Great show with Scott, and you definitely need to have him back for follow up episodes to cover this issue further! Really good information loaded with facts both historical and scientific. This episode should start a tidal wave of hunter involvement across the country, because that is what we need to stop these emotionally intoxicated urbanites from tearing our hunting heritage out by the roots!

I recently discovered this podcast from a local outdoorsman/guide in my area. So far every episode has been entertaining, inspiring and educational. It is hard to find content that is pertinent to my area (north Idaho) and The Western Huntsman fills that void!

Out of all the podcasts I listen to this one is my favorite. Started hunting about two years ago but found this podcast maybe 6 months ago and I love it. I also listen to several other hunting based podcasts but The Western Huntsman is my absolute favorite! I’m constantly looking back through all the episodes and listening to one’s I haven’t heard yet. I love the show I love how genuine the host is! Keep it up brother! Huntsman is someone with a lot to say but isn’t very open to listening to opposition and criticism. If you don’t agree with his position on topics don’t bother to engage him in conversation on his social media platforms, he doesn’t have room for you in his audience and he’ll let you know it, then delete your comments and block you. He likes to talk about civility but he is anything but willing to engage in it himself. He does not represent the whole hunting community despite what he wants you to believe about him and this pod.

Jim’s insight and commitment to the integrity of our sport is unparalleled. He has a wide array of guests covering different aspects of conservation, woodsmanship, and how to become a better (not necessarily successful) hunter. Thanks for the great content Jim.

Jim does a great job. He has great guest and covers all the topics for hunters and what we all need to do that help preserve what we all have grown to enjoy and love.

Jim is authentic in the fact he admits that he has to learn and in doing so he has some of the best interviews with if you have not listen to all of his podcasts you really need to go back to the beginning and listen to them all. I have picked up something from everyone of the podcast that Jim has produced thanks for all the great information that you have put out.

I’m new to elk hunting with 2019 as my first season hunting out west. I listened to hundreds of hours of elk hunting information and Jim has been one of the easiest and most informative podcasts. He seems to really enjoy talking about elk (well hunting in general) and helping people become more successful by providing good information and helps by providing resources to better yourself. He’s been great listening to, and I highly recommend tuning into his podcasts, at minimum for the school of September series he is putting on. Thanks for the info Jim.
