VgnMtnRunrWoofInjured Runner ApprovedI have been dealing with two back to back big injuries the last 4.5 months (stress fracture and ligament tear) and have been listening to this podcast nonstop from the beginning while in recovery mode. Thanks to Brodie and guests I’ve started taking seriously: strength training, protein intake, rest days, cross training (swimming+cycling)- so hopefully when I return to running I can stay injury free and be a stronger runner than before. Thank you for making all of this information so readily available!!!

Awsome game1The Run Smarter podcastBrodie thank you for providing runners with the stools and education to manage their injuries. I was a frequent injury sufferer but since I started listening to your podcasts and following your recommendations I’ve been injury free for the last three marathon training cycles. I ran two world major marathons weeks apart and ran two personal best. I true testament to your guidance and education. Your podcasts are truly valuable to all runners looking to reduce injury risks. I cannot say enough good things about your and your character. Your credibility and your professionalism is superb. I cannot say enough good things nor thank you enough for your services, education and your time spent educating runners. This podcast is LIFE❤️

Any rand fanOUTSTANDINGTrying to contain my enthusiasm about The Run Smarter Podcast but when you are separated from the hobby that you love because of an injury and find someone like Brodie Sharpe to help you recover for the long term there is much cause for celebration. This is the real deal for anyone who loves to run. Jim, Elon, NC

SandiegojoeyBest podcast for injured athletes!I’m an aged competitor, a “hybrid athlete” as they say, an even amount of running and strength. Unfortunately a chronic running condition (Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy) has hampered my performance for years and ultimately sidelined me. After listening to Brodie’s podcast I felt like he was speaking directly to me! So much so that I hired him after undergoing bilateral PRP injection in both hamstring tendons. I’m confident he’ll get me back to doing what I love, Spartan and Hyrox competitions!

MaekoletGreat information for the injury prone runners out there.I’ve learned so much from listening to the episodes focused on injury recovery and prevention. I was able to get back to running after needing to take several months off because of injury by following what I learned from the podcast.

jm apple reviewsDedicated to teaching and learningBrodie Sharp is a physio(physical therapist) that is determined to learn everything he can to help runners be successful with their running goals while minimizing injuries and to recover from injuries as consistently as possible. He believes the best way to do that is with education. The important thing is that he doesn’t assume he has all the answers, instead he tries to bring a variety of guests. He is genuine in listening to them to make sure they have a chance to communicate their knowledge and is really good at tying up the key takeaways. At the same time, he doesn’t accept things at face value and digs for the scientific evidence to help evaluate the presented information. There is a ton of content in these podcasts, and well worth the time of any runner

wayzLearning so muchIt was when I found myself anxiously awaiting Part 2 of the Patrick McGilvray interview that it clicked with me how much I’ve grown to love this podcast. There has been such a broad range of useful and informative interviews without ever being too dense. Just a great and enjoyable podcast all around.

CoachJHudginsExactly what every new runner needsHaving been a strength athlete and team sport athlete previously, I had done very little endurance running. Now training for triathlon, I’ve been really looking to find a better resource for guiding me through the inherent increased risks of endurance running. THIS is the best resource out there. I’ve tried all them. Lol.

jnow87Every runner should listen up...A fast favorite running podcast. Full of practical and applicable tips spanning a wide range of topics. Not too bogged down by scientific details, but obviously evidence-based. I only wish I had found it before I suffered an injury! In my opinion, a must listen for all types of runners.
-
Yooper84Wealth of KnowledgeI love the content, the focus on clinical evidence and strength training. The premise of the rest-weakness downward spiral is eye opening. Every episode teaches or reinforces information that will improve your running.

ds57684A Breath of Fresh AirI recently discovered Brodie’s podcast and have been consistently listening to the episodes and diving into the archives. He is a well informed physio who interviews qualified individuals. He and his guests consistently provides evidenced based advise on a variety of running related topics. As a fellow physical therapist who specializes in working with runners and running biomechanics, this podcast has been a break of fresh air. There is so much information out there and the hard part is finding the good stuff. This is some good stuff. Thanks Brodie!

CJT322Great advice. Extensive topics! What a great podcast with evidence-backed and real explanations behind running injury, rehab, person and other great running advice! I’m a 42 year mom of 4, and former athlete who is getting back into this sport. When an injury started flaring up fate led me to this podcast and it’s been a breath of fresh air and kept my hope up that I can kick this injury and get back into running!

StevieBoyGreat Evidence-Based Pod for RunnersWhen Covid-19 took away my main source of exercise, my bike commute, I turned to running. I fell for the sport, but one of the early amazements was the frequency of runners getting injured, which unfortunately included me as well. Brodie is a great teacher, effortlessly blending the science surrounding injury prevention and recovery with a clear and enthusiastic delivery. I have learned so much from listening to this podcast. I feel in charge of my recovery because I now know what usually causes running injuries (overload) and what will help me recover. Just as important, I have greater knowledge on preventing or mitigating the next flare up and have a much more pro-active outlook should it occur. Brodie brings on great guests and he’s a really good interviewer. He harps a bit to listeners about listening to the first 10 episodes, but if you’re reluctant to go back, I’d encourage to give a listen. They do provide a solid foundation.
-
PeterParker1234Really good advice for overcoming injuriesBrodie's podcast is a great listen for the many runners who deal with nagging injuries, or even better, want to learn how to prevent injuries altogether! I wholeheartedly agree that running smarter is the best way to improve your running!
-
Sandman357Excellent Podcast for RunnersI’m an ultra runner & listen to many running podcasts. Brodie’s is one of my favorites! He bridges the gap between physio’s & runners. It’s like getting a chance to ask all the questions you wish you had at your last PT appointment. Lots of valuable information that’s interesting & will help you avoid injuries. If you’re injured, he’ll help you not make mistakes recovering & help you get back in action. Brodie & his guests are funny, honest & know their material. Best of all, Brodie’s friendly, responsive & will help you any way that he can. Highly recommend!
-
scott_a17Will never run the same!Check out any one of Brodie’s episodes and this channel will become your favorite podcast! As an experienced physiotherapist, everything Brodie says about biomechanics, injury prevention, and the mind are spot on. Travel LettySuper knowledgeableIt’s hard to find good physical therapists, especially in the USA. So I came across Brodie’s podcast and absolutely loved the information that he provides. I actually loved it so much that I asked him to be featured on mine with little segments here and there. On top of that, it had been dealing with plantar fasciitis and think to Brody’s help I have seen a significant improvement! Thank you Brodie

C9jet9rPT 101Brodie Sharpe is brilliant in bringing clarity to understanding running injuries. He has a great knowlege of how the body works and what it needs to become stronger. His digestible length shows are chock full of useful information. It is obvious that Brodie is passionate about empowering runners with knowlege. Though modest, his wisdom is remarkable. I am grateful for his podcast and recommend it to all runners, injured or not.
