    Good podcast with quirky format
I enjoy Cropper’s thoughts and comments on music. The format is unusual with the actual reading of lyrics in such a monotone delivery, but it’s fine. My only critique is that his opinions seem a little too in-line with the famous rankings of high-profile publications. Especially with regard to albums. It’s okay to not have Peppers and Pet Sounds on a top five list. They are, after all, more important than good. But as albums they are very flawed. I’m sure he could defend his take, though. This is just my opinion, of course. I wished there was a bit more of originality there.

    Harsh on 500 Songs List
I wish I could just rate an episode instead of the entire podcast because the rest might be fantastic. So if you’re reading this review it’s solely on the episode talking about Rolling Stone’s latest 500 Songs list. Honestly I don’t think the list is great either, but the host seems to come at the viewpoint of it should be solely a rock and soul list, which would be a huge disservice to other types of music. He says he could do a better list and while I might even like his list more if he were to do so it would be fairly white, which would be problematic. He also says he doesn’t like songs that are political, but music is political.
