Kiki+sandraA lovely showI love this show because is more than just about money issues is about humanity
-
Pups!!You had me until…I’ve been listening to this show since it started and have greatly enjoyed it. And then guest Kimberly Adams said “at the end of the day it’s just a cat” on an episode about saving the lives of our pets. Uugh. What a callous woman.
-
Palomita40Super interesting podcast! This is like therapy one can take action from
-
dr dredrienneAmazing show!Really thoughtful interviews and intimate stories about a topic most don’t talk about!
-
AngstAngieBest show - thought provokingI look forward to every episode. I learn a lot about my own choices when I listen to someone else’s personal story on how they deal with finances. It gives me less anxiety to deal with a tough topic and be less judgy. Thank you!
-
Danitimes420Soothing for financial anxietyI’m someone who has lot to learn about financial literacy and this podcast makes it more approachable, less scary. I can’t wait to follow and learn more!
-
!--cogs--!Avoid the drivel and dog whistlesNice premise. Nice voice. Blatant agenda underlying the writers’ conformist viewpoints. Perfect background listening for some.
-
VickiListensThought provokingI love this podcast for its thought-provoking insights on the intersection of human thoughts and behavior with money.
-
The GoodWifeWell… This IS UncomfortableI really did like this show in the first two seasons. However, after the second episode, of this season, where the host referred to the Oct 7th attacks as perpetrated by “Hamas Fighters” I can’t listen to it anymore without acknowledging the clear bias that the show has taken.
-
Summer StargazerInteresting and relevantThank you for this great show. Keep up the hard work!
-
Emily in NMThe best show!My favorite show from NPR! Reema does an amazing job telling interesting and emotional personal stories while exploring what they say about our larger cultural understanding of money, finances, and relationships
-
Nick1aaaImportant and fascinatingOne of the most interesting podcasts about finances and people. Reema is a great host and the topics are relevant.
-
KiwiHikerInteresting but cannot stand the voiceThe inflection and radio voices are changing. Younger generations sound like they are from the Valley these days. Interesting show but the voice is something I cannot stand. It’s not just this show, it’s most shows where the hosts sound like this.

ElSando88Pathetic. Don’t bother listening. No credibility whatsoever. Slanted, biased, and useless discussions. An episode on that whiny victim-playing litigious whiny Jewish gaslighter Eric Abramowitz? What a joke. Boohoo, he’s still mad at his girlfriend from years ago despite the fact that he suffered no harm in the end despite everything he put her through and how he freeloaded off her. Whine whine whine. What a loser. The fact that you choose to report on this loser without verifying all the facts makes you a loser as well. Shut down your babble and remove your podcast from the public sphere.
-
quedibleOne of the best podcasts out thereReema has a talent for choosing great stories and letting her subjects speak their truth. I look forward to every episode. Thank you, Reema, and all the others who work to make this a compelling and professionally produced podcast.

Maulin RaoBoring and propagandaShow started well but lately became propaganda show for ham a s s

NotABuisnessMajorIt’s pretty goodI know some people may say this is homophobic, but I genuinely don’t care. The category this is under is business which fits however I fell the description should include more of who the show mainly speaks about. More specifically I see business i think the host may be a business major making pod cast as a kind of educational consultant for others. However a lot of these issues are things I have and never will face. Perhaps adding a targeted group to descriptions would be good for owners and the site in general. My problem is not with the host or the content as I see it being useful for certain groups of people and significantly less useful for others.

nat52627obliviousa show about how gay people are bad at managing money
-
cduchanEven more insightfulI appreciated the departure from the normal content over the past few weeks. Talking to someone who is currently under siege about their financial situation and prospects is not something we often get to hear but it’s so important!
-
RklierConversation with Baba -love LOVEI’ve been listening to this show for years and loved this episode. It hit me so hard-I felt I had to write about it. How can anyone ANYONE not recognize that we are all just trying to live our lives, love our families and children? Reema is such an insightful and wonderful interviewer and storyteller.
-
Josh!’New seasonLatest season is a major departure from previous. Not interested.
-
karakuzeLoved the Conversation with BabaSo appreciative listening in on you and your dad, his memories of Gaza, the way you bring humanity to Palestinians. Thank you for doing this episode.
-
*asr*ConfusedThis show has a lot of potential but doesn’t really know what it’s about

JeanLCocoA rigorous researched podcast with a heartThe producers balance in-depth research with candid interviews and inquiry-focused narration to deliver a first-rate podcast. One of my favorites.
-
Houseplant123456WowI’m a longtime listener and fan of this show, but I’m leaving a review today because I’m really impressed by the thoughtfulness and vulnerability displayed by the host in the latest episode. This is important on a whole other level than the usual (great) episodes of this podcast. I applaud everyone in involved in making this episode happen.
-
wildchild14Loved “A conversation with Baba”rigorous yet heartfelt reporting; thank you to Reema and TIU for sharing this story.

Swhitworth0361I’m OutI’ve been a subscriber of This Is Uncomfortable for a few years now. Many of the episodes are quite interesting. However, there is too much homosexuality in the podcast. I’m out…
-
sew_nerdyOutstandingSince discovering the podcast “This Is Uncomfortable,” I have been binging all episodes hungrily. Reema is an outstanding interviewer with excellent empathy and care who ask intriguing questions that delve deeper without intruding. The variety of topics that are addressed includes topics that affect everyone and others that strike me as entirely new.
-
PhuongJeffreyBest of All PodcastsSo good and thought provoking topics. I donated to NPR because of this podcast. Thank you.
-
SamRitchie1My Favorite podcastAside from my daily fix of NPR, this is uncomfortable, is my favorite podcast. Reema does a great job of storytelling rooted in journalism.
-
cannotpostareviewwithoutanameOutstandingReema is a gifted journalist with a wonderful radio voice who has a very bright future. I look forward to more This is Uncomfortable and whatever more she might do in the years to come. She would be a great host of Marketplace someday.

Ppa1145Not goodThis used to be new but now it has become repetitive, same theme again and again. It is almost impossible to keep hearing the same old same old first world problems when so many bad things are going around the world…
-
oooolivsA gem of a podcastThis podcast has helped me navigate my own feelings around money and how it affects my relationships, decisions, etc. so easy to listen to!
-
Greg MGFavorite new podcastLate to the game discovering this, but it’s incredible, nuanced storytelling on often neglected subjects without being preachy... I’m on the emotional edge of my seat every episode while learning about new things. Really, really well done
-

-
kitkatk885Quite good and consistentOnly a few seasons in, but I love the balance of the host and the story.
-
User5858My current favorite podcastEvery story is fascinating- more about personal experience than about money. I loved the dual episode that started with the story about selling one’s eggs to a fertility clinic.
-
LKK70Quality BroadcastLearned about this podcast after it was featured by the Bodies podcast (which is stellar). I’ve listened to 2 episodes now and can’t wait to hear the rest! I found the discussions interesting and it made me think of things I haven’t before. I love finding people who are enlightened that I can learn from, thank you from Michigan!
-
Manuel94All time listenerStories about the tru issues of money in our lives, jobs love and dead
-
suzyintheboxEngrossingIn depth and engrossing. I like how this podcast stays with one story the whole episode. It reveals the role of money in surprising ways. Thought provoking.
-
cwllamaSo good!I got through phases with many podcasts, but This is Uncomfortable is a steady favorite and I never miss an episode. Reema has such a steady presence and I really enjoy listening to her interview her guests. I think money is something we should talk more about and this podcast helps!

acapantherMy name is Allen AndersonCall me and I’ll do a show 9188601154 A Cna for 15 years that was set up lied to and now treated like a prisoner. Owner of two businesses and my partner allowed John foster and Ronnie killough to destroy us

QuicktrickerWonderfulLove the stories!

LazySavrNormalize Money Convos about Financial AbuseI didn’t realize how weird I was about money until I listened to a few of these episodes. Financial abuse in marriage on a high level with the IRS and taxes is more common than you’d think, and it would be enlightening to hear more complex money stories as a series. Post separation financial abuse leaves the partner who is caring for the home and child(ren) at a huge disadvantage that can financially demolish their credit and basic security, sometimes on a level of destitution. It happens all the time to mid-age women, just as their skills are glaringly outdated, at a time when society is simultaneously discarding them. Love the podcast, but that’s my pitch!
-
DestinationChocolateMoney is emotionalReema unravels the ways money binds us and gets to the tender places we don’t often hear. It helps me feel a little less alone and less crazy about my own money situation.
