    SO GOOD!
I love this channel! Our Pokesports podcasters are so funny and have such a good take on all the competitive scenes. I follow competitive VGC, TCG, Unite, and I play a bit of PokeRogue, all of which they talk about on this non-pokemon based channel. Even when they're not talking Pokémon everything they say is still interesting and entertaining. Great podcast!!! Also I loved the Pokemon trivia. The Unknown X was hilarious I loved that, my favorite part.

    Competitive pokemon talk
These guys are fun and they have good chemistry. Unfortunately they barrrrely discuss competitive pokemon. They small talk for like half an hour then play guessing games. It’s boring.

I finally got to do a review lol
Pokesports has pulled me back into competitive Pokémon battling. Mike and Kevin make a great team. Both have great knowledge of the game. I also appreciate the podcast that gets into the numbers and the hidden formulas. Great information to know how the real Pokémon game works. Keep up the great work guys. And keep the Dex it game in every episode. I love it. Oh and I also play with one Pokémon on the field!

imagine pay per view sports commentary but for competitive pokemon
see the title and think "so that's ridiculous" but you're here which means you just searched through the reviews of a pokémon podcast either because you currently listen or you're thinking i could be more amused doing x if i listened to a podcast about pokemon and one that might tell me important percentages about the usage of cutiefly in the recent meta. if you said reading that "no one uses cutie fly" hi, welcome, youll have fun here. just be sure you consider whether if you bring maushold and tandemous, how many do you have on the field? and if it's family of three form? did you like professor rymes class? is it outrageous that npc supporters always bring dog pokemon but never boost with howling? hi, "yea", welcome.sudowoodo : not a tree.

    Shoutout to the boiz!

    Betas
I used to listen to these two fools. However, if you want to listen to two betas justify cheating then this podcast is for you. They try to preface that they “don’t condone it” but their rebuttals show that they do. Imagine justifying cheating in a game that is about catching and TRAINING your Pokémon by saying the barrier to entry would become harder when it’s the easiest it has ever been with mints and items. Absolutely asinine like these two donkeys. I figured out why because they are part of the problem too and that’s what you get with this poor excuse of a “community”. A bunch of cheaters that won’t call each other out because they are doing it too. Hypocrites.

    Excellent Competitive Pokémon Podcast!
I really like Pokémon and Pokémon battles, so this is the podcast for me!

What a pod! Also episode idea
One of my favorite podcasts. I’ve been looking for a Pokémon battle pod for a while, and while I basically understood nothing at first, I seem to be improving! Also, here’s an episode idea: recommendations for info sites. Team builders, damage calculators, and tournament finding sites would all be good! (Of course showdown is good for testing things out so I don’t have to grind for hours in-game to test a terrible amoonguss-fluttermane core.) I’m a teen trying to get into battling, and I’m looking for some good resources. Your pod has been one of them, and I’m hoping y’all know some more!

Exactly what I was looking for
I was looking for a podcast that talks more about the current meta of Pokémon, moves, stats, etc. This podcast is super interesting. Thanks!

    Respect Sylveon Mewtwo.
I’v gone to Mexico to legally change my name and it’s no duh espon. Anyway just way to go sylveon mewtwo for enjoying a form of eevee. Also this the ESPEON. Item: twisted spoon. Terra: psychic. Ability is hidden, Magic Bounce. Move Set: Psybeam, Psychic Fangs, Protect or Last Resort and finally Psychic for the chance of the SD lowering. Peace love your Espeons.

    Less than 3
I’ll start by saying I absolutely love the podcast. Hump day is now my favorite day of the week because of the weekly release. Regarding the Mew episode, I think either Kevin miss-spoke or I’m misunderstanding. Around 43 minutes the debate of STAB and non effective vs coverage move normal damage came up. The non-STAB coverage move should ALWAYS do more damage as long as items/weather/terrain/other factors don’t change between moves. STAB 1.5 * .5 (not effective) = .75 Normal damage = 1.0 If it’s a Terra STAB of 2.0, then the damage is identical to a non STAB normal damage.

    Good, but grating at times
At its best, Pokesports is an entertaining look at Nintendo-approved competitive Pokémon (basically, VGC and Unite). At its worst, it’s a showcase of its hosts’ almost comical ignorance of the Pokémon franchise beyond the world of competitive play (they struggle with even basic facts about the mainline series), or self-important bluster (name-dropping prominent Poketubers, patting themselves on the back for things they “called,” etc.). It’s not a bad podcast, it can just be grating when the hosts forget their strengths and try to be “generic popular Pokémon podcast with opinions” instead.

    Haven’t posted in almost 1 1/2 months
I love this podcast, I found it after they had already posted #100, listened to them all and have been looking to see when they will put out more content but haven’t found anything. they could have put a notice that they are taking a long break and I just missed it. They are Super smart guys, feels like I’m talking with friends (it’s rare to find friends that like Pokémon)
  • Tneriece
    Um, uhhhhhh
Mike starting most his sentences with uhhhh and um along with all the filler words he uses makes this unlistenable for me and I unfortunately have to unsubscribe. This is a good podcast to listen to too but I can’t hear that in my ear every other sentence when mike talks. Luckily Kevin doesn’t stutter through his sentences.

    Got your back
I found this podcast during my search to keep my mind and depression at bay. It helped greatly! It’s two friends that have knowledge on the competitive (VGC mainly) scene of Pokémon. I was never into the competitive scene too much just because it was the same 15 Pokémon on every team. Granted they talk about the same 15 that are used everywhere but then they throw a slight twist from time to time when they say “hey what about this Pokémon” then talk about the viability of the ones that are picked last in this game. When I did do competitive I loved using Pokémon that no one gave a second glance at. With enough time and effort as well as skill any Pokémon can be good. This is how I used Luvdisc in trick room as a good support for my Pokémon when I started getting into doubles. Keep up the great job guys! I am Jon and I play with one Pokémon on the field.

Came for the meta, stayed for the beans
In perhaps their most chilling neigh, Mike and Kevin double-handedly caused the rise of Rillaboom. With these two on the field, there’s no coverage lacking - and there’s always gonna be a slot for Protect
  • Skitt4382
    That’s what she said
As for pokemon VCG knowledge they’ve helped me drastically. But as a fan of “the office” they make me laugh so much because the both of them said so many things that qualify for a “that’s what she said” and I don’t think they notice. It’s great.
  • 14mudkip14
    Really good!
I am able to learn everything I need to on vgc and the current meta using pokesports. Definitely the leading competitive Pokémon podcast.

Not just a podcast, but a community
So I’ve been a patreon for a considerable amount of time, and with every dollar that goes into it I find that it is well spent. These people form the most welcoming community that I have ever been a part of. This community is like a family to me. A great podcast with great quality and great content with the best kind of friends. 11/10 Jonah aka the Junior leeg Champ

    My Favorite Podcast!
I love this podcast! I look forward in hearing the latest Pokémon VGC news and learning more about the competitive aspect of Pokémon. Mike and Kevin are awesome people and care about their viewers by hosting tournaments and battling viewers and trying out suggested teams. The best Pokémon podcast out there and I highly recommend to anyone who is looking to get in to competitive Pokémon.

Great Host, Great Community, Pokesports Podcast
I stumbled upon this podcast and what a great little find. I listed to a couple of episodes and headed straight to their discord. One of the best communities I’ve found for competitive Pokémon. Seriously keep up the great work guys! I’ll catch y’all on ladder!
  • TheRealXG
    Great for learning competitive Pokémon!
For the first time I have started to get into competitive Pokémon and I found this podcast while trying to learn. These guys know what they are talking about and they are entertaining while they do it! I love the two versions and it’s always real fun to hear from people that are a part of competitive Pokémon today. Great listen and I look forward to both episodes every week!

Good Podcast! I would appreciate a regular team building segment. The deep dive was great but it would be cool if you guys dissected teams on a regular basis.
  • StockyBalboa
    Great podcast
I’m glad theres finally a pokemon podcast with a focus on competitive again when the others have become much more general and the competitive is really what I care about great listen.
  • Skitso0313
    Thank you
Very little in the way of podcasts to help a casual fan get into battling. Listening to you guys talk about shifting metas and team building has been valuable to me. Please keep these coming, I want to get into battling, I know it’s gonna take a long time, and these help.
