    This is THE Enneagram Channel!
This is my favorite podcast channel. I’ve listened to every episode one hundred times. I recommend it highly. If you are new to the enneagram, this is the channel to listen to. Bea is an authority on the instincts and has amazing emotional intelligence. The emotional states she touches on here! I have sat with rapt attention, fascinated by every word! She is a wonderful speaker and scholar, a very warm person. Uranio keeps right up there with her, adding to the conversation. He too has contributed much on the fascinating subject of instincts. He has deepened the subject on Beas work I owe a debt to him for teaching me so much about myself. But this channel is not just about instincts. It’s about all things enneagram and if you are new to the enneagram, you need to listen to this channel. I am sure you will enjoy it just as much as I do, You have a real treat in store.

    Type Interviews!!!
I absolutely love you guys and have listened to all the episodes multiple times, with the subtype interviews being my favorites. The Trent Thornley & Dina El-Badry interviews have been especially meaningful for me as a type 6. The thoughtful interview questions and answers really go deep. It is so helpful listening to people of your type and subtype that you can relate to and learn from. I must say that my all time favorite interview is with Abdul-Rahman Abdullah who is a type 9. He is such a stellar individual, both humble and hilarious. Listening to this interview always makes me happy. Who knew that a 62 year old woman from Boise, Idaho would feel such a connection to a 30 something Muslim man from Egypt! I love the diversity! Keep up the good work, your podcast is the best!

    Sound effects
Love the content of every single episode 2.0 has put out… but the sound effects are distracting.

    3 Brained Beings
I LOVE this content! And Bea and Uranio are as always just brilliant with their teachings and observations. But PLEASE lose the distracting sound effects! They really take away from the material. Thanks.

    S2 Ep26
This one was impossible to follow. Sorry - Maybe it’s the language difference, but Paes seemed to wind his way around things without being very clear and it all became very confusing. Would definitely recommend that you not use numbers to describe soul evolution as it gets jumbled in with enneagram numbers.

    🤯
The most recent episode on fixations, I relate so strongly to the fixation of the 9 being indolence. As a 9 I am highly judgmental and moralistic but hide it well. It truly is a mental belief that others should not show off and in general we should reduce the space we take up. This gives me a lot to reflect on.

Love the show & a little feedback
My therapist shared this show with me a while back and I’ve found it to be one of the most informative and insightful podcasts on this topic. I frequently revisit episodes and appreciate their broad study of faiths, cultures, traditions, etc. Bea and Uranio are 2’s and 5’s, respectively. The depth they provide for these two types is really incredible. Other types, notably 6 and 7, at the end of their sequence, are much less in depth and tend to be much shorter. I’m a six and have found on a number of podcasts a ton of useful information at the intro, insightful comments for other numbers, and then a short, underwhelming discussion on my own type. For example, In one episode, the commentary for all types was self directed; for 6’s, it was still focused on other types just making 6’s comfortable. In honesty, I wonder if they oscillate between a more fulfilling growth for sixes and seeing sixes as kind of boring—address fear and security, and that’s just enough. Lastly, as noted in other reviews, some of their sound and editing is terribly distracting. The conversational tone becomes distracting with frequent sounds (“uh huhs, mmm’s, etc.”). In the chance Bea and Uranio read reviews, I hope this is helpful, and despite critical feedback, remain truly grateful and impressed by so much of what you offer and teach. Thank you.

    So much gratitude
I am relatively new to the Enneagram, but it has already been very helpful for me personally and has also helped me bring greater awareness, compassion and practical tools to my marriage. Bea and Uranio’s teaching and work is founded on excellent scholarship and real life practice. They “walk the talk” in their own lives and help many students around the globe. I also appreciate that they are committed to the spiritual transformation that is possible through working with the Enneagram vs not just using it as a way to identify types and remain stuck in personality/ego. Thank you for making this content available so widely. It is truly a gift!

    Bravi!
I love learning from both of Bee and Uranio! I appreciate how seriously they take they work. I think it’s important to keep in mind and in perspective that people are not a type, rather they exhibit behavior that is generally “of a type”. The enneagram types are stereotypes themselves — they are archetypes of ego/personality. The types describe attributes of the human being, not the other way around. My only feedback is that Bee repeats herself a lot and can be very long winded. Usually made her point quite well on the first attempt. I know she’s aware of this but thought it worth mentioning. Also more interviews might be nice — even with CP students!

    Love this podcast!
I really enjoy the insights of both hosts in this podcast. I apply their wisdom in my life daily. My only criticism is that it’s super distracting when Beatrice keeps saying “mmhmm” the whole time Uranio is talking. It’s all I can focus on and I’d rather be listening to the content. Can you maybe turn her microphone down when she’s doing that? Otherwise, keep up the great work!

    Great information, poor audio
These two are some of our greatest enneagram teachers. However the show is difficult because the audio is so poor. It is very quiet and slightly muffled. I have to turn the sound higher even when wearing my AirPods. Perhaps they both could sit closer to their microphones or invest in better equipment. I hope they do because for any enneagram geeks, this is a very good podcast.
  • Fanboy444
Good, but could be even better
They have a great deal of wisdom and experience to pass along, and often deeply insightful comments. It would be much better and more enlightening if they told more stories — or had guests who told stories. Theirs is an all-tell, no-show style. You get lots of analysis and commentary, but few real-life examples. It is hard to sink your teeth into their analysis when it is all abstractly descriptive. Chestnut’s rundown of Dante’s Inferno and its linkage to the Enneagram is wonderful. How about some 21st century, real-life (or even fictional) personifications of the points they are trying to convey? “This is what it looks like when a 5 does this…. Here is a way that a 2 would tackle a situation like that.” Bring your big insights to life, please!

    You become changed
I am an audible seeker of that which renews, reconstructs and reforms. Beatrice and Uranio not only convey a synergy in their communication but apply information personally and with vulnerability. With limited authentic instruction that permeates our lives, to sense and acknowledge accuracy and credibility in what they say is freeing.

    So helpful
I am so grateful this podcast exists. It’s really helped me to understand more fully other types and myself. Thank you! A production note: the background music and sounds are incredibly distracting. I have sound sensitivity and when the music comes on and there is conversation over it, I cannot hear the words you say, only the music. It’s really uncomfortable. I hope you can fade the music faster and eliminate the little sound bites (chimes, clicks, etc).

    True enneagram expertise
I’ve been studying the enneagram for many years, and Beatrice and Uranio really bring out a level of depth, insight, and pragmatism I haven’t seen anywhere else. They are the real deal! Can’t wait to learn more.

    Crackpot science
Carl Jung would turn over in his grave if he had to listen to this humanistic pseudoscience with no shred of biological, psychological or theological science to underpin the theories of the false self craze. Try looking at the MBTI for a more helpful tool to understand yourself and interpersonal relationships.

    Fantastic enneagram podcast from experts
Some podcasts on this topic are more fluffy and less informative. This podcast is FANTASTIC for someone who really wants to use the enneagram for personal growth or for use in their profession. You will learn so much. One of my favorite podcasts to listen to and re listen to.
  • ladybug_buddha
    Very informative
I just recently learned about the enneagram and of all the types of personality test out there that I’ve tried, the enneagram seems to make the most since to me. What I like about it and the way Bea and Uranio explain it, is how it isn’t just about finding out about your personality, but also discovering how the different traits/behaviors that help/hinder you so you can grow and become a more well-rounded person mentally and emotionally. A lot of other personality tests don’t do that, they just say “this is your type, deal/cope with it”.

    World leaders podcast
On the leaders podcast, I agreed with most of your typing. I did however wonder how much political party identification influences American leaders’ types. Sometimes I was wondering if we live in the same country???? May I suggest my brother’s book: BEFORE EVIL by Brandon Gauthier. While reading it, I kind of read Hitler as a 4???? Thank you for your podcast! I enjoy listening.

    Delightful & Educational
I learned about this podcast in October 2021 and have made it my personal mission to listen to all of the current 57 episodes. First of all I love the playful yet respectful banter between Bea & Uranio. I had listened to one of Bea’s books and really appreciated the subtype descriptions. I look forward to all future episodes. And thoroughly enjoy this podcast as my car companion.

    Enneagram at deeper level
This podcast is so fascinating, thought provoking, and helpful for personal enneagram work. After reading Chestnut’s book diving into the subtypes, this podcast is a perfect compliment for those wanting to go deeper into the enneagram than surface generalizations. With some podcasts (on any subject) or teachers you can hit a plateau but in the year I’ve listened to enneagram 2.0 I’m constantly learning more about myself and others in my life through their analysis and perspectives. They really peel back the multiple layers of the enneagram while still being accessible to those just starting the journey.

    Fabulous resource
As a fan of anything CP Enneagram produces, their podcasts live up to my high expectations. Thoughtful. Wise. Vulnerable. Varied. And best of all - they do not shy away from swimming in the deep end of the pool. In a world where the Enneagram sometimes devolves into cocktail party banter, these guys provide listeners the opportunity to explore the depths of this marvelous instrument for exploring and seeking understanding of human development.

    Thank you!
I love this podcast so far. I use the enneagram a lot as a therapist to help my clients reflect more deeply on their patterns and to discover more freedom and choice beyond their personality. As a type six I’ve been profoundly impacted by these teachings and cannot wait for your type six episode. I am a more courageous, open-hearted, embodied, and trusting person because of this work, and your books Beatrice have been ideal resources for me in the process. I would love to support this community in any way I can. Thank you again, Devin Bard

    More please!!!
I love this. Episode 33 on leadership for each type is one I would like to hear over and over, as someone who works with developing people in the workplace. So excellent, sound, and balanced. Appreciate the care you all place in emphasizing the necessity of growth.

    So Grateful for this Podcast!
I have been trying to figure out my enneagram type for many years. Every so often I’d get determined and dig into the system, sometimes even kinda-sorta-maybe settling on a type. But, I never really had that experience others reference of reading a profile and wondering who has been reading my diary. Then I discovered the podcast…. I’ve binged all the episodes in 2-3 weeks and am finally 100% sure of my type! The episode where Bea shared her perspective & experiences as a 2 countertype resonated so deeply with me it was a little eerie. There are rampant stereotypes about 2s that had caused me to write off the type as a possible match early on. So, without this nuanced dive into the type I don’t think I ever would have taken the time to research it. Thank you, Bea & Uranio, so much for your work on this podcast! It’s already made a big difference to me and I’m excited to get started on the new avenues of inner-work now available to me.

    Next Level
The content is amazing! If you can put aside the production the content is just.... really next level enneagram, which is exactly what I was looking for. Love!

    Outstanding
An exceptional source of information and learning about the enneagram. A coach recommend this podcast and I’m so grateful she did! I was typed about 15 years ago and I’ve learned more from these two experts than I have in all the years since. I agree with another reviewer that the communication modeled by the two hosts is wonderful.

    Best Enneagram Content
This is some of the best, most credible and balanced Enneagram content out there. The podcast provides not only deep and very thoughtful learnings but also the warm and relational ways it can be applied in relationship, as demonstrated by the hosts. The banter and intelligent teasing that went on in the ranking segment done at the end of the geographic episode had me laughing, especially as a SP Two. I totally agreed with Beatrice and go completely out of my way to not provoke people, even when I might have a valid reason TO provoke them! 😊. Thank you, both, so much for the great podcast!! 🙏🏽

    Excellent
Top notch and the best enneagram podcast available. The format is great. No excessive chatter or filler. This podcast has depth and is more serious. The hosts have immense knowledge and a wealth of experience. So happy to have found it and grateful to the hosts for sharing this information.

    It’s A Game Changer
Learning about the Enneagram from Beatrice and Uranio has helped me to understand and gain an appreciation for all types of personalities in my personal and work life. Thank you for this podcast and for your online courses. I have learned so much!

    Learning so much!
I love this podcast! You both have taught me so much already and I can’t wait to delve deeper into the Enneagram as well as sign up for your classes. And after all these episodes I actually listen to your podcast song and it is awesome! So brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and helping us become more compassionate to ourselves and others.

    Great content, annoying music.
I love the insights of Beatrice Chestnut and Aranio Paes. Each discussion is thoughtful and thorough as well as sympathetic to each type and their foibles. I have two criticisms. The first is that, as a nine, I feel that nines are given short shrift. But, maybe that’s because I’m a nine. ☺️ My other big complaint is the awful music. It is so annoying! I’m a composer. I can write something better by far, maybe based on a nine note scale!

    Type 7
This podcast is an AMAZING one! I think the Countertype Episode probably moved me the most bc I am a social 7 and the advice out there for Sevens on how to grow was always crushing bc I do that so much already! I personally, need the opposite of the growth advice and it was so freeing to hear that I was crazy! I am conflicted a LOT as a mom of 4 in this area! For me, growing up in a religious family, it’s not that I want to be seen as good, I just don’t want to be BAD! And I want everyone to be happy (including me, but I feel guilty wanting things).. Thank you so much for the great content y’all put out!

    I can’t get enough
This podcast is so quenching to the desire to soak up as much as possible about the Enneagram, self development, conditioning and so much more. The dynamics between the hosts is inspiring- they compliment each other in their communication styles. The topics covered always seem EXACTLY what was needed or on my mind at the time. They are practical, not elitists, knowledgeable leaders both with EXTREMELY VAST knowledge AND experience in psycho-spiritual work. I’m grateful for them and their podcast and send episodes to friends, family, and relisten to them on my own— IT’S THAT GOOD. Highly recommended. And not just for people studying/using the Enneagram - it’s useful to anyone interested in self-knowing/growing/healing/compassion.

    Music and sound effects
The information being shared is great, I love the conversation, speed, content... all that good stuff. But I REALLY struggle with the intro music, the transition music, and random sound effects. It’s obnoxious in my opinion, and not “fun”. The sound effects can be really distracting and I have a hard time listening to what they are trying to say OVER the music or sound effect they’ve brought in. I had a hard time decided between 3 or 4 stars, I wanted to go 4, and if it was just the intro/transition music, I would have. But the sound effects spread through out really go from annoying, to detracting from content and presentation. Remove the sound effects and music, and the content is great, information is super valuable and the presenters are great on their own (worth the 5 stars at that point IMO)

    Worth your time
I have been exploring the enneagram for a couple of years now. I found I was really struggling with finding my type. I took several online tests coming up with different numbers almost every time. I heard Beatrice Chestnut interviewed on another Enneagram podcast and found I resonated with her story. I purchased her book and found my type in the social two. I appreciate the way information is presented - it is in-depth and very helpful. Thank you.

    Please stop the music
Almost every review mentions how awful the music is. I 120% agree. I appreciate the content but the music is unbearable and doesn’t fit

    Ugh
Your “funny” stories are quite shaming. As a self-preservation One, I’ve felt “wrong” or not enough my whole life—until growth and grace has allowed me to be fun and playful and impulsive and free. Re-enforcing our most “primitive” or wound-responses in your stories is funny I guess, but fails to celebrate growth or hope or the entire reason we seek to study the enneagram.
  • Peace1916
    Great Enneagram Content
So much in-depth information! Thank you!! Like many other reviews, I agree that the music is distracting and doesn’t fit. Even on the most recent broadcasts. Especially under the “Top 5” discussion. I usually just turn it off at that point. Thank you for toning it down from the first podcasts that you broadcast, but could really do without music at all.

    Love this podcast
I LOVE the content. I am learning so much. I find the music and sound effects a little distracting 😬 maybe they just don’t seem to fit. I love how in depth each episode is and the knowledge of the hosts.

    The music is awful
I could only get through one episode. The music is awful and distracting.

    Love the content
I love the content, but the music and sound effects are too loud. I just found it, so it might have already been corrected in future episodes. Love the content and the hosts!

Love the content but NOT the music and add ins!
The content is well organized and thorough but the music and add in’s just don’t fit! Very distracting and confusing! I wish this would be removed

    Just What I Was Seeking!
This podcast provides all the information and insight that I was looking for. I am just beginning my study of the Enneagram and am so grateful that Bea and Uranio offered up this gift to us all...Thank you! P.S. At first I thought the music didn’t quite fit but now I’m dancing and singing along!😊

The enneagram podcast I’ve been waiting for!!!
Beatrice Chestnut has long been my favorite enneagram teacher, and her book my best entry point. This podcast does exactly what I’ve been searching for: it goes deeper than just explaining the typology. I am so interested in the symbol itself and how to use it as a tool for growth rather than an excuse for behaviors! Thanks for this valuable reference, Bea and Uranio!
  • SocraticFan
    Music?!!!
I actually love the podcast but think the music is like fingernails on a chalkboard. I usually swear and then rush to turn it off.
