Grants podcasts are great.

I first came to know Grant Napear when he was the on-air play by play broadcaster for the Sacramento Kings for KRBK Channel 31 in the late 1980s. For so many years he has offered passionate and concise sports commentary for all things sports both on television and on his daily afternoon drive sports radio talk show in the greater Sacramento metropolitan area. Grant’s overall connection, which has developed to including philanthropic endeavors, shows to me that he genuinely cares about people thriving and has a record of creating ways to help young people have a bright future by creating scholarships to help deserving students go to college. For his entire career to come to and end the way it did was an unspeakable act perpetrated by a media company and professional sports organization that showed no loyalty and no honor to what Grant has built for the betterment of the sports fan base who live in the greater Sacramento metropolitan market. I hope his sports podcast thrives to the point of being the best sports talk podcast ever. Keep going Grant, you’re just getting started ! “PUT IT IN THE BOOKS!”

Grant gives raw ethical rant based on who and what you need to hear but in the back of your mind don’t wanna pay attention he’s killing the game and industry was done horrible by Kings organization Sports 1140 and and comcast sports pay attention folks not gonna find anyone better Grant keep pushing sir radio needs ya back

Hi Grant, I listened to your show today and towards the end, you asked your audiences to write a review. So here you go. I’ve been a huge fan of yours for about 35 years. Back then you were the radio play by play. I loved your voice. You had the most powerful voice. You are one of the most genuine sports personality. You are not afraid to call star players out even though you knew it would jeopardize your relationships. You had disagreements with Mitch Richmond towards the latter parts of his Kings tenure. You had a beef with Chris Webber for being too sensitive. With Demarcus Cousins you always call him out for being a selfish player. I was heartbroken the day I heard you were suspended and subsequently resigned over saying All Lives Matter which to me is completely not discriminatory. What a miscarriage of justice. That turned your life upside down. It’s a classic example of bad things happen to good people. Demarcus Cousins also got karma afterwards because he never had a meaningful playing career. I wish he would have the guts to apologize to you on air for ruining your great career. At the end, I wish one day I could hear your voice again on the national level. All the best.

Grant, love your show for a long time. Good to be able listen to the podcast anywhere. Better than the radio. You are the #1 in Sac area. I also love you to fight the injustice. 2023 USWNT is embarrassing. Not sure what games Biden watched. I don’t like to mix sports and politics. Good show.

Grant for years was on KHTK hosting sports talk. His model was that of the late shock show host Joe Pyne. Grant would accept calls from callers between his monologues on the days sports. Many of the callers were asked to step into the ring in their panties. (Grant’s version of the shout box). These folks jousted to their detriment with Grant before they were labeled imbeciles and idiots and then asked to take a hike. His online presence no longer has the verbal confrontations that Grant had on radio. This provides him an opportunity to share his extensive sports knowledge and experiences with his audience. I find his current podcasts a step above the shouting matches of television and radio sports talk hosts. Most of his guests have been interesting and more open than they might be on the public airwaves.

Grant is by far one the best sports commentator around. You might always not agree on his take, but it always comes from an educated point. I’ve been listening to Grant for years. He was wrongfully terminated from khtk.

Grant brings the same teaspoon-deep analysis and ginned-up anger that pock-marked his Sacramento radio show to his self-aggrandizing podcast. Sad. Grant, get some help. Please.

Grant has sports knowledge and insight that spans a 32 year career as a HOF style Play by Play announcer for the Sacramento Kings. He brings honest and fair analysis. Grant is an amazing interviewer and fabulous storyteller. Grant brings common sense to sports and real life issues. A must listen!!

Grant is THE best source for kings basketball news and highlights. He was the kings play by play for 32 years and has insight and knowledge thats unparalleled to others. Hes one of the greats…. A legend.

I’m listening to Grant and his guest say our country is divided and that everything is now politicized. I just wanted to remind him that this was not the case before Trump. Yet Grant never mentions his fellow Floridian. And since this show is not as much as a sport’s show as simply right wing rants, with sports mixed in, my comment is apropos.

Grant is always on top of major sports stories and has a great variety of topics,,, he interacts with his callers in a professional manner he has a diverse audience

Grant first off I listen to your show for the last 10 years and I found it to be informative for the sports fan and Sacramento Kings fan. The issue today is that there is different forms of racism and to completely ignore the ones that the systems is use to is still a form of systemwide racism. I do not believe you (Grant) look at the colors of someone’s skin and make judgements on them. What I do see is the benefit of doubt that you give to certain people. The fact that a minorities for years have to work twice as hard to be given the same breaks as white male counterparts is system racism. The rules are not equal because if it was it would be equal amount of Team Owners, GM, and Coaches across the board in every field. The ratio of minority players is what the ratio of Owners, GM, and Coaches should be equal too. The fact that some minorities don’t have the drive to work twice as counterparts is the reason so many give in to the systems the way it was designed. The American systems is designed for white males to succeed first and everyone else to become second. The statement of All Lives Matter is used to deny that facts about Black Lives Matter movement doesn’t need to exist but in reality until there are equal playing fields system racism will continue to exists. Grant tells it like it is. He is so missed in Sactramento, but glad to see him with a national voice. Never dull listening to him and his guests.

Grant shares a real honest perspective on Josh Gordon’s attempt to return. Didn’t we learn from Steve Howe in baseball? Thanks for being real and not afraid to share an honest opinion.

Listened to Grant as a resident of Sacramento for years. I felt he protected a poor franchise in the Sacramento Kings while employed by the team and local radio station. Today’s Show is the future of sports talk. Grant tells it like it is and gives the listener a fair representation of all parties involved. It’s a great show. He got screwed by a weak NBA owner and organization. Chris Christy could have and should have supported Grant and this will haunt him forever.

I have been listening to Grant since I was little with my dad! When i joined the Navy i would listen to him every chance i could get overseas. He really helped make deployments go smoother. Keeping me connected with the Kings and home. I was bummed when he was taken off the air. However, now he is back! I love it!! Way more accessible as a fan who is usually out of the country or the Sacramento area. Love his point of view! Love his guest on the podcast! Keep it up Grant! Thanks for continuing to share your wisdom and point of view with us! I truly appreciate it and love hearing it from others i look up too.

Love the podcast, it’s so nice too just relax and get away from reality for a while. I’ve been listening to Grant for over 20 years, one of the best in my opinion. Miss him calling the kings games but it’s awesome too still be able too here him on this podcast. This country is totally changing with this cancel culture. It takes away a lot of the best people we have to escape with. So happy I have now found a place I can listen to Grant again.

Hi grant I enjoy the podcast. Would you ever consider taking live calls like the old 1140 show? Lots of other podcasts do it, you just have to tweet out the window when people should call in and record the calls. It would be good to hear from the old regular callers like Stanley in Roseville. Grant Napear is on fire! That is one of the incredible lines I grew to love when Grant was calling the Sacramento Kings games. Grant has picked up where he left off on the radio. I miss listening on my commute home. But catching these Podcast whenever I can has been so much fun. Grant has always appreciated the fans and the city in more ways than one. I’ll never forget what might have been the last game called when the team nearly moved to Seattle. Grant and Jerry were moved to tears and so were so many of us fans. I’m so thankful I got to meet Grant and his wife Starr back in 2020. They are wonderful people. Thanks for keeping it going with these Podcast, Grant.

I’ve been listening to Grant since 2002 on his radio show, yes he was rude to some of his callers who weren’t educated but in a humorous way, I listen to him on my way to work when I worked day shift, and on my way home from work on podcast when I went to swing shift. He is the most passionate talk show guy I’ve ever heard in my life. I have not listened to KHTK since he was fired on June 1st of 2020. His podcast is top shelf he is funny, educational, and very passionate. Especially about social issues we have around the world and cancel culture.I’ve leaned so much from him I will listen to him as long as he has a voice great Job Grant keep up the good work.

I’ve always admired Grants knowledge of and passion for sports. I listed to him daily on KHTK. I had two complaints about him during his KHTK days and this podcast has eliminated both of them. Grant could be very rude and condescending to callers who disagreed with him. That’s gone with this podcast and Grant seems to be a grateful and good guy. Second, Grant was a Kings employee when he was on KHTK and couldn’t bad mouth anyone associated with the team even though they deserved it. Especially Vlade and Vivek who were horrible. I am a huge fan of the new Grant and this podcast, and conversely have abandoned the Kings and KHTK for their stupid weak decision to bow to the social justice group and dump a talented sports commentator.

Grant Napear is a legend in sports talk radio and with this podcast, you’ll get an even more authentic version of him. If you have thin skin and want vanilla, candy-coated takes, go somewhere else, but if you want over 30 years of experience and deep knowledge of the Sacramento Kings, the NBA, NFL, the PGA Tour and more, subscribe and listen.

It is hard to be a successful NBA announcer for a mostly unsuccessful NBA team. Grant is the blueprint for how to do it. Now that he's no longer the voice of the Kings I must say that there is a void in the enthusiasm and passion of the broadcasts. Grant was/is Sacramento's Marv Albert, and his Podcast is a great way to stay connected to him. His interview w/ Dusty Baker has been my personal favorite. Grant loves sports and it shows. Glad he has a format to connect w/his audience every day.

Grant’s first episode is one of the most eloquent commentaries yet made regarding the neo-McCarthy Cancel Culture infesting our society. Without his radio show, Grant relies on listeners to write their questions and comments to him; since he can cull them, this improves the show’s format. His guests are superlative.
