I Can't Believe It's Not Buddha with Lee Mack & Neil Webster

Comedian Lee Mack has long had an interest in Buddhism, mindfulness and the possibility of leading a more spiritual life. After a few years of dabbling in meditation, he feels the time has come to decide once and for all whether he should seriously seek spiritual enlightenment.‘I Can’t Believe It’s Not Buddha’ is a new podcast which finds Lee and his friend Neil taking their first (often clumsy) steps on the road to Nirvana. From picking which type of Buddhism to follow, to contemplating what a woodland creature would say to you if you asked it the time; Lee and Neil explore the principles and practices of Buddhism in a way that spiritual practice has never been explored before… Possibly for very good reason.Make sure you subscribe and leave a review! Exhausted from listening
So much off topic chattering, unproductive conversation. This could be so good.

Met by accident, stayed on purpose
I came across this podcast by accident, but I stayed because I genuinely found it funny and informative. I think everything that’s being said in the podcast is genuine and honest and I love that! Also, I have found that this podcast pretty much sets the scene and lays out the context for someone who wants to go read more about Buddhism, because it’s very easy to understand and very clear. The book recommendations are awesome!

    Gut laugh
I really enjoy this podcast. It involves two things I’m interested in learning about mindful meditation and gut laughing. I’m pretty stoked that I have 20 something more episodes to listen to.

    Most entertaining
I have learned a bit about meditation, and had a lot of fun listening two men of a certain age bickering. No ads, merch, nothing but two gents trying to figure out if they’re showbiz w*nkers. They’re not - they’re lovable, especially once Lee has run out of showbiz stories early on.

    I really tried!
As I am just starting to explore buddhism, this podcast sounded like exactly what I needed. A nice light and fun approach to exploring the new religion, but unfortunately it just became unlistenable due to the hosts constant silly off-topic bantering that isn’t funny or educational. I was constantly waiting for them to stop the nonsense so that I might actually get some information about Buddhism and unfortunately the few tidbits that I did get were so buried beneath the silliness that I had to give up. The pattern of one host starting a sentence and the other host immediately jumping in to poke fun at him repeated over and over and over and was simply exhausting.

    Fun and informative
Just recently felt I should learn more about mindfulness because I see a lot of anxiety in my students at school. Hearing Neil and Lee’s stories and honest look at meditation, I’ve learned way more than I thought I would. And it’s hysterical listening two these two fellas chat like two old friends at the pub! I hope this never ends—it’s my weekly pick-me-up during these stressful times!
