Glad it exists but not enough info
I’m glad there’s a podcast like this, dedicated to pcos that doesn’t seem to endorse the pseudo-science that other similar podcasts do. But there also isn’t enough info in these podcasts. I haven’t really heard actual advice given, and it seems like they do that on purpose to tempt you to buy the protocol, which I find really predatory. The lack of ACTUAL details about this protocol online and in their own social media makes me think that it wouldn’t be any different than most of the reasonable advice given elsewhere for free (balance protein and slow-digesting carbs, exercise, and take well studied supplements like inositol).

    Best PCOS Podcast
I’ve listened to all the PCOS podcasts out there, and this one is the best! Evidence based informed that’s presented in easily digestible episodes. I love Clare and how she educates woman with empowerment.

    Pro-Choice Podcast
It was very heartbreaking to me when Clare shared that she thinks the Texas heartbeat bill to ban abortion after 6 weeks is “despicable.” I used to love her podcast but can’t make myself listen to it anymore. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and I no longer want to take advice from someone who thinks killing a baby in the womb is okay. I wish she would have kept this opinion to herself. If she had I would still be a fan of this great podcast.

    Informative
A great resource for all things PCOS. Always impressed by the amount of information and detail layer out in a very understandable and easy-to-follow fashion. Favorite podcast for PCOS.

    Quit listening.
Ever since the episode on “emergency contraception,” you’ve lost me as a listener. State-sanctioned child murder is disgusting and I can’t continue listening anymore.

One of THE best PCOS Resources Out There
I have struggled with man PCOS symptoms for almost two decades, many of which I didn’t even know were connected to my PCOS until I got hooked on Claire’s podcast. It has become my single best resource for all things PCOS. Believe me when I tell you Claire’s podcast is life changing if you have PCOS, and can even be a great resource for other women’s issues if you don’t have PCOS.

    Amazing resource
As a woman with PCOS and a background in biomedical science, I really appreciate Claire’s expertise and communication of the research. It’s clear that she really cares about the women she works with, and is deeply knowledgeable in the subject. This podcast and her blog have been a super important source of information for me on my journey to better health and balanced hormones.

Decent Podcast but light on the details
Started listening to this Podcast about 1 year ago. Does a good job explaining what PCOS is but, I think it is very light on the details re: solutions. Most guests come on and tell their stories, but it's always very light on what specifically they did for their situation. Instead most talk about how great their experience was with Clare's program vs conventional advice, but nothing specifically about what that entailed. If any information is given, it's very generalised/basic information that is already out there. It feels almost like if you want any detailed, concrete information you need to pay for her programme. Just one huge ad in my opinion.

    Episode 3 is a game changer ❤️🙌
Episode three was the FIRST time I’ve ever understood what insulin’s role is in weight gain & loss in my body, and that’s 1000% due to the host’s analogies and clear guidance through the process. THANK YOU. With most doctors not really understanding PCOS’s internal effects outside of fertility, I feel like I’m always trying to explain to them that I’m trying to manage weight and avoid diabetes and no I’m not, not have I ever been, trying to get pregnant so please stop prescribing Metformin and telling me to eat less and exercise more because I. Already. Do. That. I don’t know if the doctor situation will ever change, but I now actually feel empowered to have a more in depth conversation and be a better advocate for myself. Thanks!

    So insightful and relatable!
Claire knows what she is talking about and helps clarify so many unknowns! This podcast is so helpful and I would highly recommend for anyone feeling confused! She is also very relatable because she has experienced PCOS personally!

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was so so helpful! Thank you! I was diagnosed at 18 and I’m almost 23 and still didn’t understand what was going on with my body. It’s very hard to find answers about PCOS and how to treat it so this was sooooo helpful!

    Thank god.
I am so happy that I came across this podcast. I have been struggling to understand what PCOS actually is. Anytime I would go to the doctor and I asked questions it felt like I just was rushed and my questions weren’t actually being answered. Now I have a place where I can come and get some information to help me.

    Thank you!
I was diagnosed with PCOS decades ago as a young teen. Since then I’d basically been told that I might not be able to get pregnant and that I needed to lose weight. In the last few years I’ve become an athlete and have been struggling with seeing results based on the efforts I am putting out. I listened to the “calories in calories out” episode and know that you are describing what I’ve been struggling with. Since I found this podcast a few weeks ago, I’m listening to all of them, even the ones that seem to no longer pertain to me (breastfeeding, fertility) as each one has some nugget of wisdom or information that gives me fodder for thought. Thank you so much! And I especially appreciate hearing about being an athlete and exercise and nutrition. I have absolutely fallen into the “more exercise must be better” and am working to take my first full day off in a long time! Thanks for the info and inspiration. Wendy

    Thank Goodness for this podcast
Hi my name is Mel I was diagnosed with pcos when I was in my early 20’s, prior to this I didn’t have any idea on what was happening to my body. I definitely took a lot of birth control in my teens years, between the ages of 14 and straight through. I honestly believe, I have tried all the birth control options that are available to women. I notice at the age of 15 that’s when I started to gain weight and when my periods began irregularity. My diet was horrific majority horrible. I gained a solid 25-35 years within a two years span. I started puberty early at the age of nine. By the age of 20 years old I was weighing a solid 190lbs and obese. My diet sucked, I wasn’t regulating a period monthly, I turn to a lot of processed food, I noticed the protruding abdomen and darkening of my skin. I went back and forth to the gym, tried various diets and dermatology visits consistently. I was annoyed, highly depress and frustrated. When I did eventually have a period ; oh my goodness, it was massive, messy and embarrassing. All my clothing, I had to wear women’s depends diapers not sanitary napkins because it went through my clothing. I would starve myself because the weight gain was massive. I would binge in the gym work out so much and so hard til I made myself sick. The weight gain would increase continually. I cried and tried so many suicide attempts and ideations because I was overwhelmed. The weight wasn’t going anywhere and I was tired, hungry and angry. I drove myself into a financial crisis, I would buy so many clothes and stare in the mirror just sitting there trying to starve my way into the clothes I just spent my last earnings on. I was dying instead of living. I wasn’t sure what else to do next, was there hope living with this condition? I’m so scarred with this condition, is there another day that’s worth living and does it have a positive purpose? I was very sad and worried about life living with pcos. I wanted to end it because there was no more. No other way to deal with pcos. The more I understood about the pros and cons of birth control pills and the damage it was doing to my body the more I would shift away from it. Intimacy wasn’t so much pleasurable because I was told I will not be able to have children. Pcos left me feeling horrible about myself, it makes me feel less feminine about myself. To me my menstrual cycle means everything to me, it’s the way of my body detoxifying all the waste it’s cleaning out my reproductive system and that’s very important for me. It’s also helps me to keep track of my fertility schedule. I had a laparoscopic surgery done in 2010 I had a dermoid cyst on my left ovary size of a golf ball it was major didn’t have a period prior to this for six months. I was so heavy and my family was frantic with me they thought I was pregnant. I was exhausted constantly and always hungry. After the surgery I did lose some weight but only a small amount. My stomach did go down but what I thought was the end was not. This was the beginning of my diagnosis and medical journey of living with pcos. Years passed on and I tried my best to deal with the symptoms. I tried to practice living my life. I tried changing bad habits and tried replacing them with healthy habits. Not easy! I have also tried visiting other doctors and consider looking into a second opinion. How the heck did I get this condition! Is it because my parents have diabetes and I’m predispose to it because it’s in my family. Maybe look into the genetic factor but then I started the research of what’s this medical condition truly is. Overwhelmed and constantly living in fear I will never become a mother. I’m just a fat goose I’m ugly and not lovable. I asked so much questions til I was blue in the face. So grateful I was able to look into to cosmetic surgery moving forward to 2018 I did a tummy tuck because again I was overwhelmed and disgusted with my body. I couldn’t tolerate it. Two months after I went to my doctor because again my periods were horrible and getting worse and I was feeling horrible. Complicated pregnancy; I developed gestational diabetes and group b streptococcus.. I didn’t even know I was pregnant until 15 weeks. I was two- three months into my pregnancy and sick as a dog. I went into preterm labor, my son was immediately rushed to the nicu 34 weeks gestation premature I had an emergency c-section and didn’t even know my water had broken. I was at a lost for words that my pcos condition almost robbed me of having my baby boy and welcoming him into my family and this world. Still struggling but bless for this podcast thank you so much I’m so happy to hear from other women that have this condition to share insight and counsel others about pcos because I still need some education on the condition . Thank you for everything Blessings from Mel

    Finally... ANSWERS!
My first doctor said “you’re too overweight to get pregnant. Lose some weight and come back in 6 months.” With missing periods she also put me on medroxyprogesterone. My “2nd opinion dr” listened to my worries about having PCOS and got my blood tested and ordered a ultrasound. I was officially diagnosed with PCOS. But she wanted to put me on BC for 6 months and focus on my diet, and exercise 5x/week. I said heck no to the BC, so she prescribed me metformin instead. Ugh! I’ve had enough! This podcast has answered all of my questions and has given me somewhat of my own game plan. I’m ready to tackle this with light weight training, small changes to my diet, including supplements and REST! I’ve even shared the first episode to my family to help teach them what PCOS is and what I’m up against.

Better than a consultation with my DR!!!
OMG! This information is life changing and answers do many of my questions! I’m so happy to have stumbled across your podcast! I have PCOS and I was only diagnosed a few years ago when my husband and I started the process to have a baby! Here it is 3 years later and we are working with OBGYN #3 and Reproductive Endocrinologist #3! Throughout the journey, I have continuously questioned why no one has dug deeper into my PCOS to figure out the root causes of our “sub-fertility”! I’ve been working extremely hard to teach myself about PCOS and you have answered so many of my questions in this 40 minute podcast! I can’t wait to purchase your book and checkout your website and other resources! Thank you so much Claire!!!!!

    Empowering
I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2013 and was directed to lose weight. This was a hard blow for someone in the gym 5 days a week and exercising at home and monitoring what I ate. I always knew something was wrong because I would be working sooo hard and losing very little. I didn’t understand what I was doing to my body. It was such a relief to hear about reconciling with your body and healing it over time. There is no cure, and that is unfortunate, but, at this point, I just want it managed. I feel so empowered. I realize I have consistently been abusing my body with PCOS since I was 15 (nearly 20 years) doing exactly the opposite of what I needed. Looking at how long I did this, I don’t expect overnight results, but moving in the right direction will work for me.

Love it and can’t wait for more!!
I was a participant of the first PCOS protocol with Claire and am sooo excited that she’s started a podcast. Her real life approach to dealing with, managing and getting healthy with PCOS is eye opening and refreshing. She gives you the tools to be your own advocate and empowers you to be fully educated on the whys and hows and what do with that knowledge.
