i have auditory processing issues and listening to people talk is not easy for me. this podcast? is the first time i have EVER been able to listen to and enjoy a podcast without getting lost and having to rewind constantly. señora zarela and chef aarón and their fascinating guests bring food alive.

Listening to Señora Zarela, her son Aarón and Bricia Lopez this morning brought me to Mexico, the mercados and then to Los Ángeles. It is amazing how a wonderful conversation filled with respect and love, translates and transports you to a new place. Truly inspiring. Well done.

I’m having trouble finding words to express how exceptional this podcast is. Every episode has taught me new techniques and insights into Mexican cuisine, through the lens of a family dedicated to their craft. I feel lucky to have the benefits of their experience and am grateful that they chose to share it so freely. It’s the best food podcast available, by a mile. I can’t thank you enough for your gift of knowledge.

Love love this podcast, it is the one podcast I have actually subscribed to because every episode is great. They are real people with great stories and are perfect together on this podcast. So much useful information mixed with such great stories, the perfect combination. I actually learn something new in every episode and take away so much valuable insight. I love the loving but kick back relax relationship Zarela and Aaron has it is so unique and is so easy to listen to. Zarela reminds me so much of my grandmother, her voice and her stories and everything about her, brings me back to a very special time. Please keep it going,

As a Mexican American that used to go to Mexico every year I love it. I am very intrigued on learning the different types of food in Mexico. My parents are from a town south of Jalisco and some easy foods as tacos, sopes and tortas were prepared different compared to the US or other Mexico states. I used to tell anyone that wanted to listen lol.I am happy I got to experience the nixtamal process as a teenager with my cousins. They don’t do it much anymore. It was nice to listen to it and reminisce. I love listening to Aaron’s mom Zarela. So much history that I can listen to all day.

Aaron Sanchez is engaging and combining his Mom’s knowledge of the culinary arts makes for an excellent podcast. Genius

The way Zarela interrupts her guests gets really annoying. Saying I’m going to make something wrong before even telling us how to make it was insulting. Otherwise this podcast is very informative and I’m learning a lot.

I was a big fan of Zarela's restaurant and always welcome the opportunity to learn from her. The podcast was as informative as I expected, but it was also engaging and humorous. The exchanges between mother and son were lovely.

This podcast is such a treasure. Zarela is such a knowledgeable chef and listening to her reminds me of my aunt. However, her son’s recounting of his achievements gets old fast.

I have not heard the podcast, because it is not available yet. I am confident it will be exceptional, based upon the qualifications of Ms. Martinez and her son Aron, both brilliant trailblazing giants of Mexican cuisine. Highly recommend Zarela’s books on Oaxaca and Veracruz; haven’t gotten to Aaron’s books yet, but his skills are readily accessible through his TV appearances. This is going to be exceptional!
