Found this and are now bingeing episodes! They do a deep dive into cases and do it with humor. Love the banter.

I stumbled on this podcast because I was thinking about the old Todville house (I’m from Clear Lake) and Kristin and Mogab did a great job covering it. I’m binging back episodes now. They are entertaining and informative- great for my commute!

They stole the music and format of Wife of Crime Podcast. I was a fan until I stumbled across the Wife of Crime Podcast and realized they copied the style and intro music down to the true crime newbie as Russ is. Pathetic.

I used to enjoy this pod cast, but the intro gets longer and longer every time. You have to fast forward 15 minutes to get to the actual story because they talk so much about themselves. Also, I wish Mogab would stop interrupting Kristin every 5 seconds, talking about herself constantly, it’s kind of annoying.

As a middle-aged mom from New England who was never in a sorority or has stepped foot in TX, I have little in common with them. And yet, I adore them both. Smart, witty, tons of chemistry and well-researched. So happy that I stumbled upon the show (and have become a patron). Rooting for Kristin and Mogab!

I’ve been listening to Kristin and Mogab since the beginning and they are truly the best. Their chemistry is perfect and makes for one of the most unique “murder podcasts” I have found. Kristin is the True Crime fanatic, who does the deep dive into each case and, each week, tells the whole story to Mogab, a True Crime Newbie who hasn’t heard any of them. Considering Mogab openly admits to having no interest in true crime prior to TCC, it is mind blowing how flawlessly she slips into the roles of both the audience AND co-host. Even if you enjoy true crime and have a decent understanding of investigative procedures, you’re still likely to learn something new nearly every week because Mogab asks questions you may have never considered and Kristin has the answers (or can usually find them)! Most importantly, for me, podcasts with one narrator or two true crime obsessed hosts can be heavy, grisly, and even a little elitist, assuming the listener is already in on the details of the case or is proficient in police procedure/laws. The formula for TCC- a fanatic & a newbie- works so well here because Kristin brilliantly unfolds each case like a mystery novel and we get to experience it right alongside Mogab, who is able to help keep the journey from getting too dark with her bright humor, optimism, and empathy. While she often jokes that she was dragged into this role as co-host kicking and screaming, it’s her novice status and quick wit that make her exactly the right person for this job! In summation, I really appreciate the fine balance of sensitivity to the victim and families with the delightful banter, insightful conversations, and blatantly hilarious honesty (Kristin WILL let you know if some of her sources are “40% accurate and Mogab WILL have the best takes). Give them a listen. Then go ahead and binge. Finally, hop on Patreon and enjoy SO much bonus content. xoxo, Crys B.

I loved this podcast initially but I got tired immediately because Kristin keeps picking cases that have been done ad nauseam. It’s like she doesn’t know what to discuss and goes to other true crime podcasts and picks cases from there. She keeps doing cases Let’s Go To Court has done and doing deep dives on cases like West Memphis Three and Maura Murray that everyone has already discussed. Please stick with lesser known cases like Juliane Koepcke or Helen Hagnes Mintiks.

But I just can’t anymore. I love(d) the girls for a long time…until i finally went back and listened to the Scott Peterson schlock they tried to package and release. So many things Kristin left out of misreported. It was really angering and hard to listen to. It gives me a reason to reflect on some other interesting takes I’ve heard from the pod, and in this new light of questioning their info, I can’t say I’m as into their episodes anymore. Sad day for me as I absolutely loved this pod at first. :(

My oldest son was 2. We were neighbors. They were one street up from us. Right by the church. I remember not being able to get in and out of the neighborhood for like a month.

The best true crime podcast out there! I literally laugh out loud on every episode. They are the perfect pair and tell these stories with detail, but also the side comments are just too funny. Love it!

Listening to this podcast is like hanging out with your two favorite, funniest friends. The rapport between the two is genuine and fun. The insights into their lives makes you feel a part of the friend group. The laughter?! The T-Swizzle fangirling?! The TRUE CRIME?! This podcast is perfect for people like me and Mogab (nosy with the lights on) because you get the facts of the crime, but the banter between the hosts allows you to sleep peacefully at night. True crime, tangents, and Taylor Swift, what more could you ask for?

Kristin does great research and is a great story teller. I don’t mind the banter, but I get annoyed when Mogab plays the dumb, ditzy role. I don’t know if it’s an act or not, but sometimes it’s just too much.

I found this podcast at the begining of 2024 and was a bit hesitant at first. I generally do not enjoy banter, but somehow these two hosts have overcome my contempt of that - for the most part. The problem with banter is that you sometimes find out stuff about hosts that you really seem to like that makes them - less likeable. For example, it boggles my mind how many true crime podcasts I listen to where the hosts are, appropriately and obviously against murder but they can't stop talking about all the ways they exploit animals without being aware they're doing it. They have dogs or cats who they love, and they eat pigs, cows, chickens, and others. They go to rodeos, which are really horrifically barbaric activities. (Yes, I have been to some and gone backstage to document bull riding, and it was horrible. An injured calf with a broken leg wasn't even worth attention). So, the less I know about the hosts' personal lives, the better. I love the way Kristin narrates the episodes. I like her and Mogab's point of view about everything other than animals. I really wanted to give this podcast 5 stars but as I binged, aside from the issue with animals, I found that she covers a lot of the same crimes as other podcasts do. Please, I have listened to The Girl in the Blue Mustang from Dateline. I don't want a rehash, no matter how good you are (and you are good!). Please find some different things. Unfortunately, there are plenty to choose from. AND it would be nice to see a true crime podcast perhaps focus on hate crimes during pride month. Unfortunately these happen a lot. (I have a Greek one for you, Zak Kostopoulos). So there is a lot to love about this - I mean, Kristin does a fantastic job of presenting the cases. The banter is actually fun (waffle house? If you're not talking about eggs and sausages, I'm here for it!) aside from the animal cruelty stuff. But covering crimes that have recently been covered by other venues doesn't seem the best move to me, and I have started skipping some, which disappoints me. But they're overdone. How many times can you listen to something about Jodi Arias? Uh, for me none. (I get it, everyone has different preferences and so on. I will listen to everything I can find about Lindsay Buziak and Lisa Young because those are so creepy! And that guy, Brandon Something? who disappeared from his truck on a Texas highway). So not every kind of case is for everyone. But if another podcast has done it and done it well, perhaps find another case. Sadly, there are plenty to go around.

I recently discovered this podcast while looking for podcast on a certain topic. After listening to that episode I went back to the beginning and started from episode one, I’m on 30 something now. You girls are so relatable and this has quickly became one of my favorites.

I love listening to podcasts while I clean, drive, or get ready. I found the girls about two weeks ago and I have NON-STOP binged! Mogab is so funny and her one liners are well placed. Kristin researches so well and you can tell she really cares about and puts so much time into her work. I love these two and it has been so fun to learn their personalities and hear about things going on in their lives. I also really appreciate how they treat victims with respect and are very conscious of writing the narrative the right way. Awesome job, girls!

I just love this podcast! It’s so hard to find a podcast that doesn’t make you sleepy during long drives, but this is the one! There’s more than just crimes, there’s also very funny banter and commentary to the crimes. I make everyone listen to this podcast and have gotten so many people hooked as well. This is why Thursday is my favorite day of the week.

This podcast has gone down hill. It use to be my favorite and it's getting OLD! We don't need to hear after every name is spoken in every story " I'm not sure if I pronounced this right" if you're truly concerned about it, google it. I haven't finished a whole episode since the end of last year.

I’d been looking for the right true crime podcast that isn’t too dark or too speculative and when I ran across TCC on TikTok a couple months ago, I started listening immediately. I binge the back catalogue every day during work and have listened to a full year’s worth now! Kristen and Mogab offer the perfect mix of humor and research in their storytelling!

Love this podcast! I’ve tried them all and this is my new favorite. Currently binging them all! Highly recommend for all true crime lovers.

This podcast is the best! I enjoy multiple true crime podcasts, but quickly realized this one was my favorite after an episode or two. The dynamic of one “expert” and one “newbie” is genius. Mogabs responses/reactions actually have my laughing out loud. Kristin obviously puts so much effort into researching and writing these cases, and have told some of the most detailed/put together cases I’ve ever heard. I stumbled across this podcast yesterday and I’ve found a new favorite! I think I’ve listened to 5 or 6 episodes already, and really love the writing & the banter. Kristin & Mogab are a refreshing change from some of the very monotone storytellers out there. I was cracking up when Mogab yelled, “Drain it!” (referring to the Atlantic Ocean) in the episode about Gail Bierenbaum. You girls are fabulous, keep it up!

This is my favorite podcast, hands down. The friendship between Kristin and Mogab really makes this podcast stand out against the rest. Love them!

I never leave reviews but they deserve it. At first I wasn’t sure if I liked the banter but I literally have listened to their entire catalog in a week (or less, I’m often alone at the office) and subscribed for their Patreon for bonus episodes and have been bingeing those. I really love this podcast. Even highly covered cases I thought I knew everything about, Kristen still finds a way to find information and give me a whole new set of facts I had never heard and literally give me a new opinion sometimes. She also doesn’t just cover true crime which I thought I wouldn’t like but actually really do. Mogab the other host who isn’t a true crime fanatic is so hilarious. I find myself cracking up with them so often which I personally like cause this genre gets dark. It doesn’t take away from the victims and isn’t done in unnecessary places. I also love that Kristen doesn’t divulge or elaborate on particularly gruesome things that we really don’t need to know.

This is the best true crime show, the cases are good & well researched. Not to mention the hosts are awesome, love them both!!

Have been listening to Kristen and Mogab for a couple years now, and it’s hands down the only true crime podcast I get excited for every week! They are HILARIOUS and their cases are very interesting and not your typical overly covered cases. True crime creepers is a must listen to podcast.

Kristen and Mogab are my favorite true crime podcasters. Kristin writes and tells the stories and Mogab reacts and I know that simplifies it, but you have to listen to understand how magical that chemistry is.

Kristen is such a great story teller. You can tell how much she wants to do these episodes right by the amount of research that is involved. Mogab makes me laugh with questions and reactions to the information that Kristen is giving us. I especially enjoy that Samantha gives us a glimpse into her life and life with Russell and Burksie Boy.

Love the podcast! This NJ mom (hey Russell hey) looks forward to my Thursday morning commute. Maybe too much because sometimes I wait until the podcast is over before strolling into work a little late. Kristen and Mogab’s chemistry is so genuine. It feels like I am catching up with friends and sprinkling in some current events and true crime during the chat. Kristen has the best laugh. I started listening when they were about 50 episodes in and now I’m true crime obsessed. When I caught up to the latest episode I started looking for other podcasts and was disappointed. There really isn’t another like this. These two are my favorite to listen to as I can tell only the story is scripted. Thank you both for helping me get through busy weeks and providing me a fake social life - friends to gab with between meetings. Keep it up ladies!

This is my most favorite podcast that I can binge listen all day at work. They are tastefully playful with their back-and-forth banter, but also not annoying and have their side conversations take over the whole podcast.
