Amazing deep dives on extremely relevant topics with amazing analyses, but yeah guys, please try not to talk over each other? Half the time I feel like I’m listening to (super well-informed) bar talk right before someone storms out 🤣

    Almost 5 stars
Could y’all please work on not taking over and interrupting each other? It’s very distracting and hard to listen to. Your podcast is great and I want to absorb all of it.

    SUS WOULD-BE WITCH BURNERS
I will admit that I listen to this show just to laugh at it. So, I’m not saying it’s completely without value, but it’s way too idiotic to give any stars based on that. These guys are creepy. They would be the first leftists to lead a new Salem Witch Trials hand in hand with right wing Christians. They’re seemingly biased against anyone with any type of occult belief. They equate pretty much all esoteric belief with satanism. They clearly have very little understanding of what they’re talking about when it comes to these widespread and varied types of religious practices. But who needs well researched or nuanced opinions when you have vibes. These things feel “sus” to them and therefore they are. They hardy ever mention mainstream religion’s much more obvious connections to right wing politics. In fact they often agree with and defend hateful right wing religious extremists. For example, they defend the satanic panic as being justified and legitimate. They also dip into Rothschild conspiracies. This show is truly braindead. It feels like you’re listening to a bit. I will give them this, the songs they use in the bumpers are usually pretty good. They have some decent taste in music. But If you’re left wing, there’s a whole world of great podcasts to listen to out there. I beg you to find a show where the hosts have more than 2 braincells to rub together. Also, this show may very well be a CIA plot to dumb down the left and make it as preposterously stupid and insane as possible. Extremely sus.

    Great open minded left-conspiracy podcast
This is top-tier podcast. So glad to be in the Grotto. Balanced and sobering compared to other sus conspiracy pods. Historically insightful into unions/strikes, fraud, and true conspiracy.

    Good topics and breakdown
I can’t recall how I found this podcast but I’m glad that I did. I don’t think I align with the hosts from a political perspective but I appreciate the topic choice and depth of the information. Thanks for putting together.

    Top five fave podcast
I am really glad I found this podcast. I am a(n) historian and autodidact and I just found it kind of putzing around looking for new podcasts. I don’t always agree with everything they say, sure, but they’re great podcasters. Dedicated researchers, and quite funny. They have a very charming dynamic as friends and co-hosts. I don’t miss an episode- in fact I’ve listened to most episodes more than once and I recommend it to my friends. Dmitri I think does the music selection, or maybe it’s both of them, and they have a pretty good ear, incidentally. Not that it’s a requirement, but as a person with quite particular music taste, i can be easily annoyed by podcast background or transition music. They put some Detroit techno in the interlock episode and I was really won over in that moment. This podcast can be for anyone, whether you are a serious autodidact slash intellectual or just a regular degular mf-er. Big ups to SJ.

one of the best conspiracy podcasts from a marxist perspective. been listening to them for almost two years now and really appreciate their deep research
  • space rick
Like if Tipper Gore read Marx and watched nothing but ancient aliens.
The show is a mixed bag. The historical episodes are pretty solid, especially the Great American Fortunes episodes. But it’s hard to know why a material analysis would matter in a universe where the hosts literally believe there are Islamic fire spirits running around. Fun for a listen. But, like, you know, um, mystifying everything with stories about genies is pretty sus.

if you didnt rate this 5 stars, youre a jinn
i love the vocal fry and “umms”, to the crybabies complaining about it, go listen to NPR or something

Cryptid Episodes are the Best Ones
For people who make fun of ~serious scientists~ for saying “ermm actually…” a lot, those two seem to do a lot of “ermm actually”-ing. They also fall into the trap of making any discomfort or distaste they have for someone or something into an indication that they or it is an ideological threat. “If I don’t like it, that means it must be sus”. That being said, the Cryptid episodes are great and they have some interesting things to say.

Only Continually Interesting Pod I know
Deep dives, good length, good chemistry, carefully thought out and fantastic topics
  • TozGraecus
    Infowars for Leftists
Take a shot every time something is labeled sus or a psy-op. Fascinating topics but I wish the hosts would remember there is an audience and they’re not just talking to themselves. There is a kind of cynical smugness to the whole thing which is a problem with many shows of this type. All that being said, I can’t think of any other show filling this niche, and it does scratch an itch for me.
  • terryberetta
Uh you know , like umm
I listened to an episode that was 1:47 and one of the hosts said um like you know 1,287 times
  • Jaseoner82
    Good… but
The topics are right up my ally. But sound issues and the one hosts vocal fry make it so I can’t get past 10 min
  • gyoedb
    Wasted talent
Only leaving review in hopes eventually they will take heed and this podcast will live up to its potential. Amazing intellects wasted due to lack of communication skills. I cannot listen to weighty topics punctuated with the word sus though-out. Please stop. I would pay for premium if you would work on better delivery.
  • Xianisemo
    Only long podcast
Quickly became one of my all time favorite podcasts. The episodes spanning 3-4 hours is my favorite. makes long work days go by a lot easier and doesn’t feel like the hosts are trying to fill up an hour with whatever to get a monthly sub. Keep up the long episodes please!!!
  • fivemountains
Super fun subject matter, rough hosting
Listened to the Laurel Canyon shows and listening to the Grateful Dead shows now. All in all, super cool subject matter, but delivery is brutal. First of all, in a highly speculative space, you speculate A LOT beyond your source material, and second, please work on your delivery. Your episodes would be half the length if you removed the “uhs” and “you knows” and “likes.”

    Punk episode was not good
Was excited to listen to the punk episode, but when they laid out their punk credentials it was just some guy who said he really liked Sum 41. Dumb.
  • Hocus666
It’s, uh, like, uh pretty good, like.
The content is great for grad level conspiracy theory but Khalid (and to a lesser extent Dimitri) says the word “like”, like a thousand times per episode. I’d give, like, 4 stars, if he stopped this very annoying habit. They are both religious monotheists, too. Which makes me question their, umm, like critical thinking skills. If you’re already familiar with the topics and don’t mind someone (Khalid) who unquestioningly believes in Islam, then be prepared to “like” this p*dcast. Personally, I can’t listen to it anymore. How can someone who questions everything believe in outdated, ridiculous things like Islam?(or religion in general). I guess it’s uh, uh, like cognitive, uh, dissonance.
  • porkborscht
    humbling and excellent
the best content! and the best podcast. if you think you know a lot about conspiracies Demitri and Khalid’s research will humble you. also good to hear this stuff from people who aren’t godless. after hearing all episodes, the audio quality is exactly as it should be.
  • Polly Ester23
    Like and you know
If you took the words like and you know this would only be 30 minutes long.
  • Notabuck
Has potential but they talk over each other too much
This is an amazingly well researched podcast with fantastic content that should only get better over time. They could benefit from editing - there’s no reason for an unstructured podcast to run this (3+ hours each episode) long. Also, their timing needs work, there are too many instances where they are both talking at the same time. Gets annoying when each episode is as long as it is.
  • NL873
    Brain drain.
Listening to this is like watching the frazzle drip video while on LSD and listening to an audiobook of Gravity’s Rainbow all at the same time, but in a good way.
  • Cryptologik
    Fascinating - with Issues
The content of the show is terrific. This show is meant for those already well versed in the conspiracy and other topics the hosts cover. Dimitri and Khalid will not provide an overview of the topic, a timeline, or a description of the players involved. They jump directly into analysis and hop around a lot. I suppose you could say that the shows are disorganized and rambling. I’m ok that approach, but if you’re new to these topics, you’ll be very confused. Dimitri is great and knows how to record a podcast for the most part - maybe an introduction and overview would be helpful. That being said, Khalid interrupts and uses tons of filler words and phrases. If hearing “um, like, you know” every five seconds will annoy you, be forewarned. The show would be much better if Khalid slowed down and left a split second of silence between thoughts. I appreciate the show, but probably won’t be listening after I make it through another topic or two. Khalid’s “umms” and “you knows” are just too distracting. Also, the levels are very low and I have to strain to hear.
  • Tacticies
    Unironically probably a psyop
It’s the 700 Club for people who watch Hassan Piker. 10/10! Gotta say that thinking people that follow a non-Abrahamic faith are all worshiping demons is a lil weird though

doing the cia’s work for free
no investigation, no right to speak… and no, googling history on the fly doesn’t count. if you haven’t intentionally and rigorously investigated the baseline cultural assumptions associated with the cold war propaganda [that as a subject in the imperial core, you have been inculcated in since birth] its ramifications and implications, then your going to be led to default [imperialist] conclusions.
  • Aaron The Red
    Meh
Khalid is an awful speaker. Too many “um” “uhhh” and “like”. The narrative arc gets lost a lot. Production value is not the best, but also not the worst. Some pretty interesting info. It’s just not presented well. If you’re working a long day, and need something as background noise, it’s fine.

This podcast de-calcified my pineal gland and enlightened me to presence of jinn-ly and shaytanic forces around us. (Audio could stand to be a little louder and less tinny tho)

Interesting Research, but Some of the Conclusions Seem Unsubstantiated
I only listened to a few episodes, but like where you’re going with most of this stuff. Obviously, it’s good to stay vigilant and always assume USG officials are sus. However, I find the decisions on which elite and/or USG sources you deem credible kinda haphazard. I’ll listen to a few more and get back to youse.
  • PaulJanish
    Yeah, ummmmm
Evidently editing is sus. Topics are interesting, but the narrative gets lost too often. Levels are too low as well.
  • BillyQuizboy
    Open minded, overly credulous
Like 75% of their content is interesting and worth following up on, but the rest is pretty embarrassing. Their default position when confronted by an event that strikes them as odd is to attribute it to a genie. Really. Bigfoot and Mothman? We’re leaning towards genies, folks. A guy wearing a hat in the background of a grainy video whose features are hard to make out? Clearly a genie. Not a podcast I’d let other people catch me listening to.
