2 decades of trying to enjoy a great film podcast
Do yourself a favor … don’t indulge in the more popular podcast shows to get your film enjoyment. These guys make my week because they know what it’s like to be a working person. Never have I met such a chemistry like them.

Hilarious hosts discussing class movies from the 80’s and on
It’s a great show where three friends talk about some of the best movies from the 80’s and movies/shows that aren’t from the 80’s, but are just good. A fun mix of nerd level discussion and just joking around.

    Everybody dies...or else.
This podcast...this podcast right here...one of my aboslute favorites for a few reasons. 1. The focus. EBD takes a look at sci-fi, fantasy, and pop culture movies/tv, as well as some forgotten gems you would have watched on cinemax as a kid growing up. Aside from the nostalgic feel, these guys talk about the movies like 3 friends would, pouring over little tidbits and nuggets while criticizing it intelligently and humorously. They go into a myriad of genres, providing variety. 2. The honesty. They are not trying to reinforce YOUR opinion. Listen, I was not in wholehearted agreement with them over Robot Jox, but I still enjoyed the episode. Why? Because it was fun to hear someone else talk about that movie besides my one friend that remembers it. And even when they don't like something, not only arethey thoughtful, they are HILARIOUS! 3. The Chemistry of the hosts. You can tell these guys have been friends for a long time. Yes, there are inside jokes, but if you listen enough, you, the audience, are in on them (i.e. prototropes, ejection death, Lambert/BooBerry/Seagal and doughnuts...). And having listened to this podcast rather early on, you can see them sharpening their craft and format rather quickly and continuously. You're into pop movies, cult, sci-fi and such and you have a sense of humor? Give'em a go.

    Everybody Dies...of boredom.
I was really excited about listening for the first time and I even chose one of my favorite movies as a springboard episode, Big Trouble in Little China. I made it thorough about an hour. In that time the hosts talked about the movie (by their own admission at this point in the podcast) around 2 minutes. And what little they did talk about, they just kept repeating (yes, got it, you really, really like the shaded white sunglasses). The rest of the time was just 3 guys BSing about themselves or telling inside jokes or talking over each other. If they would tighten the show up and kept the chatting down to a min this might be a good show.

    Haven of geekery
Great show. Conversations/reviews about films past and present. The three hosts are funny, knowledgeable about subject matter, poignant when they need to be. Good mix of films and shows. They can be scathing at times but also considerate and thoughtful as well, which I like. I listen every week and new ones come out every Thursday morning like clockwork.
