This has always been the greatest paranormal haunted places podcast!!!! It’s a staple for US there in podcast land. If You consistently put out an Hour, and hour and a half show’s… Everyone that listens to podcasts would download again. This is a favorite out there.

Production is not bad but the narrator injects Leftist ideology into the stories. That’s distracting and stupid.

I love this podcast. It is well written and well read. But it’s moving exclusively to Spotify. I will not be manipulated to using their product. I want to choose the podcast product that is most convenient for me. So I will be saying farewell to this and the other 3 Spotify podcasts I have been enjoying. So don’t bother getting all enamored with this one. So long, thanks.

Might be noted that the timeline suggests the author lived through the Great Hunger in Ireland before moving to America. Watching thousands of men, women and children starve to death while they, in desperation, ate grass off the land that had recently been stolen from them probably influenced his “haunted” nature.

I throughly enjoy this series

I enjoy the podcast but it is moving exclusively to Spotify.

I like all of their podcasts, but I don’t currently plan to move to Spotify. Very disappointed. I guess I’ll start looking for alternatives now.

Yet another show that is moving to Spotify only. I am so sick of Spotify trying to manipulate what podcatcher I use. Don’t get started listening to this one because it is just going to disappear. :( And no, Spotify, I am not going to start using your product.

These stories are great, and are told by an even better host. But seriously, don’t move the podcast to exclusively be on Spotify. People won’t follow you there. Why download another app for a half hour of content a week? Joe Rogan has the most popular podcast in the world, with hours of content EVERYDAY, and his viewership fell off a cliff when he made the move. It’s a bad business decision, limiting your fan base for cash up front.

The voice actor can’t research the correct pronunciation of foreign words? Particularly the episodes with Japanese names/towns..

Makes me want to travel and visit these places. Several are actually close to me.

I love the stories they’re interesting and the voice is easy on the ears lol. However the episodes are short and the commercials seem to take up a lot of time. You have them in the beginning middle and end and each time they’re between 2-3 minutes. I get you need your sponsors but maybe you could add to the stories or make the episodes longer and the commercial breaks wouldn’t seem so bad.

I started listening because I’m a huge fan of Parcast and their Ghost Stories series. I was immediately hooked!!!. My only complaint, I wish the episodes were longer because I could listen to them all day. Alastair Murden is an absolutely wonderful storyteller and brings life to these stories. I also love the explanations of the story and their authors at the end, it helps put a new perspective on these stories for a simpleton like me. LOVE, LOVE LOVE!!!!

Just started listening and am already through 4 episodes! I have a book of Victorian Ghost Stories sitting in my living room and this podcast reminds of the stories from my book! I love the little history of the author and the story given at the end of each episode!!! It’s just fantastic!!!!

Its a great story however the ads completely ruins the mood. Such a shame as this could be a great podcast but you ruined the mood with your ads.

Normally, I love this podcast and listen to another podcast by the same host. However, the attempt at what I’m assuming is an “American” accent by Alastair throughout this episode was too distracting. It’s like a caricature. I couldn’t finish the episode.

I love the spooky stories and the host’s voice is perfect for a good ghostly tale. Keeps me on the edge of my seat and coming back for more. Thank you for the wonderful distractions 😀

This is one of my top 5 favorite Podcasts! The stories are great and I love the histories behind them as well. This is one of the only podcasts I immediately listen to as soon as an episode comes out.

I like haunted places, but this one feels a little bit more like masturbatory descriptions of gore. Not much storyline involved.

I discovered this podcast during October, when I was looking for Halloween-themed content, and I have been enjoying it ever since. Alastair's voice is perfect for this genre, and I love hearing stories that I otherwise would never discover. I hope this podcast never ends.

So far these stories have been great fun. "The Kit Bag" is an absolute gem of story telling and atmosphere. I absolutely love how they enhanced the "School Story" episode. Great narration as well. Looking forward to this every week now.

Reminiscent of the reader of the Harry Potter books which we love. Alistair is very talented and you can tell he enjoys story telling. This makes the stories even more enjoyable.

I cannot believe the gall you have in rewriting one of the genres best stories. A School Story is one of M R James best and it is chock full of chills and creeps. Please listen to Ghost Stories of an Antiquary read by Derek Jacobi for what is a proper telling. How dare you!

I listened to an episode and about 20-25 minutes through I realized how bored I’d been with the episode. Textbook British voice. Unimpressive in my personal opinion.

Great choice of stories— appropriate length and excellent style. I love that it’s mostly story and not a lot of unnecessary sound effects. Classic & not campy. Highly entertaining podcast!
