If you are intermediate and you want some non boating passive and interesting way to improve listening and absorb new Portuguese vocabulary this is the way to go. I don’t feel like I’m practicing just rather listening to a story. Leni is a great storyteller

After you get over being thrilled at understanding a new language, what you need to keep coming back is content and tone. Leni’s friendly personality and natural curiosity make him a wonderful explainer of Brazilian culture. I’ve learned a lot but the main thing is I really enjoy it! This is the perfect podcast for intermediate portuguese learners; the host speaks slowly and clearly. He also explains any unfamiliar or hard word. However, the best thing about it is that you get to learn about brazilian history and culture. All the information given is accurate and presented in a very intriguing and light-hearted way. The whole experience feels like you’re in brazil speaking to a native.

I am a long-time student of Portuguese from the US. This is by favorite Brazilian podcast for both improving my Portuguese and for learning about the history and sociology of this complicated and beautiful country. Leni takes a refreshing “progressive” attitude towards topics most Brazilians avoid - slavery, inequality, and colonialisms, among others, but in a friendly, non-polemic way. His humility and love of his country despite the problems comes through clearly. I look forward to each episode.

There is a lack of intermediate level portugês podcasts and this is just amazing. Leni's voice is really clear but not as slow as other beginner's podcast, just perfect for next level portugês. The topics and duration are great too. This is now my favorite podcast. Greetings from Guatemala 🇬🇹

I have been studying brazilian portuguese for 2 years and recently discovered Falagringo. It is by far the most useful and interesting podcast I have found. Leni's intelligent presentation provides authentic insight into different aspects of Brazilian society and culture: language, arts, politics. I have learnt much more than just the language (which was my original intention). It has given me substance regarding my understanding of the fascinating country of Brazil. I highly recommend!!

The host of this podcast is so diligent to research and deliver history, culture, etc of Brazil. He also has a great speaking pace, not too fast, and speaks very clearly. I haven’t checked out his website yet but to be able to access the transcript would be awesome for deeper learning. Thanks!

It is so hard to find podcasts for intermediate learners - especially interesting ones! This podcast is so informative for learners of Brazilian Portuguese and Brazilian culture.

These podcasts allow me to train my ear in Portuguese while learning the peculiarities of Brazilian culture, history and expression. The knowledge of the host is quite remarkable. Sound quality is consistently amazing. The pace of speech is excellent, as is the clarity of pronunciation. Top quality!

Leni’s podcast is not only informative but also a lot of fun to listen to. He touches a variety of topics that you would usually not learn in a language class or podcasts. I would highly recommend subscribing to his PDFs as this will improve your learning tremendously. Besides that we all should support qualitative initiatives like this podcast, it is very little money for a lot of value.

Hoy acabo de descubrir este podcast y ya escuché tres episodios. Los temas son bastante interesantes, ya que Leni habla sobre asuntos de la cultura brasileña desde su perspectiva. Su forma de hablar es súper clara y es fácil entenderle con las traducciones. Realmente vale la pena hacer la inversión para las traducciones si vas enserio con aprender el idioma.

Recently found this podcast in Spotify, Leni does an amazing job of introducing socio-political topics about Brasil and also new and useful vocabulary. His talking speed is perfect to hear every word clearly without feeling unnatural and he explains the meaning of some words along the way. Overall amazing resource to practice!

I found this podcast on Spotify during the first season and have kept listening now through the second season. I love it because the author speaks perfectly for an intermediate level Portuguese speaker! What is really unique and special about this podcast is that it covers many topics about current Brazilian culture beyond the stereotypes. It’s a great way to learn the language as well as get to know the culture! Highly recommended!

This podcast is perfect for learners who want to practice while learning the culture of Brazil. The author, Leni, talks very clearly and in a nice speed, meaning that I don’t get lost or it doesn’t bore me like most podcasts I’ve found. It talks about various cultural topics in Brazil, and on his YouTube channel he shares short videos explaining words and phrases that you don’t normally see on a textbook, so it’s extra helpful.

Training your ears to listen and understand spoken Portuguese is invaluable and this has been a great resource for me. I’m on the 8th episode and have already noticed a vast improvement in my comprehension. The transcripts are very useful, as well. Keep up the great work!

Embora eu ainda não tenha acompanhado outros podcasts para aprender português eu gosto bastante do podcast por varios motivos, por exemplo ele aborda e apresenta questões culturais do Brasil e temas atuais da situação social e politica no país. Isso ajuda bastante porque motiva às pessoas a continuarem seu aprendizagem da lingua portuguesa. Outra coisa que eu gosto bastante é o jeito de falar do Leni: ele fala devagar, claro e seu sotaque dá para entender tudo o que ele fala. Eu recomendo bastante.

Estou estudando português porque eu moro no Brasil há dois anos. Esse podcast tem episódios bem interessantes e também ao nível apropriado para pessoas que já podem falar um pouco de português. Leni fala um pouco—pouquinho—lento, e bem claro (com sotaque nordeste, o que eu acho mais fácil entender), e as histórias são interessantes e actual. Gosto muito e acho que vc vai também gostar! The episodes in this podcast are very interesting and also at an appropriate level for people who can already speak a bit of Portuguese. Leni speaks a bit—not too much—slowly and very clearly (with a northeast accent, which I find easier to understand) and the stories are interesting and current. I really enjoy this podcast and I think you will enjoy it too!

The selection of content is very interesting, while learning the language the podcast also helps get familiarized with cultural and historic aspects about Brazil. I use another podcast from people that are from Rio and it’s really interesting to listen to the how the accent is different from Leni’s. On this podcast he speaks very clearly which helps when paired with the transcripts provided at no additional cost. Always looking forward to the new content. Excellent podcast with interesting short commentaries on Brazilian culture and history. Leni, the show's creator, is from Brazil's Northeast and speaks a nice clear Portuguese. The site even has free transcripts and vocabulary lists.

Right now this is my favorite podcast for learning Portuguese. He speaks at a good pace, whereas other podcasts for “beginners” basically speak at the pace of a native speaker. I hope he puts out a ton of content ASAP! Neste momento, este é o meu podcast favorito para aprender português. Ele fala em um bom ritmo, enquanto outros podcasts para "iniciantes" falam basicamente no ritmo de um falante nativo. Espero que ele publique uma tonelada de conteúdo o mais rápido possível!
