    I tried
I love Vanity Fair, so I decide to give this podcast a try. I just find it pretentious, overly casual and honestly sometimes I’ve no idea what they’re even talking about. During this episode, they were discussing how the Gen z sexual experience is “disembodied “– OK you have officially lost me. I will stick to the print edition.

    Conscious, educated, persons…
Call a perv a perv. Woody Allen hooked up with his adopted daughter!!! He is literally married to her. Yuck!!! And why are you pretending otherwise?

    Light while it lasted
It was light, adult, self reflexively crass, trans Atlantic sleaze. It’s not even thatx when the z!onist shill came out in both hosts that was most disparaging (frankly are we barely surprised?) - it’s the total adult-bully that came out after the z!onist shift. And you can’t help but erk on any topic the hosts speak to after. If you’re a long time listener, you know it. Unfortunate but we live in a ruthless world. What’re you gonna do…

    Addicted! ☕️💯
I listen to every episode every week without fail, which is a pattern of behavior that applies to no other podcast. Ashley and Michael are beyond lovely, and the correspondents they bring in provide brilliant entertainment with decades of knowledge of their worlds. Couldn’t love it more. Kudos to Graydon Carter yet again.

    Get over Trump
When I first discovered Morning Meeting, I listened to every episode on a long car drive. But now, every episode & many guests blah, blah, blah over Donald Trump’s every move. Get over him!
  • Gladiola1
Jensen Davis- good heavens, what a horrible guest!
…. “Like”... “in the bookstores in NY”…. “I’m not religious and I’m not a parent, but I will speak to a parenting movement”.. please, no more Jensen Davis…
  • Horrible guest
    Disgusting
These people had no qualms about having a woman, Jill Kargman, who’s posting dehumanizing, disgusting content and language on her Instagram about Palestinians while they’re being subjected to genocide, on their show. Airmail’s Instagram account is following hers, so no doubt that they are aware and absolutely unbothered by her peddling lies and cheering on while people were being ethnically cleansed as they recorded the show. Would they have an antisemite using the same language she uses for Palestinians for Jewish people, or for any other people for that matter, on their show? Utterly disgusting.

    Gay Talese interview
After listening to this I bought his new book. But more importantly I listened to it over and over again. He’s an amazing speaker and Michael had the good sense to just let him roll. A master class in journalism in that 10-15 minute interview. Thanks! Loved it!!!

    Great guests & stories.
Michael’s a great host & Ashley embodies charisma, uniqueness, nerve & talent. Though when it comes to humility, Michael’s a can-do & she’s a cant. Love the articles & guests.

    Callow and Sands badly served
Terribly ill informed and clumsily spoken by vulgar hosts

    Painful
I wanted to like this podcast, but Ashley is painfully affected and pretentious.

    The best
Morning Meeting is the perfect mix of culture, news and witty banter by the lovely hosts, Ashley and Michael. I find myself going back to old episodes just to listen to all the wonderful tidbits from the various editors that they call upon. Look no further for the perfect podcast.

    Head scratcher
Is the Alan Richman episode an SNL sketch? Le Bernardin as the only cheap eats restaurant recommendation in all of NYC?! Wild.

Just another political rag disguised under culture
I was so excited to find Air Mail and Morning Meeting! An alleged non-political, culturally focused magazine with interesting stories about London libraries and New York barbershops. The exact content I craved as an intelligent, apolitical woman. Next thing I know, Brian Stelter is a guest host and Ashley is making reference to the Trump indictment literally with glee. Ugh, another content source down the drain. NEWS FLASH, Ashley: I’m not at all a Trump fan but there are hundreds of thousands of us who care absolutely nothing about Trump or, more importantly, your feelings about him, and who you alienate by referencing him. No mention of our disastrous current economy but always, always mention of Trump. It’s lazy and ridiculous. You lost a listener and Air Mail lost a subscriber very sadly (and an Air Mail promoter which, if you know anything about NPS scores, you’d know that’s hard to find).

Desperate Armie Hammer episode is transparent and deplorable
    Thumbs firmly down

    Disappointing in almost every way
I had great hope that Morning Coffee (and Airmail in general) was going to be a breathe of fresh air. All I have found so far is a podcast with two hosts that make me want to toss my headphones. Their voices are rough to listen to for a whole episode and they relate nothing of real consequence. The last episode on Armie Hammer sealed my choice of unsubscribing to both Airmail and the podcast. Both had such potential and were so disappointing.

    A Weekly Treat
Short and sweet. I look forward to Morning Meeting every week for a dose of grownup trends in media, fashion, and events and the lowdown on something interesting that an investigative reporter has discovered.
  • ChargingDC
    Decent
The podcast itself is decent enough. I like that it’s available every Saturday morning for company on my coffee run. However, can you get off President Trump already? He’s enjoying some rent-free living in the minds of both hosts. It’s embarrassing and at a level of obsession.
  • TalentedRedhead
    Douglas McGrath is an Imbecile
The hatred for President Trump is not fact based. You vault Liz Chaney because she has attacked our president. The reality is she is a horrible person and not a leader. Overwhelmingly her constituents are rejecting her. She has done nothing for them. A Cheney won’t bring Trump down no matter how hard they try.

    Joy!
This 30 minutes is a charming, little dream come true. Ashley and Michael remind me every Saturday there isn’t just BAD news out there. We can all still have a little fun. Thank you.
  • Kmossc
    Perfect new addition!
This podcast is so great! These are stories you aren’t hearing anywhere else and Michael and Ashley antidotes make me giggle. Thank you for bringing joy to my weekends!
  • Marsupial23442
Great podcast, but sound quality lacking
This is a very good podcast, with lots of interesting guests and perspectives. The banter between Ashley and Michael is obviously genuine, and I love the topics and guests they bring up every week. My problem with the podcast is that Michael and Ashley sound like they're recording this from a Zoom conversation. I completely understand why they're on zoom, but each of them should be recording a local copy on their computer, then having an editor/producer stitch the two sides together into one podcast. That's my only gripe! Podcast is great, and would be brilliant if they thought about the listener with headphones suffering from the poor production.

    Saturday morning joy
Morning Meeting is now such a part of my Saturday morning routine. Listening to Ashley & Michael while I fire up the espresso machine brings me much happiness!
  • JMacPrez
    One Issue
Smart and funny. One issue, which explains the three stars: Michael Hainey is impossible to understand. He speaks in a whisper, while Ashley Baker speaks clearly and fairly loudly. At times, although I’m enjoying listening, I end up tuning out because it’s too annoying to constantly fiddle with the audio in a vain attempt to hear and understand what Michael just said.

    Drink Everytime Ashley says "Micheal"
Micheal is cool but Asheley is annoying and pretentious. Please stop saying "Micheal" constantly.
  • Dance Anywhere
    Slick Perfect
Smooth and challenging, occasionally brutal, always kind, honest, bright, chic. I LOVE this podcast (and the Saturday e-news).
  • iheartMB2
It’s become a great Saturday morning routine
Saturday mornings are a lot more interesting hanging out with Michael & Ashley. Smart, funny, informed and urbane.

    Great content, terrible hosts
I find the hosts insufferable. They make inane, terribly unfunny comments and have unpleasant voices (important considering the task at hand). Listening to these two you wouldn’t believe we are in one of the worst job markets since the Great Depression. At least the subjects they discuss (surely by no choice of their own) are interesting.

    Dreadful
Dreadful - the worst aspects of white privilege on display. A podcast SPY magazine would have ridiculed. Makes a good case for Isis.

Witty, intelligent podcast on current news
Michael & Ashley host this great podcast discussing topics from modern culture & politics to more lighthearted banter. As someone who grew up in NYC but now lives in Barcelona/London, this podcast keeps me up to date not only on New York current topics, but the intelligent & thoughtful way that New Yorkers view the world. Love it!

    It takes two...
Michael and Ashley are the Watson and Crick of podcasting! Only now can the medium advance in the way it’s meant to. They are a seriously smart, entertaining duo, working in harmony like a double helix. If you’re not listening to every episode, what are you doing?

    So fun and refreshing
I listen to a variety of podcasts and this is by far the most fun and relevant. The topics are engaging and the way Ashley and Michael deliver the news is refreshing. With so much gloom and doom going on, their intelligent banter is a great reminder of how much else is gong on in this world. The perfect compliment to AirMail- love it!
