Smart, tough, and going away for good…
I am very sorry to hear this podcast is going away. Although I only recently discovered this series, I am far better educated on the state of EVs in the US and the world as a result. I especially valued the final incarnation of the panel, with the Brits adding an important international and global perspective. The Americans acquitted themselves well also. Something I had not appreciated was how a show like this would be caught up in the culture wars, assuming that if you're interested in EVs you would know why we need to stop burning fossil fuels. But I was forgetting who owns Tesla and his evidently cultish followers. So I was very surprised when Lacee, who clearly is smart, said climate played no role in her views on EVs. This is indefensible, but since even here in capitalist America the ultimate goal is to get everybody on board with respect to EVs I suppose making a case from a purely selfish perspective may be what sells. Even so, her intellectual position is awkward. The other American Patrick George's ideological stance was somewhat less contorted, but he also showed some trimming of his ideological sails. I bring this up to urge that if and when this show makes its reappearance, please show the same courage and intelligence demonstrated in assembling this panel. Alas, I strongly suspect that the fact this panel is going away clearly indicates I'm not going to like its next incarnation one bit...

    America hating Socialists
So, I just can’t take it anymore. Every single week it’s the same thing. Bashing Tesla, snide remarks about capitalism or America and wanting the government to fund EV’s so everyone can drive them. I know I am just one person who will not be listening anymore, but I would suggest you look at your podcast rating. Do you know how hard it is to have a 4.0? I went through the myriad of podcast I listen to and no one was below a 4.5. Maybe take that into consideration as to why your audience is not growing. It’s a shame because I have an EV and I want to hear about EV news. I guess I’ll just find someone else to get that news from though.

    Unfortunate decline
The new hosts are routinely unprepared for the topics they are discussing, have not researched beyond reading the single article being discussed, and have no meaningful insights to add. Its just not informative or fun anymore.
  • the last time i listened
    Insufferable
Generally I like to people whom I disagree with and learn what they know that I do not. Hazel Southwel is obnoxiously negative and she simply does know the latest info on anything. I dutifully listened for 3 months to give it a chance. I have done it long enough. There are many shows out there where people can have various opinions without being a nasty person. When the old guys left you can expect the show to go south a bit. But I was not prepared for it to go Southwel. She makes the show acidic.

    This is now awful!
Like others that have reviewed this podcast I used to enjoy listening to Dom, Tom, Martin and Kyle and now that they have left and created Batteries Included this cast has become super hard to listen to. With the exception of Miss Go Electric the host are super hard to listen to as they done offer good content. I get a arrogant and I above it all vibe from these host, especially from Hazel Southwell to whom uses the word like way too much, stop trying to make it sound like you are saying a lot by filling up your incoherent nonsense sentence with like. It’s like super hard to like listen to people that like say like too much and it’s like super like aggravating. That is what a transcript of one of your sentences looks like. I will check back in six months to see if it has improved. Oh last complaint and the straw that broke the camels back, I was listening one day and one of the host said agro which in my opinion show a lack of showmanship. If you are too lazy to use a complete word like aggravating or find a shorter substitute than are you too lazy to do good research for your podcast. Also Miss Go Electric owns a Rivian R1T what about the rest of you, what do you drive and what have you driven? Thank you.

Mostly political far left material and American bashing.
Used to love this show but then a female British lady joined the show and ruined it. Mostly keeps the topics of conversation about American bashing and how most of these cars do not fit into her personal leftist agenda. I’m out.

Old Episodes 5 stars, new 1-2
Should also pick a new time slot, I would be more apt to keep listening and hope it improves.

    Tough Transition
The old team is gone and started a new podcast, Batteries Included. Nothing against this new squad, but it just wasn’t the same to listen to. I wish Inside EVs the best of luck.

    Quality has gone down
Can’t even bother to research simple things like PPF vs Vinyl wraps and their related costs when an OEM offers a competitive solution. Ever since Dom, Kyle, and Tom left, new hosts besides Miss Go Electric are rubbish.

    Cold weather battery life
You totally missed what report was about It is lifetime battery degradation cold vs hot not battery range which is less when extreme cold or hot

Used to be a fan, not anymore - less polished and professional
At the beginning of August ’23 they changed all the regular participants of this podcast and now it is distinctly less professional and more random. Not worth my time anymore.

    Stop saying ‘like’!!!
Now I appreciate that the presenters aren’t professional broadcasters, but at the same time they must listen to recordings of themselves. Why on earth do they have to say ‘like’ three times in every sentence? (Now you’ve read this, listening to them will drive you as mad as it does me…)

    Look for “Batteries Included” Podcast
All of the original members left last week and now this is awful. Dominick, Kyle, Tom, and Martin have started the Batteries Included podcast which is the new version of this and why this had good reviews until now. The new hosts are unentertaining, uneducated and this is now uninformative and terrible. Unsubscribed, following the guys to Batteries Included.

Great content needs to be organized
Love the info but please cut down on rambling.

    Best EV podcast!
I love Inside EVs!! I am an EV enthusiast and cannot wait to see what they will talk about next! I also watch Out of Spec and it is cool that the host is on Inside EVs! Highly Recommended. Perfect for EV enthusiasts and 1st time EV owners alike!

    Needs a producer
Very knowledgeable group super committed to the cause but his podcast should be half the length. Podcast desperately needs a few elements - a producer to build a rundown and keep the group concise and on track and a host that is better suited to introduce segments and keep the show moving.

    Can be very “preachy”
If you are an EV zellot you will like this podcast.

    They’re not uninformed, they’re dumb
These are the kind of guys with lots of experience that has only made them smug when it could have made them smart. They see what they expect, exhibit almost no useful curiosity, and default to bullying their audience and each other.

    1% people
Please talk about cars the 99.9% of us can afford. Other than that I love it 😄

    Like the change
We enjoyed the format change last week. Great show

    Disappointing comment about bees!
This Podcast is great and all writers/participants are very knowledgeable. Lots of excellent information. I listen to it every week. However, one of you guys made a very disappointing and ignorant comment about bees. We all know how hard these little guys work and how much we humans benefit from it. Please reconsider and I’ll gladly give it 5 star rating.

Good content, painful to listen to
Good intentions, knowledgeable folks, personalities are fine, but one must recognize when they are not “talent”. I try and try and find the host SO painful to listen to, stuttering, chopping his words constantly, meekness, hesitance, uggh
  • Blueoxbox
Great info. Not real truck guys though.
I like the information shared and will keep listening. I wished that they had a real truck guy to explain the new truck EVs coming to market. For someone who’s owned and drive large trucks my entire life it’s hard to hear some of the reviews and comments. Would like it to move along a little faster and be a bit more organized. I wish information moved along faster. It’s painful at times to listen to them fumble around of what to say. More organization in the topics and info shared between them all would be nice.

Usually great, June 3rd not the best example….
Typically this podcast is great, I love Martin, Tom and Kyle, and Dom is great if he can be the host… but if everyone is gone, plan to bring in guests or something. The June 3rd show was a tough listen, it put Martin in a terrible position to have to carry the show, then they brought in a couple of people from the comments section to try to help.

    A Must Listen to Podcast
Easily one of the most informative and well-rounded EV Podcasts out there. The interplay between the hosts are great, and I look forward to each new episode.

Solid EV podcast - Dom needs a different role
Absolutely love this podcast and mostly look forward to each week’s episode and bonus shows. But my god sometimes Dom is impossible to listen to. Kyle and Tom are always on their A-game but Dom never feels prepared or well informed. It’s so painful to hear, much like other reviews have documented, but Kyle and Tom more than make up for it and often have to course correct.

    Great resource
Great podcast with lots of up to date info and news on the EV industry. Every episode I listen to I find myself learning something new or understanding something a little better. I appreciate these guys aren't brand fanboys but present their own thoughts based on facts and their expertise.

Great podcast. Crisp presentation and full of great information
One of my favorite podcast. Lots of information with none of the contrived personality interjections so many podcasts fall prey to.
  • OlneyMd
    Awesome!
Thanks for the great content! Never miss an episode!!!
  • christooma
    Give Kyle an episode!
Let Kyle run an episode and you could shave 20+min off each episode. Get to the point, be concise, and move on to the next topic. Good coverage of the EV market overall!

    Love this
This podcast keeps my mind off the bad things and helped my away from suicidal attempts Thank you very much for these podcasts to keep me happy. You really helped a lot.
  • HeGillis
    Host needs coaching
Love the topics, but the host needs some coaching from other Podcasters or to let someone else take over the role. He struggles to convey what he’s trying to say, constantly trails off or pauses mid sentence, and lets topics (and therefore the show) drag on for way too long.

    Great content and EV overview
I’m trying to learn all I can right now about the EV world and this podcast gives a wide overview of EV and all the pros and cons. I think it is a good mix of technical and business and I like the varying personalities and perspectives.
  • SkanDad1
    Good but...
Informative, hands-on advice and knowledge. I feel like I can take this info and use it for buying and operation of my EV. Some observations about presentation: Martin doesn’t get the chance to speak enough. Domenick is difficult to understand particularly with his halting-burst of words delivery. Makes the podcast VERY difficult to listen to. Seems knowledgeable but definitely needs refinement or replacement w someone who has a smoother style—particularly as a moderator. Maybe have Martin and Domenick switch roles?
