    Great podcast!
I found this podcast when I needed insight and direction as a gay man. Many know it’s an ongoing challenge to work through many issues unique to our community, and often I feel alone in dealing with them. I wanted vulnerable, honest conversations, and the podcast has been so encouraging. I’m thankful for their perspectives and I appreciate their hearts so much.

    Wonderful show - love it
Thank you guys for this show. I love that it covers such a wide range of topics, but always ties it back to gay men. There’s room for other identities, etc. but the main audience is clear. Also, I appreciate that the hosts are consistent overtime about maintaining certain values and commitments in how and what they talk about. For example, if the topic goes to sex, there’s no cheap ‘bottom shaming’ joke thrown in just for laughs. It isn’t all super serious, there are lite moments (and maybe we could use a few more light hearted episodes mixed in), but I appreciate that there’s some level of professionalism and consistency with those values like acceptance. Thanks for the show, and I hope you keep producing episodes for a long time coming!

    pseudo intellectuals
The hosts often talk in circles, specifically reno & the hosts almost never ask for clarity. the egos here are massive, yet they’d like you to believe otherwise. the body shaming episode is so ironic, one of the hosts opens it with praising the other hosts body & then they discuss not putting certain figures on a pedestal.. i mean come on. the addiction & recovery episodes are blatantly irresponsible, i cannot believe some of the things that came out of the addiction counselors mouth. these peoples ego is front & center but they are seemingly unaware of it. it’s obvious by their titles as “life coaches” that they truly see themselves as an authority on how to live, yet they themselves admit that they cannot maintain their own sobriety. do better.

    An Indispensable Gay Men’s Podcast
I’m a relatively new listener, but I’ve quickly become a regular. I am truly impressed by this podcast for the quality, depth, and quantity of coverage of Gay men’s self-improvement topics. This group of experienced Gay men’s counselors also has a great website called The Gay Men’s Brotherhood, at gaymensbrotherhood.com, and a great Facebook group of the same name that is full of simply awesome gay men. I can’t recommend this podcast enough for any gay man who struggles and is looking for guidance. The related Facebook group, where these podcasts are often discussed, is a place where gay men respect each other and friendships can blossom.

I was really hopeful about this in the beginning
because it seemed to be an honest and helpful discussion of lots of relevant topics to gay men. But the more i listened the more the hosts sounded like very self-righteous non-experts who rely almost entirely on the use of buzzwords and trendy but meaningless phrases. For example I found myself counting the number of times they said “space.” As in “creating a space for” or “opening a space” or “beautiful space.” In one episode a host sounded quite proud of his perceived ability to crush people with his witty cutting words, while trying to convince us that he was just so sad that he had such a powerful gift for being so dangerously witty. Puke. Their guests are never real experts but apparently just hacks. And Reno—he’s the worst. He has a real talent for saying lots of fluffy words and communicating absolutely nothing. He also repeats himself over and over. In all I think this podcast is a very good concept that’s very poorly executed.

    A start
The concept of this podcast is great as I think it tries to address very real issues in our community and help gay men get on their own healing journeys. I think Michael in particular offers the most practical and grounded advice throughout, and at this point I listen almost for him alone. The other presenters can, at times, come off as self-absorbed, mostly in the way that almost every episode feels like another opportunity for them to talk about themselves. I know deep down they aren’t bad people of course and I’ve come to enjoy and appreciate different aspects of all the hosts. However, the podcast could definitely improve with an ethos that is less ego-centered from the presenters themselves. If I could offer constructive criticism it would be to focus on offering more practical tips and providing more insightful questions for the listener to self reflect.

    Wonderful!
Thank you so much for this podcast and the brotherhood! We need more of this content in the gay community, as we’re all looking for love and connection but often don’t know how to go about it in a healthy way.

    Swimming in the deep end
I’ve been following Gay Men Going Deeper for at least a year on both Apple Podcasts and YouTube. It’s been an amazing journey, and have learned so much. This one is the real deal.

    A Welcome Addition
I found this podcast through the YouTube channel and found so much insight and wisdom. In a world flooded with self-help podcasts, it is so refreshing to find content focused on helping the gay community. Thank you for all you do GMB!

    Love yall + feedback
Matt and Michael: I so appreciate your vulnerability and ability to deeply connect with your community. The experiences you’ve shared are so relatable and needed from a healing perspective. Reno: the light you add to the show is great. However, I feel like your “light” sometimes presents as fluff—especially when you’re often omitting your shadows. For example: imagine someone with low self-esteem is trying to heal so they tune into the “how to feel sexy” episode. Do you think they would want to hear 20 minutes of you talking about how sexy and confident you are? I challenge you to look deeper at + share your shadows…that’s sexy.

    Great!
Definitely the best gay men’s podcast in the English-speaking world. The moderators are genuine, thoughtful and insightful. Always a pleasure to listen to.

I don’t discuss this podcast with my therapist so he doesn’t worry over job security.
I’m so grateful to have found this podcast! The conversation is always so insightful and inspiring. The guys discuss questions and situations that are so relatable to me and probably most anyone living or struggling with their gay experience in one way or another. Thank you guys for all you do!

    Best Podcast Ever
Y’all are literally the best podcast ever. Being a gay man and listening to all of y’all’s experiences. Are spot on with my own. It helps me with my own anxieties that I’ve gone through. And how to live my life as best as I can. To love who I am as a gay man. Y’all are basically the kind of therapy I’ve been needing. So thank you.

    Best podcast for me
This podcast is amazing. I have listened to other podcasts but they were sometimes straight cis men who didn’t get the view of lgbt+ people. This podcast is making me want to be a better me as a gay cis man. I feel like I’m in the room with the hosts and guests. I feel vulnerable and open when listening to this podcast. Thank you!

    Quickly became my favorite podcast
I have been a daily podcast listener for years and this podcast quality became my favorite podcast. The topics always resonate with me on a deep level.

    Unconscious narcissists
It's worth reading the episode titles and listening to the first few minutes to get a list of broad themes. After that, I would suggest relying on other resources (articles, books, experts) to explore those themes, because the hosts just go on to spout platitudes. They are painfully unaware of how self-absorbed they are. You'll find very little relatable material if you are not pretty, not middle-class, not self-employed, and not conformist. Any mention of self-improvement is a good thing, but this podcast doesn't finish the job.

Honestly, the content and discussions in these PC deserve 100 stars! ✨✨✨ I have listened to many PC, but the reality is that you only know if you know. Meaning to truly view the world through this lens, if you have been through the fire. 🔥 Truly grateful!!!

One of the Best Podcasts Out There
I discovered this podcast only recently and it is by far one of the best and most substantive podcasts for gay men. The host and panelists are always authentic, insightful, honest, current, and real. I wish all of these guys were my neighbors. Keep doing what you do and thank you!

    Open relationship
The open relationship and poly episodes have been so helpful. My partner and I have implemented our weekly communication check it to discuss needs, concerns, and to ensure we’re both feeling good about being open. I feel more love and closeness with my partner than before. And I get to eat the cake too! Now I just need help not being so obsessed with this other guy I’m having feelings for. Lots of Canadian accents in this podcast.

    Extremely insightful and informative.
As a gay providing individual therapy to our community; this podcast has been a true inspiration. Since discovering Gay Men Going Deeper I have referred many clients to the podcast. One of the best find of the year! Always aspire to be your authentic self and to be kind yourself and others.

    Just cant get into this.
I’ve given this podcast 6 months and I started back in the first season after every new episode; however, I just feel it sounds like entitled homosexuals talking about their problems and giving each other “aw honey” or “aw I love that for you”. Season 1 seemed to have the same personal stories repeated but maybe that’s because it was the first season and it was finding things to say. As a new 40 year old I just don’t seem to connect with any of the presenters in the dialogues. Maybe its just it at me and I’m not a typical homosexual 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Great new discovery!
I’ve been exploring Apple Podcasts more lately, looking for topics, information, and discussion, on matters relevant to gay men’s health and wellness. I found it right here. These guys are great. They share important information on a wide range of topics, in a lively, fun, educational, succinct, healthy, well rounded, nonjudgmental way. 5 stars and now I’m a subscriber! Thanks for the great content and awesome podcast!

Truly shocked but I’m immensely happy this podcast exists
Hello to all I’m deeply grateful this podcast exists because I’ve never get I belonged in the gay community. I also want to thank you for giving me the tools to recognize my blind spots in the some of the topics you discussed.

    Not Your Typical Gay Podcast
The topics on this podcast are relevant, informative, touching, and relatable. You get a sense that you are experiencing these topics WITH the hosts. If you want to feel safe and accepted, this is the podcast for you. A lot of gay men use self-deprecating humor in their podcasts, or take cheap shots at the gay community (their own community, actually) in order to boost their ego. You won’t find that here. You will find caring men who really want to help their listeners heal, grow, and thrive. No matter what the topic is, they dive deep and explore it from many different angles.
  • Blake012003
Best podcast I’ve ever listened to.
Amazing podcast. Amazing topics. Thank you for this.

    Literally my favorite podcast!
For me, my path to emotional maturity has been so.. so healing. I am finally seeing the direct link from my childhood (re: daddy issues) and my current relationships. (Thank god for therapy). This podcast is perfect compliment to my other work. I especially loved the episode on body image (using Sam Smith as way in). I talk about most of these topics with all my friends at dinner parties because this podcast helps me to process my current thoughts and better articulate it to MYSELF. Thank you so much.

    NEEDS SPRUCING UP…
I don’t remember how I found the pod but I like some of the conversations that work for me as a reminder and to refocus myself. I’ll be 54 next week. A lot of younger men certainly could use your guidance. With that said, you guys are so bland and clinical, it’s torture to listen. Sometimes it seems you’re unprepared or not quick enough to deal with a glitch. I’d suggest an acting class, improv class and maybe some yoga before recording/shooting. LOSSEN UP FOLKS!!! The production value, oy vey… no intro music? no background music to reflect the topic of discussion? no outro music? just “goodby”? I suggest listening to The Breakfast Club, Pivot, Prof G to get a sense of what I’m referring to. Men of color… where ar er hey in your representation? As a bisexual biracial man from NYC, I can tell you some of your topics are similar yet vastly different experiences for those of us in POC communities. Case in point, cruising and sex out doors. WAY TO DANGEROUS FOR US. Are you connect to any men of color like yourselves to join your team? Thanks for reading. Mike Dreyden Figueroa Actor ~ NYC

    So relatable
Everything that is talked about on this show is so relatable to every gay guy. The Grindr episode was especially, I was yelling at the phone “OMG I KNOW RIGHT” haha! Love you all.
  • rcstellmon
    Identifying with different perspectives!
The reason this podcast is a great listen for queer people is that there are multiple different experiences being discussed on every episode. These people are professionals and all have valid experiences so to hear them expressed in an eloquent and articulate way is nice!
  • emperorrowdy
If you are looking for some spiritual, then this Podcast is for you
As for me, I worry that being spiritual and new agey can make questionable behavior like compulsion control and drug abuse acceptable and/or normal. I would want probably a hetero woman or lesbian with a Psychology background to be the “Minority Report” and push back on readily accepting current trends as truth.

    Making me feel normal!
I seriously believe that there is literally a podcast for everything. I love you guys, taking topics that I felt I was one of very few that felt a certain way, and Turing that into knowing I am not alone! Thanks guys!!

    Empowering podcast
Thanks guys. This podcast has changed my life. I feel like you guys are talking about me in almost every episode. It makes me feel like I’m not alone in so many of these areas you discuss. Keep up the good work love you guys! Hopefully one day I’ll get to meet you. 😊

    Sexual empowerment
I was recently listening to the episode sexual empowerment. The gentleman said that he had gone to a leather then when I asked to participate in the environment of a leather bar he went off on the leather clientele. A word of advice leather bars are for leather men that is their purpose. If you’re not into leather then go to a different type of gay bar. If you cannot enjoy it then you do not belong there. Thank you

This podcast is a true gem and a gift
This podcast is seriously getting me by!! I have been in therapy for three years and just started working with a queer identified therapist. This work has brought up so much more than my previous therapy did and as a gay man who considers themself to be highly sensitive and spiritual, this podcast shows me again and again that I am not alone. It really is some chicken soup for my gay soul!! Thank you all for the work and thought that goes into it. ❤️

    Really needed this podcast
I really needed this podcast. I’ve had so much shame about being a bottom and feeling less than. This podcast opened up a new perspective I hadn’t thought of. Thank you for this 💙
  • Stevie719
Good topics but typical narcissistic men
They cover a good range of topics and offer some insightful information and thoughts. However, it just seems like a bunch of narcissistic gay men rambling on and on after a while. Even their Facebook group has a bunch of questions you have to answer to make sure you’re “like-minded.” Whatever that means. I was denied entry because I didn’t fill out all the excessively introspective questions. I guess you can’t be a member if you’re someone who continually questions things and isn’t going to tow the line with a static stance on things. Not for me but I think some others might enjoy.
  • hempnervo
    Love this podcast!!
I have learned so much from every single one of the episodes. From not taking rejection personal. To 1% of change a day equals 365% of change a year. The most mind blowing, that my ego is more abusive then anyone could be on the outside because I was allowing it in my own head. I could relate to all three of these guys and even tho I have never met them I feel like I know them. Strawberry moons are so beautiful!!!

Dr. Joe Kort sounds like a hack. Men who have been married to women are the best catches? REALLY? Theres no difference in binge-watching porn & watching HULU? OMG. He’s setting us back. Super cringe.
