Steph and Alex are such a great duo. Idk why there’s a review hating on Alex cause that guy is a classic and made makes me lol every episode. Steph is so good at painting the picture and explaining the stories she’s telling. Also yall hating abt a political view? Get a grip and lifeeee, Trump drools, Steph and Alex rule.

These would be SO much better if you let the survivors tell their own story. It has much more impact.

I’ve been listening for at least a year now and I’ve binged all the eps i missed. Why do so many people in these reviews give Alex so much?! I love what he brings to the show. He has a great humor and i generally like his questions. Sometimes he’ll ask something and I’m like “now come on Alex, please catch up my guy!” lol but i like him! I like the vibes here, keep bringing it yall! I’ll be SAT every week, mmk?

I’ve listened to Not Today since 2020. Long days at work or just driving it gives you a short reprieve from life and an appreciation for the uniqueness of everyones story. Recently got my partner to start listening and we’ll spend time together listening to the podcast. Steph and Alex you are the BEST!!

Been binging since I found it. The stories are interesting, Alex asks the questions I’m thinking ands Steph has a great way of telling stories and well researched. Just the right amount of sarcasm and seriousness.

We don’t need to know your political opinion on the 2024 election results. Over half the country is elated. Roll with it. Let’s make America Great Again without the negativity.

I’m new to this podcast. I tune into podcasts to take my mind off of every day life, not to listen to the hosts talk about how upset they are about the election. We are being bombasted from both sides of the aisle and I’m sick of it. I could turn the tv on if I wanted to hear about someone’s feelings about the election. Stick to the themes of your podcast. Although I am not a Trump supporter, I’m sure you have listeners who are and I’m sure you will be losing them. There are too many good podcasts that keep their personal lives personal and do their podcast.

I started with the first couple of episodes, then had to go back to newer episodes, now I am working my way through all the old episodes while listening to the new episodes as they come out each week. The growth from episode one to now is amazing. If you are struggling getting through the first couple of episodes I would recommend listening to the newer ones to see if this podcast is right for you. Alex and Stef have grown so much as story tellers- while keeping the silly lighter comments, they no longer distract and go as far from the stories as they used to if that’s something you struggled with listening to in the beginning (I truly love this podcast just commenting on some of the other reviews I’ve seen). I’ve also seen some comments on Alex’s role, I think he is our inner monologue asking valid questions and making points that may have been overlooked and not discussed, if we didn’t have an active listener there recording with Stef and he adds a lot. I love true crime and have heard a lot of these stories before, especially the crime survival stories but this podcast tells it from a different perspective then most other outlets and I will be disappointed once I get through all of the episodes.

The way he talks is a little passive aggressive. I can do without him.

No one listen to the negative reviews!!! They are so inaccurate, take a listen yourself! The details in the true stories told are descriptive and have you hanging on your seat, and the commentary I LOVE because it’s usually exactly what I’m thinking or wanting to say and it adds some lightheartedness (like a little breather) to the intensity of the story that is told. If I had a survival story, I would want it to be told by Steph and Alex for sure :)

I drive tractor for 8hrs a day; podcasts are a lifesaver. I absolutely love your Reddit episodes. And I’m defense of Alex, I really enjoy your level headed to Steph’s emotion. It’s a fun dynamic. And you’ve both improved a lot since earlier episodes, implementing changes requested by reviews.

Alex interrupts way too much and it takes away from the story. He tries to be funny but his questions make him seem simple minded! Drop him from the show!! You are better off alone!He keeps interrupting her and then it takes away

From the first episode, you have evolved in both storytelling and humor. You bring these survivors to life, bringing feelings of admiration for their spirit and bravery, along with laughter and smiles to break the tension. I look forward to listening each week-keep up the great work.

Steph & Alex play perfectly off of each other. I feel like all the questions asked are ones I’m thinking about as the stories get told. I love the raw emotions they embrace as they talk and the fun they have with each other. The stories often leave my jaw unhinged.

I like the stories. But Alex doesn’t really add any depth with his questions. In fact, he more or less interrupts the flow of the story, like someone in a movie always asking questions. Please stick to golf.

Admittedly, I like the episodes better that have both Steph and Alex hosting. But even the episodes with just Steph are wonderful. I absolutely love her tone of voice. One thing I find very unique about her - she’s such a great storyteller. There’s enthusiasm and drama without being over the top. I feel like so many podcasts nowaday are either really dry, or completely forced. This one is not. It’s right in the middle of that spectrum - where it should be! Great to listen to, exciting, educational, and sometimes just plain silly. Overall, it’s such a refreshing pace when it comes to podcasts. Highly recommend!

I love this podcast and it’s even better when Alex joins in. Steph’s voice is perfect for podcasting. But please, don’t be political. I come here for the stories. No matter what your view is politically, you will alienate 1/2 your audience. I can listen to the news or other podcasts if I want to hear political stuff. Stick to the stories and don’t push an agenda. I want to keep listening bc you guys are great.

This is by far my favorite true crime podcast, and I’ve listened to them all. From MFM to Gen Why, Anatomy of Crime to Dateline, none truly compare to Not Today. The stories of survival are so refreshing when you are used to the cold preface of murder. Add this to the top of your list and get your true crime fix without such depressing undercurrents. Because they SURVIVED. 10/10 wb

I love this podcast but today during their episode about amusement park deaths and injuries there were ads for an upcoming amusement park event. I thought it was a joke at first. Alas, no, but I love this show and look forward to every new drop.

steph and Alex are great at telling stories together! Just listened to the latest episode on rollercoasters and years ago when my friends and I were at magic mountain in Valencia California we were on some big coaster and a pack of gum flew out of someone’s pocket and nailed my friend in the head. We laughed about it and of course he was ok but it definitely could have been worse if it were maybe a cellphone or something more solid.

I’ve been listening since the beginning and I’ve grown to love this podcast and the hosts. I miss Alex on the episodes he’s not on, I enjoy his commentary and often share his thoughts/questions. Keep up the good work, guys!!

I always enjoyed MFM, love that there’s a survival pod with the same format. So glad that Alex is back, ignore the haters.

…But I want this pod to absolutely take off because I love it so much! What’s not to love? I get tips on how to stay alive in all types of desperate situations, inspiring stories of what people do after becoming survivors, and witty banter from a very lovable duo. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

The banter between these two is hilarious!! I laugh so hard, all the time!

Love this podcast but please Alex, educate yourself about bear spray. It is both necessary and effective in bear county and more reliability effective than a firearm. Maybe listen to a few episodes of Tooth and Claw with bear biologist Wes Larson who discusses bear spray at length.

Ugh.. very uninspired and hard to listen to. The hosts commentary is awful. They read Wikipedia and joke around. Very very very bad.
