FrankieBWashKAIJU, COWBOYS & INDIE COMIC CREATORSWith a thunderous stomp we have landed with many others. Exposed at a young age to giant lizards and metallic flying aliens from space. A Showa Era helped to elevate our imagination and gave passion to our pursuit to be a part of LEGACIES. Me & Matthew Blair, now stand at the precipice of a revolution going on in the independent comic book arena. Kaiju stories are being read and accepted by some, even though the characters are Infant IPs. Even with this sign, we dwell in our he shadows of others who stand miles high. It is only when the brave, like Kaiju Conversation shine the spotlight on creators like us. That we truly gain stares from the curious reader willing to risk it all on our comic book. Kaiju Conversation is a staple in the community that continues to be a beacon for those who are driven to illustrate these Strange Beasts.

A-non Kaiju fanKeeps getting betterLet me start by addressing the hosts of the show. First, there's Rex, who also doubles as the editor and just seems like a good guy. He keeps things grounded and always has something meaningful to contribute to the discussion while maintaining a sense of levity. Then there's the other guy, who, let's face it, is kind of, well, eh. But in all seriousness the two of them have a good dynamic. It's basically just listening to two friends talk about a genre (Tokusatsu and kaiju to be specific) that they enjoy, although in the case of Elijah you may never know that he actually enjoys it (he just does so secretly it seems). The podcast as a whole has become much more relaxed than it was in the distant past, which makes for a much more rewarding listening experience, all while still being informative. So if you're new to the podcast, I'd recommend starting with some of the more recent episodes rather than beginning at episode 1. Overall this has developed into a solid podcast that I'd suggest giving a try if you're interested in the subject matter.

Nate "Big Red" MarchandThe best up-and-coming kaiju podcastElijah is a young but knowledgeable fella who’s freakishly dedicated to his show and fandom. I mean, in his latest episode on Godzilla (1954), he recorded while a sleep-deprived zombie. The lad has a quiet charisma about him despite all this, and he spits facts like Gamera does fireballs. If you want to hear the one of the new voices in the kaiju podcasting world, join Elijah as he forges ahead to view and review the entirety of tokusatsu.

Henry the HostListen for the Monsters but…..Don’t trust the changeling. A young and up and coming podcaster, Elijah does a fantastic job of addressing various topics while also making sure to retain a certain grace. If this grace is due to him being a Changeling or not is to be determined but I for one am excited to see where he will go as a creator and beyond.
