lydia... Thank You! Looking forward to every episode to come!
