Like a mini watch party šŸŽ‰
So fun listening to Garrett’s and Robbie’s commentary as I rewatch Voyager! Also, 100% worth the Patreon subscription for the video interviews with other cast members!

    A little disappointed…
Not gonna lie… I’m about a quarter of the way through season 2 and I don’t think I can continue to listen. There is so little actual Star Trek knowledge involved it’s annoying. I’ve never really cared that much about learning about/seeing behind the scenes stuff or really the actors personal lives in general so maybe that’s why this show hasn’t landed for me. RDM and Garrett Wong seem like decently cool humans but they can be way overly critical of the show. RDM especially is so hard on the writing of Tom Paris. Like dude it was the early mid 90’s not 2025. It’s okay to be hard on yourself but my goodness. The first couple of seasons of VOY are already kinda slow to pick up and some of this dialogue isn’t helping with it. Sorry gents, I may have to abstain.

    Awesomeness!!
I have only been a podcast listener for about a year now. I just found this show and I love it 😁

Do They Even Like Their Own Show?
I really want to like this podcast because I love Voyager, but Robert Duncan McNeill is so overly critical of the show. All TV requires a suspension of disbelief, particularly science fiction. His constant nit picking and looking for plot holes is so annoying! I wish they would stick to sharing stories of the production and discussing the meaningful themes of the episodes. This show made him famous and made him a director. As a fan it’s upsetting to hear him be so dismissive and disrespectful of it.

    LOVE IT !!!
Love all the Star Trek series. Voyager and Deep Space Nine were my favorites. Great podcast guys!!!!! You all were amazing. The journey was and is still so fun to get lost in. I've watched each series multiple times. Thx s

Excellent for fans of Star Trek
Fantastic podcast for fans of Star Trek and especially Voyager. Looking forward to the DS9 crossover as that is my favorite Trek series. Both hosts come off as generally decent people who enjoy talking to each other as well as other cast members. Only minor gripe is that sometimes there is a lack of general Star Trek knowledge but I guess I can’t expect the actors who play the characters to be Trek experts.

    Garrett 🤬
5 stars minus Garrett. Someone MUST stop him. Everyone else is a pure delight. Years on, and he never lets up on steamrolling his cohosts. No one is here for the Garrett of it all, especially not w/Terry and Armin for DS9. Stop live-editing everyone else’s poetry. Stop interrupting to ā€œcorrectā€ everyone’s take on a scene. Stop trying to beat everyone to saying the end of their sentence. Stop inventing senseless acronyms and punching every feeble pun with ā€œthere ya goā€. We all desperately want to hear from anyone and everyone else. Big overbearing self-important stepdad vibes. I’m still listening, but I’m also literally yelling at the same time.

    I LOVE THISSS
I’m a die hard Star Trek fan and I am so glad to have a podcast to listen to while doing things and i can’t sit down and watch Star Trek. I love this!

    Please adjust the ad volume!
I'm enjoying the show... until the INCREDIBLY LOUD VEGAS COMMERCIAL bursts out and makes me nearly swerve right off the road!! Please either figure out a way to lower the volume of the ads, or give us a heads up that it's coming ("and now a word from our sponsor") so we can turn down the volume temporarily. Sheesh.

    Good and bad
DS9 is my favorite trek and the DS9 actor’s perspective on the episodes is interesting, entertaining and informative….BUT i probably won’t be able to listen all the episode reviews because I find Mr. Wang to be trying too hard to be funny and it comes off as annoying to me, hopefully he will tone it down in future episodes because this podcast has high potential…..and Sulu is my favorite helmsman. Lol

    Love this show!
I just started listening, and since I’m rewatching DS9 at the moment, I started there. This podcast is delightful! All of the behind-the-scenes info is so much fun, as is the analysis of the directing, chatting about scripts, etc. Armin Shimmerman was great on The Emissary episode, and then he disappeared. Hoping he comes back, but it’s still great with the other three hosts. Highly recommend to Trekkies and Trekkers, as well as people who are new to the series.

    So much fun!!
Love this show! Entertaining, funny, and tons of behind the scenes info. Great for any fan of ST: V!

    Not bad, but improvement needed.
I’ve just recently found The Delta Flyers. I was super excited to listened to two ex-cast members to review and discuss the series. For the most part I e enjoyed the majority of the show. I have listened to many Trek podcasts and this one’s not the worst. However, there’s a few cringe moments that seem to be popping up more and more frequently. The hosts can get a little self absorbed. Many interruptions while the co-host and guests are taking. The humor falls flat at times, especially with the impressions. But even after all that said, it’s the lack of Trek knowledge and lore that makes me give it the 2 star rating. I’m hoping for improvement now that Terry and Armin are involved.

What is the best Star Trek podcast?
Star Trek The Next Conversation is the best podcast ever in the history of all podcasts, up to and including podcasts that may run much smoother than this one with hosts who know exactly what order their show goes in; they're still better than that...FIVE STARS!!!

Had to throw in the towel
The good: interesting perspective of the filming process from the actors, with lots of technical detail, and oft-lovely odes to the people behind the scenes. The bad: absolutely exhausting, ā€œhumorousā€ long riffs from one of the hosts that often just come across as mean spirited and self-involved. And a weird insistence on being ā€œjokinglyā€ nasty about some characters/actors. Eventually my interest in learning about the making of the show got overwhelmed by the bad. YMMV. I managed to last til Season 5 but stopped listening before the DS:9 season so maybe it got better with additional hosts.

The retrofitted ads are jarring and randomly placed, also Garret, take your own advice.
The retrofitted ads are super awkward and weirdly placed. Garret, You’ve shut down conversations on pronunciation but will use mocking/borderline racist tones for the Irish and play off mispronouncing things in English. Stick to your guns in all aspects if you’re gonna call that stuff out. It works both ways. Be as respectful as you’d expect to be respected. Otherwise great podcast. Please stop interrupting the DS9 people. :( Let them reminisce about their memories on their show instead of shutting them down to move on quickly. It was cringy hearing that.
  • nurfurder
Misplaced and overly loud ads mar otherwise solid pod
I’d leave 4-5 stars, but where did the ads come from? It would be tolerable if they were integrated intentionally, like at scene breaks, but they come out of nowhere, and at a much louder volume than the rest of the audio. I feel like I have to yank my headphones out to prevent hearing loss. They also just seem to play over the normal audio, so when they’re over, I’m lost. Hire an audio producer and fix this, please. Otherwise, I’m out. Also, sometimes I wonder what the heck Robbie and Garret are smoking. They sometimes fail to see the purpose of obvious story points.

    Voyager! My favorite Star Trek!
Voyager, for sure, is my favorite Star Trek series. And I was excited when I saw the Delta Flyer podcast. I am currently on the last season and loving almost every minute of it. Suddenly, discovering they’re throwing an ad in the podcast and it’s a sad when they just toss it in, playing while Garrett and Robbie are talking and I miss what they say while the ad runs. In my opinion it’s a poorly placed. The ads just started, I think I’m on maybe episode nine and it’s just been the last couple episodes. I did wish I could’ve made it through the whole series without ads.

    Almost a 5 star
I love the show 5 star review only if both Geret & Robert admit the love for captain Janeway

Been with them since they started, love the pod, just recently changed platforms so now I can leave a review. Be kind and be well

    So happy to find this
I loved this show when I was a teenager and rewatched it a few years ago. Hearing behind the scenes anecdotes is great!

    Big fan of DS9
So happy to hear from Terry Ferrell and Armin Shimmerman about the making of DS9. I realize that this show was started by Voyager actors, but if the shift is to DS9, there should be less criticism of DS9. Robbie and Garrett often interrupt or talk over Terry and Armin, just to add comments about a Voyager comparison. Hoping this is just online delay, but it happens often. Very excited to get to ā€œLittle Green Menā€, ā€œTrials and Tribbleationsā€ , ā€œHouse of Quarkā€ and particularly ā€œFacetsā€ ā€œRejoinedā€ and ā€œYou Are Cordially Invitedā€. Give the DS9 folks their space and respect.

    Nerdiest of the nerdy
With Star Trek, poetry, etymology, and how to create great scenes this show appeals to my favorite aspects of storytelling. Thank you!
  • Shawnyb0y
    Garret, cool it
It’s soooo cringe to hear you complain about people and things that happened 20 years ago. And so nice to hear you talk about the show and making it. Please stop throwing your old coworkers under the bus. It’s rude and not fun to hear.

    Best DS9 rewatch
Love the cross over review with DS9 actors and Voyager actors! I especially love the morals and lessons discussionsšŸ––šŸ½

    DS9!!
This is great, DS9 is by far my favorite Trek.

    Disappointing explicit language
This is an amended review. Previously 5 stars, now 3, because the language is deteriorating. This was one of the few clean pods and I absolutely loved it. I was so upset when the Voyager recaps ended. But now, the language is creeping in. And DS9 is a terrible show, but I’ll give it a chance if you keep it clean.
  • B-No Good
    Race Wars
Garrett’s race war rhetoric is super wack. No one is here to hear you compare the Black plight with the Asian one. Stop racing to be the most oppressed, and unite with your brothers, sisters and nonbinary POC. Asian, LatinX and Black folks built this country together under an oppressive hand. Some are still being oppressed. Others preach in a privileged tone like yourself. Robert, much like your character, your banter is a bit self-centered, and for some reason, you need to regularly inject a personal anecdote that no one cares about. I literally had to fast forward through the moments when your ranting overshadowed a guest sharing their journey.

    Loving this
The show is smart, interesting entertaining. Informative and professional. Terrific all around. The interactions between hosts is perfect. I ,for one, couldnt be happier.

    The Ultimate Behind the Scenes
For fans of Star Trek: Voyager, this is valuable content. Garrett and Robbie exude the on screen chemistry from the show as hosts. The weekly show format of presenting Haiku/Limerick show summary of the episode to their own personal ratings is very well done. It shows their passion for creativity and humble desire to provide their show remembrances to the fans.
  • Noompa1981
    Too much nonsense
Why does Garrett feel the need to over explain everything? He also excessively affirms when listening to RDM. It comes off as if he’s rushing his cohost.
  • hasslerzach
    Amazing podcast
I grew up watching Star Trek with my mother. Often it was next generation or enterprise but I remember the first time she watched Voyager. I watched all of it with her and LOVED it. Every time I watch it it reminds me of that first time and hearing these wonderful actors rewatch and review this show is amazing. Keep up the good work Robert and Garret.
  • Grimoire-esque
    End it here. Reassess.
Rob is great. He's the anchor. Garrett is an overly excitable man-child. Rob couks do well as a podcaster going forward if he "man's the helm" and splits from Garrett. The Delta Flyer was always Tom's anyway. Take it to other series and actors and production staff. We'd love it.
  • Redwood runner
    Great idea
I really enjoyed Voyager and was often curious about the behind the scene activities, and thoughts about character development and some of the variations we saw in the writing or character dialogue. I’ve often felt like if the production did not make this so episodic, it would have taken on an epic story. One final note. Garrett Wang might consider letting some of his resentments on the show and with some cast memebers go. He’s a bright individual who often gets in his own way. Making fun of Kate Mulgrew’s voice and other side comments did not add to what they were trying to do here.

    These guys!
Two of my favorite artists/actors from Star Trek Voyager! They’ve been working hard and working on their craft and making amazing projects for the next generation of Trekkers.Garret Wang and Famed director/writers of Star Trek projects and beyond other projects. Let’s see what they have to say about the topics and subject matter that they have been discussing.@The Delta Flyers

    Fascinating reviews
We listen to each podcast and then rewatch the episode. Makes it so much more interesting. I’m appreciating Voyager so much more this time. You guys are great!
  • Hopetrek
    Such a great perspective!
Well done Robbie and Garrett… I love you guys! You both were great in Voyager! Robbie, I love your directing in Voyager and in other shows. You both did a great job with recapping seven seasons of Voyager I really enjoy it, I love that you love each other and your fellow cast & crew mates. Thank you also for being able to agree to disagree. One thing that stands out for me is that you guys really don’t know how to suspend your disbelief. You should try it because it makes science-fiction much more enjoyable! On the other hand, Robbie, I enjoyed your technical critiques and Garrett, I loved your anecdotalā€˜s you both have a wealth of knowledge regarding Voyager and show business in general. I also realize that you guys didn’t watch the show during the first run and you haven’t watch reruns so some of the continuity stuff is there you just didn’t know it and that’s cool. I will be revisiting Delta Flyers for sure. I hope you make the decision to stay on and do recaps of other Star Trek shows & movies, that would be very cool. Live long & prosper šŸ––

    This is the Way!
Delta Flyers is the podcast equivalent of a ST:VOY Director's Commentary DVD set...only much, much better. It's obvious Garrett & Robbie have been friends a long time, genuinely like each other, love their craft, and enjoy talking about Voyager. They freely praise cast and crew, but are also critical of themselves and others' performance when warranted. The way they agree to disagree on different takes and interpretations is refreshing in 2023. I will be sad when they get to the last episode of the show, but I've really enjoyed the ride. Thank you, Garrett and Robbie!

    The platinum standard of podcasts
This podcast is incredibly well done. For patreon members, you can also watch the podcast on video with extras. Production quality 10/10. I hope they continue, even if it’s just chatting about their experiences and careers, thoughts on things, etc. both Wang and McNeil are thoughtful and compassionate people. Our world is better with them both. Watch Voyager first though, in its entirety, because there are spoilers.

    Love this Podcast!
I’ve listened to this podcast from the beginning and it has only gotten better over time. I love the format - going scene by scene helps me envision the episode. And the insight provided by RDM into how it was shot and directed is exactly what I needed. I listen to other Star Trek podcasts but don’t find them as interesting and fulfilling as this one. Because the others don’t really go into each scene, most of the time I have no idea what the episode is about. So please, Garrett and Robbie, cover another Star Trek series in the same format as this one once you have covered all of Voyager’s. Love you guys!

    Yes ma’am
I grew up on voyager and I am so glad I discovered this podcast. There is some very thoughtful analysis into these episodes and really elevates it above other shows.
  • speedydave24
    Rewatch done right!
Garrett and Robby do a fantastic job taking you through each episode and explaining each scene while giving inside information on what it took to make a certain shot, the director’s perspective and what it takes as an actor to make the lines come to life. This should be the model all other rewatch podcasts follow. No frills, limited idle conversation and NO POLITICS. Thanks for putting this out.

    A great show!
I have always felt a connection to all things Star Trek and Voyager is truly my all time favorite. Tom and Harry were some of my favorite characters.. the charming rouge pilot and the lovable Clarinet playing ensign, but over the years both of them matured and their characters became something special, something dynamic. This podcast makes me feel like I’m friends with Robby and Garrett, like I’m there drinking coffee with them and reminiscing about the good old days. Thank you for this amazing gift to all Voyager fans. I wish I could give this show more than 5 stars. ā¤ļøā¤ļø

    An amazing POV
I love to hear recaps of one of my favorite shows with the viewpoint of not only two of the actors who played roles in it but RDM’s POV as a director.

You guys make me smile. I listen in my car on the way to and from work. My face hurts by the time I get to my destination from smiling so much. Anyway I’m late to the game and I’m currently on Season two and trying desperately to catch up to real time podcasts. I’m so sad I didn’t know about this sooner. I’m like a lot of other viewers that watch Voyager EVERY single night before I go to bed. I’ve seen it so many times. I feel like I’m with old friends when I watch. Thank you for this it’s been fun to listen to.
