Captivating and well researched

By bringing to the forefront all the lies, the cheating, the hypocrisy by the subjects of your podcast, you have quickly become beacons of truth and ‘Rockstars for what’s Right!’ The work you all do is so important especially in the current political, social and cultural environment. Keep up the great work! And keep helping America keep her promise of equality for all!

I just binge listened to seasons 1-3. Holy cow. This is a well made series. I connected with season 1 on a personal level due to my indoctrination by school counselors into believing that I wouldn’t amount to anything without a college degree. It ended up being a waste of time and money. Seasons 2-3 are very informative and they explain in depth a piece of our current socio-political climate in a way that I only had partial knowledge of. Keep up the good work. The Jane Doe’s deserve justice. I hope this series continues.

All the team did a great job at researching, fact checking and interviewing people. I loved how this ruffled conservative feathers; to which I say: if you don’t like what’s said, don’t provide material for it. Please continue the good job regardless of political inclination, religion or race. What’s wrong is wrong and must be denounced and judged to the full extent of the applicable law. I’d just point out that the editing wasn’t the best; I don’t know if it’s the platform or if the episodes were uploaded and then replaced. There are some of them where the editing job wasn’t good at all, repeating audio that was already included and some cuts weren’t seamlessly done. Also, the volume of audio can improve, the audio recording of the host voice wasn’t good.

What a needed investigation into Liberty U. How people are comfortable sending their kids there, I will never know. I’m only on episode 4 but am hoping the excessive number of student suicides is also brought up. The fall semester has not even started and they already have one. This institution needs to be exposed and Andrew really did the work. Bravo.

I’m just about to finish the first season and I gotta say this hit me hard because I was experiencing the same thing senior year of high school. Its crazy to me that everyone out there including me are working like a dog to try to pay for college and to get good grades to get in to the best school when others who don’t lift a finger and can just write a check and their in.

I agree with what one review said about Season 1 being great. It was. Season 2 was interesting and I hung in through it all. Season 3? You're just attacking conservatives and conservative values. And it's not even veiled. Not once, in my life, have I ever heard Jesus Christ described as the lady did in S3, Ep.8. That is the biggest load of manure I've ever heard!! No one knows for sure what He looked like, but He sure didn't look like a sword wielding Rambo!! I will look forward to your investigation into the Biden crime family, Burisma, The Clintons, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell and BLM. I doubt that'll happen though, we all know the rumors about people who investigate the Clintons.

This bonus episode focusing around Shannon and her unbelievable journey is incredible. Thank you for devoting the resources to her. It gives me goosebumps. She deserves this acknowledgment and honor. That creepy “investigator “ Morris is a low-life criminal; reminded me of Alex Murdaugh.

Tried, really tried to enjoy season 3. But it was very difficult to get past the constant barrage of “what Gangster Capitalism discovered….what Gangster Capitalism found….what Gangster Caputalism learned…” I KNOW who is behind the podcast, why the constant name dropping?! It’s inane how much they do this. Additionally, the host speaks like he’s quasi-yelling at you the entire time. I would have preferred almost any of the guests that were interviewed instead. Nonetheless I hung in there. I thought the topic was interesting enough, but didn’t really learn much that was surprising. It’s common knowledge that evangelical families like the Falwells are terribly corrupt, scam artists, and immoral. Christian universities are a joke. The best part of this pod is the end sadly with the victims of assault speaking up. I hope you one day find peace, none of you deserved any of what you went through.

Well done , the first season is by far the best , very interesting , well researched . Season 2 and 3 just seem like partisan hit jobs against Conservative ideals . Why don’t you investigate the Clinton Foundation or BLM money donations ? 4 stars for season one

Listening to this and the personal stories of the students who were abused, I find myself horrified and angry. You certainly do a remarkable job of digging to the truth. I have to wonder how many listeners who support those like Falwell, Trump, Jimmy Swagert, and all of the other con men will find this story an exaggeration or a just plain false. There are so many who support their own preconceived notions regardless of the evidence. At least Larry Nassau finally went to prison after abusing so many young athletes and after the many complains that were ignored.

Entertaining, fact full. Interviews are with numerous persons who were directly involved at LU. Much effort was put into contacting the people in question with various responses. All well done and added much value to the podcast.

I’d like to see an investigation on Hunter Biden.

Thanks for discussing the Falwell mafia in this show. Incredibly well done season 3. I wish more of the church would listen to this and understand why we are all leaving. It’s a no from us. Religion is a business. Glad someone loudly said so in this format. THANK YOU.

Men need to hear these stories, and support these women who have faced these assaults only the be further humiliated by powerful institutions. Hooray for Gangster Capitalism for exposing disingenuous organizations like Liberty U!

I am so thankful for the in depth reporting Gangster Capitalism has done and the voice they have given to these women who were assaulted. Very proud of them for coming forward. I hope there is great reform that happens at LU as a result of this podcast.

Well made and just a great story telling …

The coverage of liberty university and it’s shameful history is so tragic for the women and men involved. This podcast did an amazing job shedding light on the horrors inside that world. The writers did a wonderful job of bringing every detail they knew to light while also keeping the listener on track with little details and the timeline. It’s wonderful journalism of a terrible story. Liberty University should question its next moves.

This is very good, in-depth reporting that feels credible. The host is easy to listen to and brings some very important issues to light. Based on the extent of the information, I’m sure these are very time consuming to investigate, organize, and produce, but I hope there will be more seasons to come!

I have only listened to Season 1. I think the parents who bought their kids admissions should have been punished harsher. The schools should not have been allowed to keep the money and should have had significant consequences. But whining about homework for kids is ridiculous. Crappy parenting all around and most of the kids are not victims, they posed for pictures for crying out loud.

So very proud of the bravery of these women who shared their stories. Bravo on great reporting!

But my god, my grammar god, PLEASE, man, please: It is NEVER between “HE and so-and-so.” It is ALWAYS “between HIM and so-and-so.” Grammar isn’t hard. i’m constantly baffled by writers/journalists who don’t know/show basic grammar. It’s also not a gray area or an opinion: it’s a fact! It is so frustrating.

I have told everyone I know who has any interest in religion, American Christianity, higher ed, nonprofits and their regulations, and the damage that can be done when religion and politics become fused, that they simply must listen to every episode of Season 3.

These millionaire tv evangelists make me sick to my stomach. The investigative journalism is very thorough, but could only get through the first two episodes. The topic is so dark and duplicitous, that it is hard to listen.

Can’t figure out who the show is about Jerry Falwell or Donald Trump. It’s amazing how they can spin one guy acting like an animal and make it All about DonalD Trump.

Like Trump, Falwell needs to be brought to justice, stripped of his status at the university and beyond, and come forth with a true account of his deceit and laundering

This episode tells you what police are & what they do. Women need another system for sexual crimes because cops get off on the injustice of it all.

The in depth factual reporting on the Gangster Capitalism podcast is among the best ‘journalism’ out there! The Jerry Falwell series was nothing short of incredible investigative reporting with dogged intent. The way they supported and helped the victims thru the emotional turmoil of coming forward was absolutely the best of truth and empathy.

Every season has been great. Highly recommended.

I grew up going to a southern baptist mega church in Atlanta in the mid 90s and the things i saw at camps and church vans would make Larry Flynt blush. My heart goes out to those women for what they went through. Nobody should have to endure that. I’m shocked at what has been exposed. But, i can’t say i’m surprised. A lot of people that put on a big show of faith are really just using the church as another country club. The Falwells have always struck as a peculiar type of low life family. Turns out my intuition is pretty dead on.

First two episodes were great, after that you can totally tell what this is spinning into. Just leftist/liberal brainwashing propaganda. What a joke!

Have loved every season. Are there going to be any more seasons?

I have been impressed with all three seasons of Gangster Capitalism, especially season 3. Thanks for the f/u on Liberty University. I’m sure there is more that will come to light. Highly recommend this podcast to all of my friends!

There is absolutely no excuse for the Falwell’s behavior. However, there are numerous inaccuracies regarding the January 6th incident at the capital. For one, Jenks states there were five people who died that day at the capital. Really. Can he name them and provide the circumstances of their deaths. He knows there was only one and lets the leftist line slip in for dramatic effect. This podcast would have been more effective had he stuck to the truth instead of throwing in all the leftist angles.

I thought this was a really well done podcast. The getting all the interviews with everyone was really impressive and well done. The help with the lawsuit in the follow up episodes was also a really cool thing they are doing!

Thank you for this podcast. So sad that these sick people have been allowed to take taxpayers money to earn millions of dollars for themselves. How sick the board members to the employees. This is not what not how Christians act or live. They will have to answer for their sins and be held at a higher standard for what they claim to be. These Trump supporters continue to blame everyone except these NUTS. Trump has tried to destroy our country.

Season 3 is my first season of GC. I identify as a conservative Christian, so this podcast has been both mind blowing and heartbreaking. Parents of girls, this is a must listen! I admire the people who spoke out. So much change is needed, and hopefully this podcast is the catalyst.

Really an excellent, well researched and well done podcast about Liberty University and it’s corruption. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Before stating a mild critique below, let this be said: this podcast is very well done and engagingly presented. I should also say that this review only pertains to season 3, about Falwell and Liberty, and that I haven’t listened to the others. While at times the reporting paints Christianity in general and Republican-affiliated Christians with a too-broad brush, by the last episode of the season there is a tacit recognition that moral conservatism and evangelical Christianity are not the root problem, and can be expressed in ways that avoid the evils of Falwell, Liberty, et al. For example, the narrator often mentions those who lost their faith after leaving Liberty, but also interviews (without narrating the significance) those who rejected Liberty’s expression of Christianity while maintaining biblical faith. In the end, a balance is struck in this regard, but not because of the narration, only because of certain interviewees (the LU student newspaper journalists and student government personnel, most notably). This slant notwithstanding, this season is important for American Christians to hear in order to understand (1) sexual assault victims and what they need from Christian institutions, and (2) what christian Trumpism has done to Christian public image.

A friend shared this podcast with me, and very thankful she did. My daughter considered LU and there is NO WAY my money will go in that direction. I want so badly to share this podcast with LU grads I know, but in this political climate, I am not sure they’d listen. The stories are well sourced though, and I am disgusted.
