Review of “Nurses are from Venus”
Nurses are humans trying to use critical thinking to better the patient’s outcome , not just machines implementing tasks … loved a lot of your episodes except “Nurses are from Venus “. Your voice speaks more than your words … nauseating. If a nurse is listening to this podcast it’s because we care about the patho , the reasons, not just following the order as they appear. Hard not to care about the reasons for doing each thing you do and the outcome when you spend your whole day with a critical kid and their family.

    Bedside Nurse Finds Value
As a bedside PCU/ICU RN, I find these episodes so informative, so relevant and applicable, and a great benefit to the nursing community! I recommend them to my friends to listen to. I find the perspective of both hosts to be so valuable to helping me understand so much of what is not communicated between the “MD” team and the “nursing team”. This podcast honestly pushes me to critically think while making my practice better!

    Love the content
There is no doubt that the proper work is being done to put these episodes together. I absolutely love the turbo episodes, specifically number nine. I had to listen a few times to truly hear the words, but it was worth every second spent.

    Howdy, Howdy!!
Hey guys.. new listener here! I’m a 5 year ICU Murse and current Adult-Geri Acute Care NP student. Just wanted to say I often struggle to listen to Podcasts because I can’t stay engaged. I came across your platform today and the first cast I listened to was #13 about what makes a good/bad ICU nurse. I think you guys brought up a lot of really interesting discussion points that I often talk to my students and colleagues about. If you ever need someone to talk your ear off for a deeper dive on these types of topics, I’m your guy. I look forward to listening to more and learning from your experiences and perspectives as I venture through my NP program. Thanks for being a voice! - Laval K.

Really useful podcasts that doesn’t waste my time
So nice to hear practical discussions of cases. I’ve been looking for a podcast like this and I’m so happy to have found it. I also REALLY appreciate the lack of ego/chest thumping/academic snobbery that usually comes along with critical care content.

    Excellent source of information!
I love this podcast! As an ICU nurse, it’s very enjoyable to listen to doctors as they talk through their reasoning with different patients.

    Good but…
Just curious with the most recent podcast why it was presented as a “54 y/o UNVACCINATED” individual. Why does that matter? Didn’t science & research develop PPE so that we (nurses/docs) can provide care to every, single body regardless if they have a contagion or not and be protected. Vaccination status is not a diagnosis. Another example is someone with HIV does NOT have to disclose that to healthcare providers because we should be using appropriate PPE for every patient. No discrimination. Am I wrong???

    Great for RPG fans
I’m only on episode 3 but am really enjoying this, in the same way I enjoy listening to real play D&D podcasts. All it needs is the guys rolling for perception on assessment and lab values! I also appreciate the look into the intensivists’ thought process, as an RN on an intermediate/step down unit.

Best critical care podcast out there
Hi, I’m a new grad ICU trauma nurse from Austin TX. LOVE listening to this podcast in the car or while cooking to learn as much as possible. First year on the floor is pretty intense so I appreciate this podcast giving me something to study at home!!! Other critical care podcasts just don’t meet the quality of this one. Please don’t stop making content!!

    Excellent Podcast
This podcast is interesting & educational. I love the talk through case study format. As an ICU nurse I have learned several things that I will put into practice. I love that the cases are not super common diagnoses, yet not so rare that we will never see it. Some topics I’d like to learn about would be pancreatitis, endocarditis, critical care in pregnancy, fulminant hepatic failure, or PRES.
