    Lovely, nerdy, granular.
The football pod to which I most look forward through the week. Brilliant nerdy stuff. Even though I don’t buy Adam doing a better help ad, not his fault mind you.

    License to shoot ?
Brilliant podcast as usual lads. As an Amercian, I can forgive Leon Osman for the plum incident because i’ve always heard it as “plum” as well. It fits the peach and stone fruit category of football speak as well. Perhaps plum of a finish will catch on. Also, you all were my introduction to “for my sins” as a figure of speech too. So… thank you for that. As for my contribution to the discussion, surely a player can have license to shoot. Licenses go beyond spatiality such as license to roam or get forward. You can have a license to shoot or commit as action as well. Generally this is the license that can be attributed to strikers/forwards.

How did I now know about this show?
This is podcast is pure un-cut football pedantry and I cannot get enough, for my sins.

    Best quiz format out there.
Every podcast likes to do quiz shows. This show continues to raise the level of competition. Hysterical. Brilliant.

    Great Vibe
Casual soccer fan here, its as much about language and egos as it is about the sport. Has made me pay way far more attention to the language around me in daily life. I hang onto every word but also will relisten to old episodes to help fall asleep, because the general vibe is so good and not dealing with things like the end of the world or politics etc.

    Unique content
This is a refreshing podcast with topics that are tangential and/or parallel to broader stories in the world of football, and it’s quite funny too. Highly recommend it

My favorite podcast. Eagerly await every Thursday for this reason

Might as well call it English Football Cliches
Would it kill you to have a non-UK panelist on? It is a global game after all.
