PuppyQuestion123Question: puppy doesn’t eatHi! I love your podcasts! I just brought my puppy home, and I’ve had lots of success implementing your advice. Quick question: how do I stop puppy whining? He’s usually quiet during the day (like, hardly makes a sound), but then he’ll whine for 2 hours straight during the night. I’m not sure what to do. We also have a problem because my puppy refuses to eat. We’ve bought about 5 bags of kibble, tried the puppy meals that companies send ready to eat, and even give him salmon, beef, pork, chicken and lamb that we cook. He refuses to eat the all and we have to hand feed him. What should I do? Thank you!

Doggie DavidYes!Very helpful podcast. The online program requiring paid membership (more depth, slower going) is very helpful too. Both are repetitive, and in combination even more so, but I have found this to be good in this instance. I started with the most recent of the 170 podcast episodes, and after 10 or so switched to the beginning episodes so they play one after another automatically. Of the first 30 episodes, only two were not helpful, and only because there are no children or other pets in my home. The other 28 episodes were helpful even though I have also attended two full courses of the online program. So as the host Amy would say, “Yes!”

Leona WilliamsBaxter & Bella podcast and programI love this podcast and this training program! I’m member of the lifetime program and I am thrilled with it. It is walking me step-by-step how to train my new puppy. I receive one on one help and when I have a question in the middle of the night, I can send an email and receive a response back within 24 hours. The website is full of resources that I can access day or night. I highly recommend this program!

Mini Goldendoodle HenrySo much great information!I have learned so much about what to expect with our new puppy. After we got our date to pick up our mini goldendoodle, I joined the Baxter and Bella on-line classes. Amy gives even more information in her on-line classes. I feel prepare but fearful I will forget everything when we get our puppy home 😂. Fortunately I can watch classes at any time .

its.livSuccessful Self-TrainingI got my first puppy a year and a half ago now. In the weeks leading up to picking him up I started listening to this podcast and referred to it frequently through the core months of training. Every time I was about to give up and pay for some private training, I’d find an episode addressing the problem I was having and give it one more shot… It’s not easy! But these methods are effective if you’re consistent! Now my pup is a year and a half and people are always praising how well behaved he is. And when we need some refresh training, I always come back. 🐶

Kelly.MoySo helpful and enjoyable to listen to!My husband and I have never been dog owners and decided to bring two Black Lab puppies home last week. Along with lots of articles and YouTube videos, this podcast has been an amazing support for our puppy training! Listening has helped me stay patient when teaching the pups what I DO want them to do and she makes it easy to understand the “why” behind the “what”. Thank you for your stories and instruction! My family and these puppies are benefitting very much. 😊
-
Hannah and IndyI LISTEN EVERY DAY 🤍 LOVE ITThis is the best podcast. I am preparing to bring home a new puppy next week and I cannot stop listening! I can’t wait to keep listening each week as I raise my puppy! Thank you thank you thank you!
-
Miz soSelf confidenceJust thank you, this is solid advice for people who are trying to train dogs. I am not a professional trainer but I have trained dogs and worked at a rescue. But it’s been a while. And I am getting a new puppy, I though I would listen to this a brush up my skills and give myself some self confidence about it. And it’s great to remember so much, I had forgotten and you have many great games to make it more fun.
-

ashmarty_Only Positive Things to Say!Amy’s online training was so perfect for us, as we got the “Covid puppy.” We also considered taking our new puppy to a local trainer in case the online approach didn’t work, but never needed to because Baxter & Bella’s trainings worked great for us! There’s so many resources as a member for every situation. We couldn’t be happier with Amy help. Thank you!
-
QuiincybrehhBest Puppy Training PodcastEverything she has said has helped with my new puppy! You can definitely tell she’s a professional.

MandyLovesPuppyPower to the Puppy!!!Getting my very first puppy next month, I’m a researcher and was looking for a podcast/trainer that used techniques that I had researched but it was good at describing and walking me through them. This is the one, she’s brilliant! Thorough, quick, kind, and hopefully so effective. When she describes her tips I can see myself doing them, a very visual person over here! So grateful to have access to this. I plan to listen to all of these and dive deeper into her website for online training. I’ll do an updated post once I put all of these practices into action!
-
Nahnahnahhnah heyhey goodbyeSo helpful!First time puppy owner and this has been so helpful for getting me (and him) ready for the world!
-
HesimpSo very helpful!First time dog owner here! Our breeder (Stony Brook Australian Labradoodles) introduced us to Baxter & Bella. I first started listening to the podcast and felt it was such good information. I went ahead and purchased the online training course b/c it goes into so much more detail. We have had our puppy for one month now and I can honestly say that having these podcasts and the training course has made all the difference in the world to us having a great experience with our puppy. Very thankful for Amy and her team of trainers!!! Highly recommend!

Maxwell ErnstBest puppy training resource out thereI am a future first time puppy owner - picking up a miniature golden doodle on January 22nd. I’ve read multiple books and listened to multiple podcasts about puppy training before discovering this podcast, and this is by far the most comprehensive, digestible, entertaining, and informative resource I’ve found thus far. It lays out step by step how to achieve the ideal companionship that I hope to share with my future dog. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and unprepared like I was, I highly recommend checking out this podcast. You will not be disappointed! Thanks Amy! Max and future pup Lenny
-
BenWilleford125Thank YouI’ve only had my puppy for a few weeks but this podcast has been super helpful in the short time I’ve applied your tips. Highly recommend this for any dog owner! Thanks Amy

aspiring trajner 2021Amazing podcastI really enjoy this podcast so much. Amy is clear and concise with advice she gives her clients and podcast listeners. I love how she puts a positive spin on the instructions she gives out!
-
scscscscscscscsMy new puppy!I listened to this podcast for several months while we were puppy searching. We were on the two-year puppy plan and finally had enough money, time, & motivationTo dedicate to getting a puppy. My 11-year-old daughter was very excited as she kept reminding me it was about that time. We decided what kind of dog we wanted after much research & decided on a miniature Australian Shepherd. We listen to many podcasts first and then I signed up for the course a few weeks ago when I knew our puppy was going to be coming this past weekend. We visited her a few times with the breeder and fell in love with her. Brought her home two days ago and this program has helped so so much! My daughter is training like a pro and the potty training process and everything else is going very very well due to this wonderful program! Thank you Amy! For all your hard work! I’m sure will meet on video sometime!
-
nickle_12345678My preferred training styleI had dogs growing up and have always loved dogs and learning about their natural behaviors and how to use those behaviors to to be a benefit for everyone in the family. My husband and I have been preparing for our puppy for a while now, but started really listening to lots of podcasts and different training videos in the last few months. I’ve been listening to different trainers with different approaches but I’ve found that I prefer the style of training and bonding that is talked about in this podcast. Anything I listen to, I take with a grain of salt. You’ve always got to adjust little things here and there to better match you and your puppy, but so far I’ve really liked what I’ve heard and learned here.
-
dancer_517Extremely HelpfulOh my goodness, this podcast has saved me over and over again while training my 2.5 month old golden doodle!! Her tips are so well explained and easily applicable, and they absolutely work! She also is amazing at reminding me to enjoy the puppy training and make it fun! Any dog owner would benefit from this podcast!
-
SkeverGreat training infoI joined the Baxter and Bella online training program and just subscribed to the podcast. We are picking up our new puppy in a week and I have learned so many things. Wish this would have been around to train my other dogs! I am extremely impressed with the program and the cost is very reasonable for the wealth of information offered.
-
themasotti4So helpful! Each episode has been relevant to our questions as we welcome a puppy into our home. I am thankful for this wonderful resource!
-
MommaSciLove! So thankful for finding this podcast before getting our new puppy! We fostered puppies over the pandemic months and wish we’d found this before that. 🤣
-
ChrislaNich17AmazingI HIGHLY recommend this podcast, but YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED to pay the SMALL fee to have the training. Our precious puppy is a complete gem. Because of the Baxter and Bella training we CONSTANTLY get compliments on how she is the most well behaved puppy people have ever seen. I can’t say enough good things about this great program.
-

-
valentinewigganExcellent! Listen before your pup comes home! She is clear, positive, upbeat and really breaks down what you need to know in order to communicate with your pup and guide you to help them become great dogs! This podcast was so good I spent the money for the full program!
-
JessLynn208I’ve learned so much!I’ve never had a puppy and finally succumbed to my children’s begging for a dog. But I had no idea what I was doing. I listen to this podcast regularly, and often with my kids. The training tips are so helpful and have helped our family and puppy so much!
-
Buzzybear223AMAZINGAmy has such good advice & she has a great training philosophy (positive behavior reinforcement). She presents evidence-based techniques, and is super organized. I highly recommend signing up for her online course.
-
LasudioTimelyI’ve got a puppy coming shortly so I have subscribed to four different podcasts and I am reading two different books about puppies! This podcast is by far the most informative and the most helpful for someone who has never raised a puppy before; highly recommended!

carolinayogaAmy is amazingI love this podcast. It’s helped me so much with our new puppy. I like that Amy gets straight to the point in each episode. Her training style is practical, relatable and easy to apply. She uses a positive disciple approach and Im convinced there’s no better way to train a puppy. My puppy wants to please me because we’re constantly creating positive associations for him to behave well. We love Amy so much we became members of her training program which is A-maz-ing! Her website for members has everything you need-video lessons, written lessons, printable checklists and she hosts live online coaching sessions-privates and groups. Baxter and Bella is the best! We are very happy! -Moony and family (Kamila and Sebastian)
