I’m new to the bird dog world. This podcast has been great on educating me on topics like training, nutrition, shooting, and how to also enjoy the challenge of hunting. It’s also easy to listen to. I always feel like I’m right there in the conversation!

There’s SO many upland podcasts out there these days but no other women specific ones that I know of! Courtney does a great job on having a wide variety of topics related to bird dogs, hunting, and everything that comes a long with being a woman in the uplands. She’s encouraging, open minded, and has created an amazing space here online. I look forward to listening to these podcasts on long drives.

I had the pleasure of joining Courtney with The Bird Dog Babe on her show recently. To say she is a great advocate for women and all things outdoors doesn’t even begin to describe! Courtney is a great person and so so kind. You can tell by the other guests on her show that everyone feels welcomed and comfortable. She lets her guests really just talk and discuss why the outdoors is so important and educating on various topics. I highly recommend!

Every episode is well thought out, filled with great hosts, great stories and great information for men and women alike. Wether you have a flusher, pointer or retriever or are thinking of adding in a new dog, there is something for everyone.

I listen to numerous bird dog and retriever podcasts but this is among the very best. Courtney covers a great range of topics that are applicable to all types of dog owners and trainers. And her focus on creating spaces for women and those who come at the bird dog park world from different perspectives and places is vital to the future of dogs and the wild places we take them.

If you are getting a new pup, looking to strengthen your relationship with your maturer one, or just wanting to learn more about dogs and their eMate abilities, this is a must listen! The Bird Dog Babe covers topics in depth by asking thoughtful questions of her guests who have practical recommendations to offer to any dog owner. The line of questioning of her guests is detailed and well organized to make the information presented engaging and informative. Love the perspective from women who are active in the sport. As a freshman to the hunting world, it’s great to hear from women who are engaged in all aspects from conversation to training and more!

As a women with a ES in central Ohio with not very many female “bird dog” people around me, I LOVE this podcast.

So glad I found “The Bird Dog Babe!” I have been struggling to find female hunters and with the help of NAVHDA and the podcast, I didn’t just find female hunters, I found friends as well. Love listening to all of the podcast, I learn something from every single one, even the once I don’t think I would! Great training tips, great advise and great episodes! Keep up the good work, can’t wait to learn more!

I love this podcast! I’m just getting into hunting and am thinking of getting a bird dog. So much great information on this podcast! Plus so many awesome women! I was watching a NAVHDA invitational video on YouTube recently and was like “huh, lotta dudes.” Then I realized—after listening to this podcast my brain was thinking of all bird dog handlers as women! The info on the podcast goes beyond bird dogs. I learned so much to prepare for my first dove hunt this fall too!

I’ve absolutely LOVED the breakdown of the NAVHDA tests. These podcasts are invaluable, and I appreciate how thoughtful you were in putting them together. It’s great to be able to listen to a section of the test a few times as you train through those sections and hear the judges perspective on what they are looking for. I love your other episodes as well-but these are my absolute favorite.

I have listened to a handful of sporting dog podcasts — all of which feature men as hosts and guests majority of the time. I was so happy to find Bird Dog Babe! The episodes are educational and entertaining. I really enjoy this podcast!

I don’t remember how I found Courtney’s podcast, but it’s so refreshing to hear about bird hunting from a women’s perspective. The guests are great and there is a ton of good information to learn from these podcasts. Regardless of whether you have a pointing or flushing dog, there is something for every to take away!

I’m not new to bird dogs but I am new to bird dogs doing what they were bred to do. This podcast is super informative and fun to listen to!

Could not recommend this podcast more for any woman or mom out there who also loves their dogs. I’m very much a city girl who’s still newer to reputable and ethically bred dogs; in my pursuit of doing best for my dogs I have been learning about hunting and how to give my dogs opportunists to do what they’ve been bred to do. While I do not have a NAVDHA breed, I made all of my first connections through the NAVDHA people from a local woman who has Epangual Bretons. This podcast is so motivating and makes hunting feel less intimidating and much more accessible.

It’s refreshing to have a woman hosting a hunting podcast and Courtney does a fantastic job! She has a great line up of guests that both educate and inspire. My husband hunts, I love to work dogs and do photography but after listening to Girls Grouse Camp and all the fun these ladies are having I may need to start picking up my gun!

Courtney’s podcast has relit my excitement about upland hunting even as a novice hunter. She and her guests break down key information into the basics- which is perfect for someone like me who really has quite limited knowledge of the field. In just the few short weeks since I’ve started listening- I’ve already used the podcast to find women’s gear and put together a comprehensive dog first-aid kit. I feel like this is the type of podcast that women (and frankly anyone) need to feel confident and empowered to get out there. Thank you for such an incredible resource!

I’m a novice adult onset hunter. I’ve been tagging along, walking fields, sitting in on hunts and carrying a gun on hunts for the last 5 years. It wasn’t until my husband told me I should listen to this pod cast that I was exposed to so many other female hunters who are passionate about the outdoors, being public land owners, their dogs, cooking and supporting other female hunters—> it has really sparked a fire in me! I love the information about the dogs, guns, packing in/out of hunts, equipment and of course the cooking/recipes. I love to cook and we eat from what we harvest each hunting season too, so it’s fun to get new ideas of recipes/pairings to try. My most favorite thing aside from the content though has probably been just getting to follow these other female hunters on their Instagram/Facebook accounts and soak up all of their knowledge and support for hunting and other women! I’m grateful Birddog Babe is exposing me to all this information and the community of female hunters! Thank you!!

As a fellow Wisconsin girl, and adult onset hunter, I cannot endorse this podcast enough. Courtney has taught me so much in so little time. I adore her episodes with her husband and leave each episode excited to head out with my pup!

I’ve SO enjoyed listening to The Bird Dog Babe! Love the topics and guests. Everything has been super helpful! But I think what I’ve really enjoyed the most, is just being able to truly relate, being a women hunter myself. I’ve hunted my whole life, but didn’t find my true passion until I met my husband 13 years ago.. Now, for our 10th wedding anniversary we are celebrating by going on a Montana elk hunt this Oct. And hopefully booking a bird hunt for a day as well. I don’t have a bird dog as of yet, but I certainly will one day soon, especially with having an extreme passion for dogs and an array of other misc. farm animals 😄Anyways, this podcast has me hooked and I enjoy listening each week, especially now that I’m all caught up! I’m certainly looking into a new shotgun as well, which I WILL be keeping syren on my top list now 😉 Thank you!
