    Behind the music
This is the “special features” that should be part of every CD—the story behind the music and biography of the singer/band. Great companion playlist on Spotify for the music selections, .

A fun and informative podcast for the diggers
If you’re an insatiable digger like myself that is always mining for new and unknown sounds, this podcast serves as a great guide for your journey. They cover a wide swath of territory, so even if your thing is new age, folk, hard rock, disco, jazz, or soul/r&b, you’re sure to discover some new and affordable music to add to your collection. Highly recommended!

    They're just making things up
This project is a total waste. Not worth your time or anyone else's. I was excited to do some deep dives into older albums, but it took 10 minutes of listening to realize that these podcasters don't actually care about facts--they're just riffing with no actual effort into checking that what they are saying is true. Don't believe me? They start with "When U Were Mine" and say it's one of Lauper's record-setting four Top 5 (US) singles from this album. That song wasn't even released as a single anywhere but Canada, where it didn't even come close to the Top 40. They then give Lauper songwriting credit for "Girls Just Want to Have Fun." It's a cover. They do the same with "All Through the Night." Also a cover. And Lauper didn't direct any of her videos until a decade after this album. Why listen to people tell you falsehoods that they could have avoided with literally 10 seconds of research? This is slapdash junk content.

    Personable and informative
I love spending hours digging through the dollar bins, boxes and milk crates under the counters for records I haven’t heard before. I don’t really look to score top-dollar titles, just good music, so I was tickled when I saw the flyer for the podcast in a box of records I had ordered through Discogs. There were a few titles I had been looking for but the rest of the stack was titles or artists I wasn’t familiar with, so kind of like the digital version of digging. And that’s what this podcast is like. You’ve picked up something from a bin—it caught your eye for some reason, or you keep seeing it, so now you want to hear if it’s any good. And now we get to hear about it from some folks with well formed opinions and deep knowledge. The back and forth between the hosts is nice and lively, which is nice because there are a lot of podcasts out there where the heart is in the right place, the knowledge is there, but the tone is dry, scholarly, pedantic. IBTFAD is most definitely not one of those. If you’re reading this, the title probably grabbed you. Put it on the turntable and give it a spin.

    Watch out world!
A new power trio is on the scene. Not unlike Cream or Rush, this podcast will send you on a most excellent ride through the vinyl dust bin collection of the cosmos. They clean them off and freshen them up through considered experience and humor. And they may even make you the best taco ever to hold you until the next stop on the way through these recorded forget me nots. Keep 'em coming.
