Came here from morbid and scream! I love Caleb and all the hosts! James has the best authentic laugh! Tough guys voice is so soothing! I’m picky about the podcast voices I choose to listen to everyday while I work and horror soup is great, I was listening to scream horror soup takeovers and thought “hey I can listen to these guys all the time!” Also the fact that Caleb loves Thankskilling as much as me makes him and the show 5/5 stars hands down. Also, just for data or whatever im someone who does listen to episodes before watching movies because I live alone and get scared to watch too scary of movies lol. I like to know what to expect! The intro and outro song is quite long which is my only complaint but I find myself singing It mid day…. God dammit. Love this podcast. LISTEN!

Great show , great personalities , it’s certainly a fun listen . The movie knowledge and breakdown is pretty good too . One thing I’m not sure of is if I want to punch Caleb in the face or be his friend, or both . Anyways, keep on keepin’ on friends and do a Stephen king movie like The Storm of the Century , thx.

This podcast makes me so happy. Like seriously. So so happy. It makes me laugh. When I’m sad, it’s one of the only things that bring me out of it. I have a lot of podcasts that I like but Horror Soup might actually be my #1

This is my favorite horror movie podcast. Actually is inspiring me to make a podcast. If you’re not into a bit of rambling and off topic convo, this isn’t for you. But I thoroughly enjoy it. Caleb is an amazing host, and his guests are the bees knees (item nine, iykyk). It covers a wide range of horror, from modern, to classics, to the very odd b-movies. If you’re a true horror fan, this is for you.

Turn up your mic bro. I’ve got James screaming in one ear and you whispering sweet softlies in my other lol

Caleb is a great host. It’s pretty entertaining. However, for those of us who are serious about our horror, this podcast can be very frustrating. They don’t get the actor names right, years, roles, etc; Caleb also admits to falling asleep while watching. And then doing a review?? If they tighten up the movie knowledge and stay more on track this will be a 5 star pod for me.

Thanks for reading my last review and not being dicks about it. I’m glad you guys fixed the chewing problem. Although, I don’t mind the chewing when Kim is being fed dog food. I promise I have no beef with Kim, she really is just easy to pick on haha. Anyways, love you guys and love the show!

I truly enjoy listening to this podcast. But…I have to say that I wish the hosts would pay more attention to the movies. Several times throughout the episodes I have heard them confuse characters, mistake crucial plot points and rate or review movies harshly based on bias or lack of attention to the plot. The House on Haunted Hill episode is a prime example of my issues with this podcast. Caleb missed several obvious points in the story and confused characters throughout the movie. All in all, it is entertaining but I would like more professionalism and effort put into the reviews.

10/10 Amityville content.

Found horror soup after listening to Scream. It’s a good time and feels like your chilling with movie friends. As a horror junkie I find the reviews fun and like minded. Good times!

The beginning episodes are better, researched more throughly, everyone isn’t talking/shouting over each other or eating directly into the microphone, & better movies were covered. Bri & Caleb are great hosts together, loved the banter, good selection of movies, & the quality of the episodes.

Have you ever been the third wheel in a group of friends? Where they start talking about inside jokes and you have no idea what’s happening? Because that’s kind of what it’s like to listen to this podcast. All over the place in a way that’s hard to keep up with. It’s like a fun group of friends hanging out, but you’re not one of the friends. You’re just there for unknown reasons. If you want a more organized version of Caleb - check out the scream podcast. I won’t give this a bad review because I think there’s potential but it definitely needs some work because it is chaotic lol

Usually I like the banter but episode #179 had me cringing over the use of calling people “retards”. Super disrespectful. And the chick from the Scary Movie 2 recap cannot let anyone get a word in. If I have to listen to her again I’m immediately turning it off. Everything else- 80%

i refuse to take stuff seriously and this show has proven to me that i am right and my cousin is wrong about thankskilling

Great podcast for horror movie lovers!

I discovered this podcast from listening to Morbid and Scream (both also awesome!). Really enjoying the month of Halloween movies from October 2019. Thanks for putting out such great material.

It was bad. All over the place. I couldn’t even finish the episode.

As someone who has very few friends that enjoy horror movies, I’m so happy I found this podcast. I feel like I finally have friends to talk about scary movies with…my life isn’t really as sad as it sounds. I do have real friends too. I’m fine. I’m okay. 😂

Ramen noodles & cheladas👌🏼

The first episode of this podcast I listened to was a collaboration done with Morbid. Totally loved the commentary between all the podcasters and the topic. Jennifers body was a movie that I saw for the first time a few years ago and totally loved it so when I heard that was what they were covering I was super ecstatic. Once I finished the episode I decided to try listening to horror soup because I love those types of movies and shows. This podcast is fan-tab-u-luuuus!

I could deal with zero research and constant factual inaccuracies if the humor was better, unfortunately the hosts think they are a lot funnier than they actually are

I'm a little late to the party but I’m instantly hooked. An easy listen but definitely keeps me super interested. I relate to their humor and I absolutely love it.

Some good episodes. The earlier ones with Bri are the best (and where she returns). Would love to hear some more classic horror movies covered. Can totally do without James from Night shift or whatever. He brings up how much he hates capitalism every chance he gets 🙄 Capitalism literally allows you to have this platform. Move to Cuba if it’s so bad.

If you like horror movies, listen to Horror Soup! I started by just hoping around to episodes of movies I’ve already seen but because of them, I’ve spent the last couple months watching lots of new horror movies just to listen to the episode about it and get their take. Caleb is the main host and he’s hilarious. He definitely doesn’t hold back so it feels like you’re talking with your friends. I don’t always agree with him but it’s always good fun 😂 Caleb is also really knowledgeable about outside details like random stuff about the directors, tying in obscure references, production issues, critic reception, etc. Every movie will be different but it’s cool getting those little pieces of info I was never gonna look up lol. Tips for new listeners, you can definitely hop around, each episode stands alone just fine. I will say the episodes get better as Caleb hammers out the format a little more and they drop the soup rating no one can remember 😂 James from the Nite Shift is my favorite of the co-hosts, with Bri in a close second so those episodes are always favorites.

Easy listening, interesting, smart, funny…what more could you ask for? Overall, just a great time!

I love this podcast. I’m a newer listener, but Caleb reminds me of my younger brother that I would watch every movie with. It allows me to still feel like I’m watching movies with my little brother through Caleb. My brother’s okay, we just live in different cities lol The guest hosts are pretty great too. Kim and James are the literal best. Keep up the amazing work Caleb!

I low key have the biggest lesbian crush on Caleb 😭. Cannot wait until he buys the Amityville house, gets haunted to death, then becomes more powerful than anyone could possibly imagine (but also my ghost boyfriend WOOF).

Enough with using the “F” word as every other word. I listened to one episode and was turned off.

Love this show it’s a great escape. Makes me laugh. Pairs well will alcohol and pot.

Entertainment at its finest every time I listen to a episode I have to watch the movie even if I’ve seen it 100 times it’s just more fun after listening to Caleb and one of his many co-hosts cover a movie! I hope this podcast and Scream! Never end truly love all of you thanks for making me laugh every single day!

I love the host Caleb, his laugh is contagious. This podcast genuinely makes me laugh so hard. I enjoy Kim and pastor James. I appreciate Caleb and Kim’s love (hate?) for all the Amityville movies, thanks for doing this series it’s my favorite! I’m looking forward to listening to you cover Amityville’s for the next 25 years at least.

I kinda enjoy this podcast, but Caleb misses ENTIRE premises/plot lines on the regular. Just listened to the 28 Days Later episode, and the entire premise of the movie needed to be explained to Caleb. No wonder he doesn’t like anything! Also, both hosts barely even mention the fact that Jim saw a plane after escaping the military compound, thus realized the Rage plague is confined only to the UK, not the whole world, meaning that rescue and a relatively normal life are still possible. Kinda a major part of the plot.

This is one of the best horror discussion podcast on here. Caleb’s in depth reaction to things most people would miss or find unimportant makes the listening experience so worth it, and his wide array of guests add so much to the show. True crime Thursdays injects even more terror each week, and the choices in obscure horror movies brings in something some of the other podcasts neglects. Please keep making these for a super long time!!

Although I disagree with some of Caleb’s reviews and we have different movie preferences, I really enjoy the podcast. It’s definitely entertaining.

I literally listen to this show nearly daily, and it never gets old! Caleb, you’re awesome never stop being you! 😊

The bomb. This show is hilarious, anyone who disagrees is wrong. Horror soup is the poop, the best warm goop a-dooooop a-doop doop.

I love listening to this podcast just about everyday, I’m a huge horror fan and I feel connected talking about the fun and brutal aspects of a horror film, Caleb dissects things perfectly but can be judgy (absolutely same tho I’m a Virgo too it’s in us!!). The overall reviews are awesome to hear at the end and I love seeing if they would recommend a movie, this podcast opened my eyes to the depth of a actual horror film. Thank y’all so much for putting out podcasts that are so captivating and fun to listen to, hopefully gonna join the discord soon! Keep being the awesome and real person you are Caleb!

Genuine horror fans who clearly know their stuff. Very affable and friendly (don’t know why so many reviews seem to hate Caleb, I’d love to have a beer and talk horror with him) this pod really helps get me through long work nights. Very enjoyable, keep up the awesome work and look forward to more

And stay for the intro and outro music. I love the takes on some of my favorite movies and i love discovering new movies, some ive never even heard of. Caleb and all the cohosts that come through do a great offering up neat facts and hilarity that can make even the darkest horror movie fun. I highly recommend it!
