    A gem!
I am just starting to learn Japanese and this podcast is the perfect podcast to listen to for getting familiar with hearing conversation. I was scared at first because it’s ONLY Japanese, but Teppei is very good at repeating things and if you listen there are many many context clues to guide you into understanding. I learn vocabulary from other podcasts (and Dualingo) but Teppei’s podcast is my source for hearing things in context and being able to confidently engage in a conversation. Thank you so much for making this podcast, Teppei!!!

    I really enjoy it!
Since I discovered this podcast (2 weeks ago) I am looking forward to listen Teppei Sensei podcast every day. I listen to it multiple times a day, I am starting to learn Japanese and this podcast gives me so much inspiration and happiness, I only understand three words for now lol but I usually repeat what Teppei Sensei says and I have fun! Thanks for this awesome opportunity Teppei Sensei!

    Amazing for listening practice
I do not know way too much Japanese but he speaks so clearly and allows me to understand at a good natural pace. I don’t understand everything he says because I do not know enough Japanese yet, but thanks to him I am getting there.

Best podcast for learners, my favorite!
This is one of my favorite podcasts for Japanese. Teppei- Sensei speaks so clearly and uses multiple examples for each grammar point which makes listening practice so much easier. I currently live in Japan and am taking Kumon Japanese but it focuses almost exclusively on reading/writing with the idea that you’ll naturally pick up listening/speaking…which could be true for some people but with Neurodivergent people like myself, well, we tend to need more direct practice to make things stick! Nihongo con Teppei has been a great bridge between what I’m learning in Kumon and practicing listening to actual Japanese. I’ve listened to almost every episode now and my listening skills have already greatly improved, I’m starting to find myself being able to follow smaller conversations around me. Thank you, Teppei- Sensei, for taking the time to create this podcast! Sincerely, Nicky

Slow and steady wins the race
Teppei sensei provides a fantastic and unique approach to learning Japanese. Very much in line with Language Acquisition thought, he provides consistent compelling AND comprehensible input that slowly but surely builds a strong and steady foundation for learning Japanese. If you’re looking for a shortcut to learning Japanese, this is not the podcast for you. But, if you are hoping to start off on the right foot and enjoy the lifelong ride that is learning Japanese please consider giving Teppei sensei a shot!

    Amazing!
I absolutely love this podcast. It’s perfect for those with some foundational knowledge of japanese (beginner stage). He explains things so you are able to understand new vocabulary. He also covers such a broad range of topics. Great for immersion if you are just starting!

    Perfect for Beginner/Upper Beginner
I am so glad I found this podcast. It’s the first time i have felt encouraged by the amount i can understand. The segments are fun, informative, and just the right length for a beginner (like me) really straining to understand. Teppei-sensei speaks clearly and enunciates syllables in a way that I find easier to understand than many native speakers. He also repeats words (sometimes in English as well) that beginners would not be expected to know.

    Great!
These are simple, helpful and brief, but also an interesting range of topics. I’d recommend this podcast if you’re learning Japanese!

    Amazing!
I absolutely love this podcast! I’m only at about an N5 level at the moment, and even at my level I can actually understand a good portion of the episodes, which is nothing short of amazing! Teppei sensei does an excellent job of designing these, and repeats the information a few different ways so you can naturally understand the words you don’t know from context. Listening is by far my weakest point, and this podcast has been invaluable for me!

    Great beginner podcast!
This podcast is geared for beginners and they are short and sweet. It is easy but that is the point, since it can be hard to find content at the beginner level. This is a ton of great content to help with listening comprehension and vocabulary.

    Incredibly Helpful Podcast
I’ve been studying N3 level Japanese for quite a while now but the biggest roadblock I’ve come across all together has been my listening comprehension. Trying to find a good balance of beginner-intermediate friendly content to listen to without feeling too overwhelmed has been exceedingly tough for me so finding this podcast has genuinely helped me feel more confident and capable of understanding spoken Japanese. I am incredibly thankful to Teppei Sensei for all the effort he is putting in to help us stay motivated to where we can eventually succeed! Thank you soo much, Teppei Sensei ٩( 'ω' )و

    大好き!!!
Best podcast ever to listen to! Still don’t understand all the words but I love listening to it as it is short and slowly yet authentically spoken. I hope (!!!) there will be transcriptions for it though because I sometimes have a hard time looking up a word that I want to understand but don’t always grasp from listening! Please provide the vocab おねがいします!!^ - ^

    I love this podcast
Thank you, Teppei Sensei, for this podcast. It is so helpful. I don’t always understand everything but it is such good practice to listen to it, and in bite-size chunks, so my brain doesn’t hurt too much. Please never stop!

Every beginner student needs to subscribe to this!
A must-listen podcast for beginners. Teppei Sensi speaks slowly and clearly and will occasionally tell you the Englsih translation of difficult words. Each episode is just about four minutes or less, so you can listen to one (or three) whenever you have a few free minutes. Incredily valuable for a free podcast. I have learned so much listening to it for less than a month. Sensei, arigato gozaimasu!

    The Best
I am very proud of myself when I can understand 50 % of what he says. This is perfect for beginners. I am sure if I finish the whole course on Duolingo I will understand most of it.

    EXCELLENT podcast!
This podcast is great for improving your listening ability! Teppei sensei speaks very clearly and as you listen to more and more of his episodes, you’ll begin to get a feel for how he speaks. I like how the lessons are short so even if you are really busy, you’ll have the chance to squeeze in at least a little bit of Japanese learning into your day. And you just might find that when you start listening, you don’t want to stop! The topics that he speaks about are interesting and you can learn a little about Japanese culture. Would probably recommend this podcast to upper beginners (if you have a decent amount of vocabulary and basic grammar under your belt). Hope you enjoy this podcast as much as I do!

    Great listening practice
I am brushing up on my Japanese before moving back after 12 years. These episodes provide nice listening practice without taking too much time. My only request is that they were maybe five min longer 🙂 thank you again!
