The stories here are always ones I’ve never heard before, and they actually keep my attention. And the narrator is incredible. Great sound design. The ads can be jarring, but there’s not many. Just be ready to jam that volume way down if you’re using air pods. Also check out the SCP Experience. It’s SO good

There is so much to love about Dr. No Sleep. My favorite are the details. It’s never just a gun in his stories for example, it’s a FN Herstal Scar-L chambered for 7.62 armor piercing rounds or a two tone Sig Sauer 9mm fired from a low wake boat! The devi is in the details. Keep up the excellent and consistent work. Oh. And the stories are great too!

It’s well done, but why does every episode seem to start in the middle of the story? I guess maybe eventually it does get to the beginning of the story, like every bad horror movie, but I don’t usually care enough to keep listening. I also guess l am the only one who finds this off putting. Oh, well. There are lots of good horror podcasts out there that don’t use this annoying affectation.

This used to be one of my favorite podcasts but lately all of the stories seem to be horror/action. It would be fine if it were every once in a while but it’s every single story now. It’s like I’m listening to a bunch of scrapped action stories. Maybe sprinkle in some fun spooky stories about ghosts or zombies. The alien stories we’ve been getting lately are also kind of tired.

I love the show. Very cool stories. My only gripe is that almost every episode cuts off early and you don’t know the very end. It’s not intentional as it usually cuts out when he is still speaking. It pisses me off. Maybe cut one of your ads a second or two so we can get the whole ending!

From the storyline to the narration, Dr. No Sleep makes it easy to get lost in the crazy stories he tells and leaves you wanting more... and more, and even one more before calling it a night. Easily, this could be at the top of your podcast list. There's so much variety🥰🥹😂! Thank you, Doctor, for all your hard work in making your podcast💯

The stories are greatly written, the background sound effects are very dark and gloomy, and the narration is on point. Don’t sleep on Dr NoSleep!!

What can I say. Simply. I’m addicted. I listen to Dr NoSleep ALLL the time. I’m listening to the entire collection again and again. And I find new things I’ve missed before in the stories that just make it all the more … enjoyable to listen to. The storytelling is the absolute is AWESOME. I can truly feel each character in the story. Thank you. Ps ..unknowingly, listening to this podcast has helped with my anxiety too .. lol .. thank you

This is a pretty decent podcast except for a few things. First, the narrator never introduces a story. This isn’t a problem so much until you get to episodes with multiples stories. They all bleed together because there’s nothing to separate them. At least take a breathe and tell us the title and author, please. Second, one narrator is not enough. Please find some women to play feminine parts. You are NOT convincing, my dude. Besides that, I quite like it. I listened to six episodes or so before coming across a story that was just too cringe-worthy to finish. “Something twisted crawled out from the edge of the universe…(takes a breath)…and it’s coming this way” or something like that. Over an hour long. I was excited! Sounds great! Until I realized it was written by a child - or a very immature adult. They say, “What’s the phrase…?” about six times in one 10-minute stretch. And not for phrases that warrant that kind of question, either. “What’s the phrase? Serial-killer, that’s it.” “What’s the phrase? Existential crisis, that’s it.” “What’s the phrase? Pathogen. That’s it.” “What’s the phrase? Too much of a good thing. That’s it.” Like, are you seriously EXPLAINING these terms and words to your audience right now? Like we wouldn’t have ever heard “serial-killer” before now? Or “too much of a good thing”? And dear God! The subject matter was atrocious! Straight out of a Halo: Adventures with Master Chief paperback, I swear. I wrote a “book” in 3rd grade titled, “Triassic Park.” No joke. I was a child. And IT WAS BETTER than this stupid lizard space alien, Men In Black, video game adaptation schlock. I normally wouldn’t bother complaining except this podcast is obviously better than this. They set their own standards, which proved to be high, and then delivered this sub-par, hour-long space fantasy taken straight from a Mad Libs page at a rest stop gas station. If this was some kind of 1st grade writing competition prize winner, then I sincerely apologize. If that’s the case then I URGE you, please include some kind of introduction so your listeners are prepared for what’s about to come. But if this was a genuine entry, a serious attempt at writing by a grown adult, then HOW did it get past your quality control? Did you even read this story before starting to narrate? I’m not going to give up on the show (mostly because I’ve caught up with my main horror channel: The No Sleep Podcast), but this one story has put such a sour taste in my brain that I’m going to have to take a break for awhile. It’s not me. It’s you. I’ll come back when I’m ready.

These get me through may night shifts. Definitely is my go to.

Scary as F stories and good voice(favorite episode is “backwards”)

The stories are pretty good. But if you’re the kind of person who absolutely hates the sound of people who make loud swallowing sounds then don’t listen to this pod. I don’t know why they insist on continuing to use that annoying sound effect. They also use the same crying sound effect over and over. For crying out loud stop with the annoying and repetitive sound effects. If you must use sound effects for such mundane actions like swallowing at least find some new ones and change them up. If you got rid of these cringe worthy effects the podcast is probably 5 stars.

I love how he does not talk so much and get straight to the stories unlike other horror story podcasts.The ads are even quick! He has the perfect voice for the stories and it never gets boring. Some podcasts sound like they are reading from a script but this one flows very nicely and gets you hooked from the start!

I can’t get enough the stories are so vivid you can picture exactly what’s goin on!!! These are the best stories and the best podcast I e come across!! Keep them coming!!!

I listen to all sorts of podcasts. Particularly around horror and true crime. As I listened to the first episode I thought this guy has some weird voices but after 30 episodes, I thought this guy is awesome! I love this podcast it is unique and the stories are interesting

Why so much cursing, it is literally in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE it is infuriating

I listen to 20 different podcasts from numerous genres. Whenever i see a new one i get weak in the knees, get the vapors & reach such a happiness i am spent.

I actually love the sound effects and think they’re fun! Stories are scary and narration is great.

I love this because this is the scariest👻 podcast ever and me and my dad have been listening to it since I was 5 years old ( I am nine turning 10)

This content creator has a bad habit of overemphasizing every sound effect when, really, the narration should be strong enough to carry the image through. Too many sound effects make the entire thing sound as if this person is experimenting all the time but not refining his skill or his creations. Also, there is only one, male voice narrating. That shouldn't necessarily be a problem except that the narrator over-feminizes the voice of every female character in each story, making them sound airier than women truly sound. Often, in narration, you don't have to change your voice dramatically to parlay a character, including someone of a different sex or gender expression as yourself. We can still hear the female character even if you don't make her voice sound artificially high. The problem here is that the narrator's voice isn't strong enough, nor is he trained enough, to effect an artificially feminine voice, so his female or feminine characters sound artificial and can take the listener out of the story entirely.

The entirety of the second episode is getting decapitated.

I was just listening to this podcast and, grimace that purple guy broke into my house and stole all my skibidi Ohio rizz sigma grimace shake 1 2 buckle my shoe! I got so mad I said “shimmy shimmy ay shimmy ay shimmy ahhh” and grimace hears the podcast right? So he explodes and dies and I beat him up with a car.

I love this podcast. Not every episode scares me. But every dish at a buffet won’t perfectly suit my pallet. That being said, this show is absolutely a buffet of horror. Soothing voice! And yet! I’m scared awake on my nightly drive home. Highly recommend.

I really love the stories, the only thing I would change are specifically the kissing/squelching/etc. background noises (but mostly the kissing). I don’t know what it is about them, but they seriously trip me up every time they appear in an episode. I still listen because of the quality of the stories, and it’d be an easy 5 stars if the bodily background noises weren’t there.
