    Informative but one-sided
The host of this podcast presents an informative yet one-sided discussion of the Camino de Santiago. I’m not exactly sure what his reasons are, but it’s clear that he only focuses on the positives when in reality, there are many negatives. He continually shuts down any mention of negative aspects by his guests. Truly there are many good things about the Camino. But there are many negatives things as well which are not discussed. For example, many pilgrims are rude, selfish, antisocial, mentally ill, and in some cases even dangerous. Recently, a German pilgrim started a fire near Foncebadon which burned large areas of land in that region of the Camino causing massive damages for family farmers and others. The man is currently in prison in Spain. Also, many bartenders, restaurant owners, and shop owners are rude and aggressive toward pilgrims. Where there was once kindness in the past, there is now a certain meanness that has descended on many areas of the Camino. Cliques develop quickly and a tribal mentality has developed throughout the entirety of the Camino. Getting to Santiago is now more about survival both physically and mentally. It’s no longer a fanciful journey of wonder and joy. It’s now a ruthless competition and challenge, every man for himself, if you will. Don’t expect a fairy tale. Expect to fight for your life and your sanity day in and day out.

For every Pilgrim or soon to be Pilgrim
It is such a down to earth caring podcast. Every Pilgrim wants because they are called. The Camino is such a shared experience but it is amazing how differently each person sees the experience and how each person’s walk is just right just for them. I walked the same Caminos others have walked but the steps we take together are really all so different. For the new Pilgrim lots of good tips. There is also lots of different tips and lots ideas about the same things. Hopefully it gives the Pilgrim a little more confidence but hopefully they will also learn you never really know what is right until the Pilgrim walks themselves. Personally I now look forward to walking less traveled Caminos. I hope there are more guests who Some of these Caminos. But it is understandable that people want to hear about the Camino Francés. I have walked Le Puy and Norte. Next stop the Via de la Plata! It is a really nice podcast to listen to on your morning walk.

    Informative and Fun
This podcast is very helpful for me as I prepare for my first camino. It focuses on the practical - tips, customs, etiquette, etc. I feel like I am learning the Camino culture in advance, and thus will be able to maximize my experience from the first day.

    Great podcast
I love this podcast. I have never walked the Camino and don’t have any near term plans to do so but Brad is very passionate about the Camino and it shows. He has great knowledge and extracts a lot of great and valuable information from the guests. I enjoy his sincerity and I recommend this podcast highly.

    Love this podcast!
This has so much information to walk the Camino de Santiago. Far Better than any documentary I’ve seen and the Host is so nice and pleasant to listen to. He and his guest speakers fill you with insight that you just can’t get anywhere else. I listen to this while I’m hiking and preparing for the Camino. I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail and it makes things so much more enjoyable and safe if you are prepared. Thanks so much for this podcast. Very inspiring!💜
