I’ve been looking into becoming a pilot myself, and learning so much about the careers of many different aviators in almost every branch has really helped me understand what each branch is like, and which would be the best for me. Thank you!

This is the best Helicopter Podcast

War stories. Lessons-learned. Tactics. Humanity in war. Current events. This podcast provides endless amounts of professional development to the Army Aviator. These conversations are needed in every ready room, planning cell, and staff huddle. Casmo’s experience is broad and deep: cavalry, armor, attack, command, staff, OC/T, warrant officer, officer. It shows in his ability to generate relevant, thought-provoking conversations with guests that have expertise and ground-view perspective.

How is this the most level-headed yet (informed) “opinionated” podcast out right now? People stating facts and then caveating them with their own (considerable) experiences has given me more perspective than anything I’ve listened to in months. Literally. I appreciate what you do and the rolodex of former coworkers who you have on to talk through these topics. Can’t recommend this podcast enough, and I’m not particularly fond of officers. Keep it goin’

I started listening to this podcast about a year ago and I’m sad to report that I have officially listened almost all the episodes. One more to go! This is truly an outstanding show and there is none other like it. Brian does a fantastic job of engaging with the guests and getting their stories out in the world. Before listening I wasn’t sure about rotary wing aviation, but now, it seems like an exciting career to be a part of. One can only dream… but this podcast definitely helps me feel like a part of the action.

This is an awesome podcast with an outstanding guest list. The behind the scenes look at military aviation, particularly Army rotary wing aviation is fascinating and the stories these guys tell are captivating. Thank you all for your service to our country, and keep up the great work and the episodes coming.

I love this show! CH-47 pilot, and I love hearing about the experiences of other pilots and other airframes. It’s a great way to understand the broader landscape of RW aviation.

As a former Warrant and Commissioned Officer in army aviation, I find this podcast brings me home to my former tribe. It’s a unique world army aviation is and one that gets overlooked amongst today’s SEAL teams and special forces media. The complex aircraft and tactics make for good stories, but the men and women who flew these aircraft with honor and distinction need their story told. This podcast is a start.

I personally find this very helpful and it’s so interesting finding out about these pilots experiences.

Outstanding podcast. I’m a DoD civilian providing engineering support to the military aviation community and this is a great way for me to better understand things from the perspective of those great men and women in the front seat. Love this podcast even more since my son branched Army aviation out of school. Keep up the great work and interviews!

I generally enjoy and like the content and the guests. Casmo seems to be a good guy. Disclaimer: I prefer more produced podcasts over free form conversations without direction. As an interviewer I think Casmo has been sounding a bit tired, cranky, and almost uninterested in the guests sometimes. Understandable to not always be peppy or excited as he’s a human, but I’m not feeling him has an interviewer. I prefer the podcast style of the fighter pilot podcast. I will still listen as I like hearing from the guests, but I hope Casmo can find his place as an interviewer. I realize it’s difficult and most people can’t do it, that’s why I still give a 4 star review.

Well worth subscribing to if you have even the slightest interest in rotary wing aviation. Fascinating guests, Casmo does an awesome job interviewing them.

Had the pleasure of working and flying with Brian in Iraq. All around great guy and a champion for the people that served in his charge. The podcast has a casual vibe that reminds me a lot of time spent trading stories with friends between missions down range or over beers back at home. There are so many great stories from the last 20 years, and I’m glad to see Brian pulling them together for us to enjoy!

Helicopter aviation is a field there’s not much on and this podcast has been great in changing that. The variety of types of pilots they bring on is great and has really gotten me excited to pursue this field. I would recommend this podcast to anyone considering a future in helos or really aviation in general.

Solid content with relatable material. Definitely looking forward to listening to this for a long time to come. With the GWOT winding down ever so slowly, there are plenty of stories out there to be heard from all branches, partner nations, and all festive locales worldwide. I had first heard of this podcast through the Fighter Pilot Podcast, then followed by the Afterburn Podcast. I am definitely not disappointed. I may be biased being an Army Aviation veteran myself, but keep up the awesome work good sir, this is a podcast we need to make sure people’s stories are heard, regardless of whatever war they were involved in, and whatever country they were, or weren’t, supposed to be in.

Best podcast I’ve found that talks about army aviation. And thankfully consistently good audio.

I’m a new Army 47 guy. This is exactly the kind of podcast I was looking for. I love learning about the attack and scout folks from people with decades of experience. The international and other branch guest interviews are riveting. If you are in military rotary aviation or an enthusiast, this is must listen podcast. Also, the aerodynamics talk is a nice little review. Thanks for that.

I can’t believe this podcast only has 10 episodes. The quality is spectacular. The host does a great job pulling out details while letting the guest tell great stories. Can’t wait for more!
