    Audio
Good show but Tim’s audios is dreadful and undoubtably drives people away

    Poor Sound Quality
Sound continues to be an issue. This week’s episode was the first podcast I’ve listened to where the callers sounded clearer than the host. Tim needs to record in the studio rather than recording over the phone. Or at least speak more slowly so we can actually understand what he’s saying.

    content is good but….
The content is good but disappointed that the Athletic would put out a podcast with such shoddy audio. Tim os great but I could do less with Ted.

    Get better microphone
Wonder if the podcasters listened to how they sound before uploading the podcast. My suggestion is get better microphone or better phone.

    My favorite Mets podcast
I’ve always tried a to find a Mets podcast I could rely on but couldn’t do it. Ted and Tim solved that. Thanks guys!

    Keep up good work
Love Ted as the new host and Tim is the best Mets beat writer out there. This is one of my two go to Mets podcast.

    Why I like these show
The best quality about this podcast is the fact that as the Mets season inevitably grows darker, dimmer and more distraught, the hosts make good use of humor and marginalia to get listeners across the finish line.

Education Time- this podcast is good
Tim and Ted have a good rapport with Tim representing more of the fan aspect and Tim with more of the objective aspect. It’s always reasoned - never ridiculous hot takes. They also have some fun convos about fandom in general. It’s a good listen, even when the Mets are playing like garbage. And with this team, that’s important.

    Love Tim Britton
Listen, I don’t want to pile on but I didn’t realize how big a Petey Mac fan I was. Please at least revert back to the old intro music.

    Thumbs down!
The Mets and the Athletic deserve a better podcast than this. It’s boring and not at all insightful. Shea Anything kicks it’s butt. How do you have the beat reporter taking a week off at this point in the season? Thumbs down!!! The model for a great sports podcast is the Athletic’s own Birds with Friends (yes, I’m that rare Mets/Eagles fan). We need more humor and irreverence—and better analysis. Pull the plug on this and start over next year!

    A little criticism
Ted & Tim are an excellent duo . Ted - the fan & Tim - the beat writer are like peanut butter & jelly . However , we don’t want to find a bug in the peanut butter - Ted , don’t be whiny . Steve Cohen fired a shot across the bow . These guys haven’t hit in the clutch since stretch run in 2019 . It’s not a rip job . Relax . And yes , I worked on Wall Street , for a guy JUST LIKE COHEN . And I’m old enough to remember Mets games from 1964 ( shame on you guys for not knowing who Al Weis is in Mets lore 😀) . The game is changing and this wasn’t George Steinbrenner planting stories in the Daily News . Without deGrom - Mets are a .500 team . Keep up the great work ! Rick Wey

    Good show, bad art
Enjoying the show. Please change the artwork. It’s very hard to read, has poor color contrast, and reminds me of the hideous black jerseys. Thanks!

    Smart, Satisfying, and Informative
If you find Bar Stool Sports to be light on the sports and heavy on the stool, check out this thoughtful, rational, and informed Mets podcast from Ted Berg and Tim Britton. Britton covers the Mets intelligently for The Atlantic. Berg brings the questions to the beat reporter, and tests his opinions against Britton’s knowledge. The result is an entertaining and informative pod that covers ground not trod by the screamers and whiners who populate lots of sports podcasts. These two intelligent hosts do take diversions, but they’re by and large interesting and enjoyable ones, and the bulk of the program is spent trying to tease out information that doesn’t show up in the daily papers. Well worth a listen.

A standout among all the Mets podcasts
Bringing in Ted to host was a great move- he and Tim pair up perfectly! A must listen for Mets fans.

    Good podcast
Tim and Ted do a good job talking Mets. I can hear Ted’s found them come out. Now I wouldn’t say this is my number one Mets podcast but they do a decent job. I find that they are a little bit dry for my taste, a little more life would be better. But I do understand that everyone has their own personality and these guys seem a little understated, but nonetheless knowledgeable which is what’s important in a baseball podcast.

    If you’re a Mets fan...
If you’re a Mets fan you should be listening to Metrospective by Ted Berg and Tim Healey. Perfect amount of inside baseball talk, first hand anecdotes, historical references and just a bit of palace intrigue.

    Great show
It’s great to have Ted talking about the Mets again. The show strikes a nice balance and the hosts aren’t annoying. 10/10 would review again.

    Too much twitter
They spend a lot of time talking about who tweeted what, and other social media updates. They seem more interested in that than roster construction, prospects, pennant hopes.

    Would be a lot better
If it didn’t sound like Ted was recording his audio on a potato.

    Best Mets podcast
Great analysis and information. Tim is the best on the beat by far and Ted is a smart, fun new host.

    Get an Audio Engineer
Overall, I really like this podcast, primarily because I think Tim Britton provides great coverage of my Metsies and I like to hear his insights on the team. Ted Berg can be a little annoying at times, but I give him a pass because he's generally pretty knowledgeable and I appreciate his passion for the topic. HOWEVER, someone needs to teach Ted a thing or two about speaking into a microphone. It does not require yelling for your listeners to hear you and you need to speak a certain distance from the mic to avoid overmodulating. I usually listen to this podcast using headphones when I'm out walking and the overmodulation of Ted's mic has brought me to the brink of turning off the podcast on multiple occasions. I'm sure some of this has to do with the setting in which the podcast is being recorded during the pandemic, but it is a fixable problem. A good sound or audio enginner should be able to set up Ted's portion of the recording--and give him a little guidance on using the microphone--so that it is far more listenable. If Tim's mic can sound fine, so can Ted's (especially when he learns to speak at a normal conversational volume). I have worked in radio and the audio entertainment industry for 35 years, but I'm not an audiophile. It just stuns me that a professional media organization like The Athletic can put out an audio product that sounds so poor. Fix the audio production on this podcast and my three-star rating will jump to five stars.

Terrific Mets podcast. Funny and really insightful.

    Ted Berg is horrible
Ted thinks he’s smarter than everyone and comes off as pompous. Just a really unfunny dude with no personality

    Good Mets Content
Second best to We Gotta Believe, has a chance to get close if y’all extend the episodes.

Great Podcast, Great Coverage on The Athletic
I have subscribed to the Athletic for 2 years and one of the many highlights of their coverage is the work Tim leads on the Mets. This podcast is light-hearted, but informative, and well-produced. I really only have time for 1 Mets podcast per week, and this is my go-to.
