It’s like having three pals in the studio with me, who also give expert advice on the illustration industry. A brilliant podcast to listen to for anyone who’s curious about drawing or creativity!

Yup that’s a funny/odd title but fitting for one of the most delightful podcasts around. It’s three friends who are all illustrators having a chat and telling stories spanning from college to their professional careers. They go off on wild tangents and tell the most colorful stories. You feel as if you’re actually with them though the experience. Not only is inspiring as an illustrator to listen to but they talk about life lessons and how to bounce back from obstacles. This podcast is perfect for anyone with a heart and soul! I dare you to not smile while listening!

Love listening to Helen, Katie, and Tania sharing their personal sausage experiences from work to life! So much fun and encouraging, and it kept me do better little by little. This is reminding me that you are your unique individual, and that’s what make us special:) Bring your crisps & snacks, and have a listen, it’s like having a tea party with good friends, never gets old!

This has become one of my top favorite podcasts. Every episode is full of great info and fun. Can’t recommend it enough!

As an illustrator just finding my feet, I listen to the Good Ship to answer industry-specific questions and to explore things like style & creativity. Tania, Helen, & Katie offer wise counsel and diverse perspectives. I think of them as my personal British cheering squad, and I can’t express how much I appreciate them & this podcast (and their other materials!!).

This is hands down my favorite podcast! I get so excited when it pops to the top of my podcast feed, kindly letting me know there are new episodes. I was just starting to dip my toes in the art class world a few years back when i chose to stop and take care of my sweet little baby boy instead. Now several years and several kids later I am trying to get back to making art once again but alas I’m no longer near a school with art classes so I am forging my own self taught path. These three lovely ladies steering the Good Ship Illustration are a wonderful alternative! I eat up their words and wisdom and laugh along with them as I listen to each episode multiple times, making sure I don’t miss anything!! They are smart and funny and very laid back in the most welcoming way. If art and illustration is your thing, this is the podcast for you!

I’ve been following along with the good ship podcast after finding their insta I think before lock down, then they became friends (in my head) I’ve taken a picture book course which was wonderful, I join in with their Friday lives too! they are so interesting, funny and full of information it’s like listening to your really knowledgeable friends chat! Just so good x

The Goodship gals talk about the art and business of illustration in real, down-to-earth terms. The joys, the struggles, the cheap sausage companies that want you to promote their brand and then ghost you...it's all covered here. And wherever you happen to be on your path as an illustrator, there's no panicking allowed! The Goodship helps me keep putting one foot in front of the other as an artist every day.

I love these three women! They’re so fun to listen to, very down to earth. They create a space in the podcast world that make you feel at home. I’m not a professional illustrator, though it’s something I aspire to do and yet I still feel like I fit in. Lots of great information and maybe more importantly encouragement. I’m currently participating in the Picture Book course which I highly recommend!

The three hosts have slightly different career backgrounds and it’s fun to hear them converse about their experiences and advice to other creators. It feels like a bit of art community for where ever you are at.

The good ship team has been so inspiring for me. I’m currently taking one of their courses and am loving the podcast. It’s a wealth of information that really speaks to the inner child. Art making is something that comes from such a sacred Internal place and good ship really speaks to that foundation. A lot of art sources can focus so much on technique (which can be great!) but good ship focuses on the base- the why we make art, the how we make art, and where art comes from. Nothing sparks creativity and productivity for me more, than lowering the walls around the inner desire to just play. Thank you good ship team!

So I draw with these three on Friday night art club ! I am about to take their class for the second time , and now a podcast ?? My cup runneth over ! I like hearing about what kind of chips Helen has a snack, that they are not too cool to draw with their feet , and that I feel like I am in one of their kitchens listening to their art knowledge and advice . I couldn’t love Tania, Helen and Katie more ! ( plus they have adorable accents too )

I absolutely love this podcast! Such upbeat and positive energy and informative as heck! Katie, Helen and Tania are all working professionals, so they know the ins and outs of the biz.
