    Great Listen
As a young financial planner, I always learn something on the podcast. Communication and listening is so important clients. Thank you for shortening some of the podcast episodes. 1.5 hour long podcasts each week can be daunting even at 1.5x speed!

    What I’ve been looking for!
I always felt like there was a dynamic of my client meetings that was missing. When I first learned of the psychology of money, I discovered where the disconnect was. However, I didn’t know how to incorporate it until now. Since I started using the tools and tips outlined in some of these podcast, I have seen a true connection between myself and the client. Besides having a higher closing ratio, I have shortened the gap between my first meeting and closing meeting; sometimes within the first meeting!

One of the BEST FA podcasts out there, period.
Understanding the human side of money is so critical to building trust with clients and trust is the key to success. Technical skills are table stakes. People skills are the difference maker. As an introvert, I struggle with initiating contact with other humans. The episodes on mindset have been transformative. Re-writing the stories we tell ourselves - huge. Beyond that, recognizing the stories clients share with us because of well placed questions ultimately lead to much better satisfaction in the advisor client relationship, which leads to better outcomes for everyone. The work Brendan is doing is so important and much appreciated.

    It’s about time!
Finally, someone who gets it. Giving advice to advisors is more about strategy and mindset and less about tactics and gimmicks. This podcast is going to be the foundation for the new world order of younger advisors!

Great show if you FF the first 6 minutes
Intro is too long or too redundant from other shows. Every interview is time well spent - asks good questions and well worded for flow.

    Must listen for CFPs
The financial planning industry is on the cusp on moving towards behavioral based planning. Brendan has a solid understanding of the hurdles of applying behavioral finance and what needs to be done to flesh out behavioral finance in actual practice. His ideas are at the forefront of the change necessary to make behavioral finance a valuable tool for advisors.

    My new favorite professional podcast
This podcast is a must listen for financial planners. Behavioral finance is a vital part of financial planning, evidenced by the CFP Board adding the new module to their exam. Technology can now do a lot of of computing that people used to rely on advisors for when it comes to investing and retirement projections. The human side is where advisors add a value that cannot be replaced. With that comes the responsibility to ensure that we know what we are doing - that is where this podcast comes in. The guests are all knowledgeable and interesting. The information provided is both intellectual and practical. So glad I discovered this podcast.

    Each episode is a must-listen!
I had downloaded specific episodes that I wanted to listen to, but each has been so good with some valuable takeaways that I’m going back to the beginning and listening to all of them! Thank you Brendan for creating this podcast and bringing in such fantastic guests!

Can’t wait to watch this message grow!
This work is all about the intersection of “what the client wants” and “what the client needs”. Fortunately, Brendan has set out to create something he was interested in, which also happens to be something the profession seems to desperately need more of! Each episode is somehow better than the last. I haven’t had a chance to run through them all yet, but it’s already apparent this is timeless stuff and there’s no need to rush. Better have the opportunity to really let as much of this information sink in as possible. Keep it up and thanks again!

This is truly a great podcast 👏
Our space is oversaturated with good content but I find The Human Side of Money brings insightful experts who I haven't heard elsewhere (ie: Sarah Newcombe) and I'm not even an advisor. I just support planners - and I get pitched content ideas all day long. This is truly a great podcast 👏

    Human side
Great podcast to look at the human and emotional side of money. All clients have emotions and being able to connect to that with financial advice just elevates the relationship. Brendan has a way to connect and bring the conversation squarely into the financial industry for actual take aways.

Best Financial Advisor podcast I’ve come across so far
I have been an advisor for 30 years and have participated in seminars, webinars, online learning, podcasts etc. The more experience I have, the harder it is to find interesting and usable content but Brendan has nailed it. His podcasts are engaging and most importantly he has guests that have a unique perspective and usable advice even on topics that have been covered by hundreds of others for many years. I have listened to four of his podcasts in the last week and I’ve gotten usable information from everyone. To put that in perspective, I don’t think I have voluntarily listened to or watched any content completely in several years because it is usually the same message on the same topics or the speaker is boring. Brendan’s podcasts are the exact opposite.

    Ahead of the Game
Brendan is maturely focused on the true values of financial planning, looking to behavioral finance - beyond the commoditized topics of asset allocation and securities analysis. Well focused and thoughtful episodes!

    Love Brendan’s WHY!
I have been in the business for 21 years and I love that Brendan has started this outreach to financial advisors and ultimately the client’s that we all serve. Equipping the “captains” of the financial process with better ways to help people stay the course and control their behaviors is absolutely critical. Arguably the most important part of the clients journey through all life stages, and ultimately retirement.

This is the podcast advisors can not afford to miss

    Great Work!!!
During our time working together I always enjoyed your perspective. This is a great approach to our industry and there is always a need to focus on behavioral finance, often overlooked and misunderstood. The need now is greater than ever and your approach is fantastic!

    Much Needed Perspective
There is too much noise about analytics of investing and not enough thought put into the human element. Brendan offers a much needed perspective on the most important part of the equation.
