I love this podcast and listen to it daily. It’s giving me so much inspiration to continue to dive into the wonderful world of fungi! I’m trying to personally increase my knowledge on mushrooms and fungi so that I can incorporate it more into my science curriculum at the high school I teach at. My goal would be to have an elective science class that’s just about fungi! Maybe someway I’ll be a guest on your show (ultimate dream)!

This is one of the few mushroom podcasts out there, older than most and of extremely high caliber. These folks are elevating mycology on many levels so give it a try!

I’ve never been able to get into podcasts, I’ve tried for years. This podcast is the first that I’ve been able to put on and be completely enamored and focused on.

There are so many women and femmes and non binary people involved in mycology and so I hope this podcast will make a bigger effort to include their voices/research/experiences moving forward.

Started following Mushroom Revival about 2 years ago and have loved learning all about mushrooms, herbs, and adaptogens. The hosts do a stellar job at delivering diverse topics. Two of my favorite episodes were with members from Four Sigmatic. Danielle and Tero have a special way of educating. I loved the recent session about adaptogens. I drink Four Sigmatic mushroom coffee for performance and while I was training for my first half marathon I incorporated the adaptogen turmeric into my routine. I truly believe it helped with recovery. I’ll now have to pair it with black pepper!

Just listened to the adaptogens episode with the Four Sigmatic team. I’ve been taking Ashgawanda for the last month or so to positive effect. I’ve been taking it in the evening with magnesium and I’ve been sleeping very well after having been waking up in the middle of the night with hot flashes. I’m definitely excited to try more adagens after listening to this episode. thanks for all the great info.

Thank you both! One thing I hear, or should I say-I DONT hear, is weighed dose info. Microdose, macrodose, heavy dose…etc. Lets get specific and talk GRAMS. I would love to see more info on psilocybin level testing. I suppose there is lack thereof due to laws. But maybe John Hopkins has some GCMS standards and can start pumping that out. % levels from strain to strain is very beneficial and much needed info! I normally like 1.5-3g for my big doses. I recently took 1.0g of Blue Magnolia and was blown away at the potency. Absolutely wonderful experience to boot. Again, thanks for the podcast. Its great!!!!!

Hi I’m a huge fan of your show and listen every week! On the latest episode on Microdosing, you mentioned a diabetic woman who saw a decrease in her need for insulin while microdosing. I’m also a type 1 diabetic and have also noticed this phenomenon. I just assumed it was because I ate less on MD days, but now knowing others have noticed this too, I would love to hear more research on the subject!

You guys have no idea how much you make a kid like me happy. Ever since I started to acknowledge, study, and forage mushrooms in 2020, It gave me a reason to stay hopeful during the covid years. Fungi to me are just so underrepresented and often demonized for no reason. When I discovered your guy’s podcast, I realized I know a lot less about the myco world than I thought! You guys teach me new things every podcast and it just gets me all happy and giddy. I like to funguisplain to everyone new facts I learn from you guys. I came for genuine mushroom information, but on my second episode I found out Xenophobia and racism.Just because I prefer my mushrooms to come from a local source does it mean I’m racist. Lost a listener from the start.

I have been listening to Mushroom Revival for months now and I have learned about the existence of so many important fields and issues, without a moment of boredom. I’ve never been able to thrive in hard science spaces, but the level and style of education this podcast offers is so tasty for my brain. It’s not fluff; they really explore the biology and chemistry of fungi in proper terms. I’ve been listening to these two since close to the beginning. They have solid guests who have a ton of myco-info from cultivation, foraging and health benefits. I’ve jammed their tinctures and am excited for the new capsules and powders. You can really tell both Alex and Lira are extremely passionate about Fungi and spreading the knowledge and love they’ve acquired though endless hours of study and work. I am relatively new to mycology and I find this podcast very entertaining and informative. One thing I would be interested to hear more about is the field of medical mycology. Overall, really good!

Good info but sometimes gets a bit out there. And please, please, please find something else to say besides “wow” when you are interviewing an expert and they say something profound. It’s gotten to the point where the interviewee stops talking and I automatically say out loud “wow” because I know that will be the interviewer’s response.

This is a great podcast to get orientated in the world of fungi. Don’t let one source solidify your mindset! There are many sides to mushrooms and MR podcast does a very good job at giving a voice to many of them. Mush Love!

Super informative and well thought out

Not many mushroom podcasts out there, love all the info and the guests. Cons: Heard a few podcasts where someone’s phone is getting text messages loudly, and hopefully they’ll get upgraded microphones for better sound quality in 2020. BUT great content nonetheless
