Blueshirt Underground Radio was founded in June of 2009 and is now in its ninth year of being the ONLY live radio broadcast devoted to the New York Rangers!Hosted by lifelong Ranger fans Eddie "The Mouth" Gieck and Jim Schmiedeberg, Blueshirt Underground Radio is not some boring podcast that just drones on and on.     Too big a delay between recording and airing the show
    I’m listening to a show today, June 21, that was recorded on June 13? At this point don’t bother. Everyone knows what’s going on. Everything they are talking about we already know. They’re two games into the Stanley Cup final. No sense listening since game six is tonight.

    There’s Better out There
    Not great. Listened to the latest episode, took nearly 5:09 of a terrible intro song followed by a highlight of a rangers goal. I like when shows incorporate highlights into the intro but it was at least a full min long. I get through that and the show finally starts and these guys are talking about game 2 of the first round series vs Washington. Keep in mind I’m writing this a day before the start of the ECF. No really interesting takes, a lot of yelling and tough to listen too. I gave it two stars rather than one because I have a NY Sports talk podcast and I’m not trying to kill these guys but I know I always want the truth in a review and that’s what I’m giving. You can’t be a rangers podcast and not have and episode for two weeks during the postseason and expect it to be taken seriously

    Just two guys having there own private conversation
    There are two NY Rangers podcasts out there that actually have real guests who professionally write about the team. This podcast is a couple of fans talking about anything but what is really going on with the Rangers. It’s all peripheral comments about events and people only they know about. How did they get Mark Messier to say, “ the number one Rangers podcast”. ??? Side note: I turned down the volume while writing this. Turned it back up and they are talking about Patrick (who????)…… and there is 1 hour and 1 minute left!!!!!
