True Crime #134

The Murder Sheet is a weekly true crime podcast hosted by journalist Áine Cain and attorney Kevin Greenlee.

We take a journalistic approach to covefing true crime. We have broken national news on major cases, like the Delphi murders and the Burger Chef murders. We also cover plenty of other subjects, including high-profile murders, cold cases, legal topics within the criminal justice system, restaurant slayings, historical crimes, and wide-ranging interviews with authors and experts.

If you're looking for in-depth coverage of both well-known and obscure cases, smart legal analysis, and thoughtful interviews, then this is the true crime podcast for you. The Murder Sheet is a production of Mystery Sheet LLC.

Used to be interesting… now seemingly vindictive with ulterior motives
Podcast actively drops names and addresses of folks with whom do not share their opinions. These folks have seemingly inserted themself into the Delphi murder case with the purpose of altering public opinion and virtue signaling any opposition into submission.

The “reporting” and “analysis” done on this podcast is a joke. Don’t waste your time.

    Nope!
I have been listening since they started with Delphi reporting. Now this channel has turned into snarky, petty, argumentative and EXTREMELY jealous of other reporters, as they insult as “YouTubers” Ha! . They claim to be unbiased, yet they are prosecution allll day long! The podcast has definitely 📉

    Top of the class!
Huge fan of all things true crime and crave justice for Abby and Libby…and The Murder Sheet is the absolute best in this genre. Journalism and thoughtful reporting. Don’t pay attention to any bad reviews on here. Those reviews are simply from internet hobgobblins that can’t stand being called out for their awful online behavior. Keep it up Aine and Kevin! We love you!!!!

Why do you, the Murder Sheet block comments on YouTube and then DELETE,
Why do you, The Murder Sheet BLOCK AND DELETE COMMENTS on the podcast and YouTube that are NOT positive to your narrative? Free Speech is an American Right, yet to me personally, you have made the absolute conscious choice to block and delete comments that do NOT line up with your narrative? Kevin is attorney, so it would seem that he would be knowledgeable is free speech. Does the opposing theory scare the two of you? Is there far more things that the two of you do not want the public “followers” of the Murder Sheet to know? I have many valid questions in regards to your conscience behavior. Given the conspiracy theories that are all floating around in social media, why are the two of you making a extremely conscious choice to “attempt” to control a very specific narrative? HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE to go WATCH the latest episode on Hoosier Cold Cases, as the TRUTH is laid out EXTREMELY CLEARLY in regards to the Murder Sheet, plus these 2-individuals exact intentions. With actual EVIDENCE.

    Way too much righteousness
Used to listen. Can’t even stand the snarky attitudes now. Buh-bye!

    Fair & factual
Aine & Kevin provide a well-researched podcast. It can go a bit longer than necessary, but I appreciate their thoroughness and thought-provoking commentary.

    True-crime Karens
A true crime podcast from two self-righteous, pedantic Karens, who not only cover true crime, but also give life lessons on how to behave on the internet. The podcast feels like a disciplinary meeting with your boss. Aine knows it all, and she uses her knowledge to tell experienced lawyers how to improve their strategy. She also critiques their ethics and their morals, giving them the chance to improve their performance. It’s all done in good faith. If they were your neighbors, they would call the cops on you because your 4th of July barbecue got too loud. But it would be for your own good! Because you weren’t obeying the rules... They have made the point numerous times that the boring story or explanation is often the most accurate, and they stick to that in their podcast. They hew closely to that line and keep it very boring.

    Has gone down hill
They claim to be unbiased journalists, but share their opinions too much. I liked listening at first to get factual information. During interviews, Aine repeats the word “absolutely “ after every response by the interviewee. Such an unnecessary filler word. They have become best buds with notorious plagiarizer, Jayson, yet accuse others of plagiarism. They seem to have gotten their feelings hurt by an old senile attorney and can’t let it go.

    Essentially
I reviewed some time ago about how the use of “basically” was driving me nuts!! I asked that you review and listen to how many times you used that word! And I believe you did that, however, it’s been substituted with the word “essentially!!” On another subject, it’s become clear that Aine (probably misspelling that) is slated against the defense. In all her opinions, she is badmouthing them. I assume she no longer works for Murder Sheet as a reporter. Thank goodness, Kevin reigns her in at times with facts.

    Great coverage
This is my go to podcast for Delphi coverage. I love how quickly their updates come out.

    Terrible these days
I used to love this this podcast, but it seems to have reverted to nothing but the creators bashing people in the true crime community they have personal conflicts with and hurling insults at a growing network of professional enemies. So it has devolved into a unprofessional platform that appears highly one sided rather than the charmingly quirky attempt at amateur journalism. The creators had been a sweet pair of nerds who bounced off one another in hilariously, but that’s changed as well. The podcast seems mired in mountains of hubris and toting their own horns, writhing in self congratulation, and a chilling meanness towards any one who dared to tangle with them. They seem to only support a law enforcement prosecution prospective rather than their former equal coverage. What a shame. I mourn the lost of a show that I had strong attachment to, and looked towards to as it did exhibit a fair view of true crime doings. Their coverage of prospective in the Delphi Case, is completely pro prosecution these days, so no longer making an attempt at fair coverage and true reporting. Terrible podcast these days.

Dangerous biased podcast and Agenda driven!!!!
They have an agenda and continue to push that agenda while claiming its facts and it makes them dangerous.
  • Lollychriss3
Such a great true crime podcast
I originally started following The Murder Sheet because my daughter is the same age as Libby and Abby and I wanted to follow the case. I love love love the way they are so middle of the road (even though I am not sometimes). I can trust their reporting as though I was there in person. I turn to them every chance I get!

    Balance
Thanks for complimenting Frankmeister, a YouTube creator who models respect, kindness, and humility in the courtroom. It's great to hear about creators who choose to behave appropriately vs. those who choose not to.

Fame &fortune off of the backs of 2 dead kids!
This show use to be good. Now they don’t care about facts. They don’t care about the case. They have chosen to use the death of 2 dead children to get their 5 minutes of fame, by appearing on all the local news channels. He is a property attorney and she is a business writer. Neither of them are “experts” in criminal law, but don’t you dare bring up that they are sickening by using these kids death to get into the spotlight, because if you do, their cult like followers will come attack you, and they will try to have you banned from whatever platform you are using. Very said, and I’m embarrassed they call themselves Hoosiers!

    Increase in talking about YouTubers
I understand the frustration with the involvement of YouTubers, however, lately it seems like that’s all is discussed. It’s hard for me to sort through the venting on the YouTubers and what actually is going on in the case and in the courtroom. It’s making me want to turn away from what used to be a very informative podcast.

Great in-depth show for Murder Sheet people
I’ve been listening to Murder Sheet since they started covering the Delphi case. I appreciate their in-depth review of everything surrounding the case without insane speculation and conspiracies. I also really enjoy their Cheat Sheet episodes!

One of the few podcasts I listen to about Delphi. All the haters seem to have some ulterior motive. I like honest reporting.

    Horrible
If you choose to spend your time listening to Aine and Kevin criticize other content creators and attorneys for being unethical, but have a long standing track of pursuing and leaking confidential information, this is the podcast for you! Aine is extremely judgmental and consistently makes snarky and annoying comments. Kevin is an attorney, but after listening to him for a couple of years, it is my perspective he lacks basic criminal law knowledge. Over the last year, the quality of their content has declined and it really is a shame! They have become extremely biased. They were my go to when I wanted to get actual facts, but they have lost my trust and confidence. In absence of being a journalist and attorney, they have lost their identity.

    My favorite podcast
The Murder Sheet is by far my favorite podcast that covers true crime! I especially appreciate the evidence-based and ethical journalism that is provided for podcast listeners who may not be familiar with the criminal legal system.

    Exceptional
One of the few true crime podcasts I can listen to these days. The integrity, intelligence, and judgement of the hosts is uncommon and impressive. The Delphi coverage is excellent and thorough and grounding. If you are a rational person who prefers reasoned facts to wild speculation, it’s worth a listen.

    Always look forward to it!
This is my favorite podcast. I have great respect for Aine and Kevin. They take care to report accurately. I enjoy their sometimes goofy sense of humor. When I see a new episode I listen right away. Thanks for providing an informative show!

    Extraordinarily Biased
I started listening to the podcast for their Delphi coverage, which was really good in the very beginning. However, the hosts, especially Aine, have become so biased that it’s hard to trust any of their “reporting” anymore. Now I listen in sometimes JUST to hear how biased their opinions will be. It’s almost entertaining to me now, but my concern is that some people don’t question their perspective on the case and take it as true journalistic reporting, which it certainly is not. I don’t think I will be able to trust them on other cases knowing how they are dealing with the Delphi case. I hope they return to their previous approach the podcast.

    Unless you like drama……
Don’t bother listening. The last episode was the last straw for me. Self righteous, sanctimonious drivel. The podcast is going downhill - and fast.
  • LadyCaprese
    Please Stop
This podcast does a few things well. They put in the work to do their research. They respect their sources. They’ve done some great work on the Delphi case. But whenever the host starts using “Jesus Christ” in such poor taste, I turn it off. I respect freedom of speech, but I don’t appreciate the low road, like so many low-quality Hollywood writers take these days, using our Lord and Savior’s Name as an explicit. And while He may not be yours, consider the families behind the stories you’re covering. Hearing that is a gut punch. It is so disrespectful. Whew, thanks for the “thoughts”. Families of the victims, we’re praying for you❤️
  • Quel the belle
    Pot: Kettle
Imagine these 2 laughing about people being obsessed with the Delphi case and trying to make a career off of it. Their derogatory tone regarding defense counsel, wrongful convictions, you name it, has overtaken all over their “reporting”.
  • JM2group
    Blinded by their blatant bias
They have bought into a narrative and won’t dare open their eyes to the incredible corruption that is behind a coverup followed by Railroading an innocent man. They’ve lost all credibility… along with Gray Hughes …. ~Shudder~ god awful company to keep while claiming to be an “authority” on a case while making a career of the death of two children.
  • rome1669
    Good analysis
Do they sleep? Well researched and reports big cases and easy to understand analogies

    One of the best…
I listen to lots of true crime, and this is one of the best podcasts out there. Period! Don’t let the weird negative reviews sway you. Give Kevin and Aine a listen and decide for yourselves. They are smart, balanced and, importantly, compassionate to victims and their families.

Grew to love this podcast, the hosts, and their integrity
I’ll be honest, I listened to a MS episode or two a couple of years ago and I wasn’t immediately hooked. HOWEVER, I have grown to really love this podcast and its hosts and I appreciate the integrity they bring to the true crime space immensely. They are thoughtful and thorough and I, for one, am so glad they have risked being vulnerable and allowed themselves to show a bit more of their personalities and their relationship. I trust the content they put out regarding their on the ground work with the Delphi and burger chef cases and appreciate that they also pepper in other cases, many of which are lesser known and deserving of more spotlight. Keep up the great work, guys!

    Mehhh
Used to be worth listening to. Now they just are full of themselves and want to parent from behind a microphone.
  • features/creatures
    Pretty alright
I don’t have strong opinions on these cases (read: one single case) but their micro obsession over the Delphi case and their nerd level obsession over court filings leaves the listener very bored and alienated. Nobody cares to hear you read legal documents for 2 hours a week except the very narrow group of psycho obsessives, who then you complain about. A podcast, even a true crime one, is still supposed to be entertainment. I feel like I’m filing my taxes with the worlds two biggest nerds when I listen. Snooze. BUT, if you are truly obsessed with this one single case, I couldn’t imagine anything better. 99% of people would find this format alienating,

    Great podcast
This is one of the very few honest and trustworthy true crime podcasts! Love it!! Love both the hosts!!!
  • Gardenguru7
    Completely biased and annoying
The content of this podcast could be so great, but it’s so obviously tainted with the female podcaster’s personal opinions that it becomes useless to listen. Even when she tries to remain unbiased, her tone of voice conveys it. It’s truly a scary thing when podcasters are dealing with and reporting on cases that involve the justice system in the U.S. and the U.S. constitution. Finally, please let Kevin talk more— the constant interruptions when he is the one with a law degree, are infuriating.

    QUANTITY NOT QUALITY
I’d rather have FEWER episodes off t meant BETTER QUALITY. The woman constantly talks over / interrupts the man ( an attorney) and goes round in circles with incessant chatter of poor quality. Idk why he puts up with it, but we sure as Heck don’t have to.

    Episode 184
Aine feels the need to clarify what Kevin says like we don’t understand, it’s insulting. Aine and Kevin, please listen to your podcast. Kevin should have a bigger part.

    They think they own Delphi.
Aine is HATEABLE. The hypocrisy on this show is off the charts let a dead horse lay. Move on from Delphi yall have already provided way to many incorrect facts

    My favorite true crime podcast
I listen to a lot of true crime podcast , my wife would tell you way to many. Murder Sheet has become my favorite show. For several reasons really. First of all I am Hoosier. A proud resident of Indiana. Two of their most popular cases take place in Indiana. The Burger Chef murders and the horrific Delphi murders case. The BC case happened in the late 1970’s just when I was graduating from high school. So I remember when it happened. While that was over 40 years ago they still managed to track down and interview the people who were there and were a part of the story. Aina and Kevin have a great chemistry their skill sets complement one another. One research journalist and the other a licensed and educated in Indiana attorney. They are tenacious and urgent but always report with caution. What I most admire about them is that unlike other podcasters they are researchers and reporters. It’s paramount for them to get the story right but also always protect their sources. I believe that these qualities are what sets them a part from the rest of the shows that I listen to. Lastly I respect that they are willing to put their reputations on the line to call other podcasters out for plagiarism. There in my mind is a huge difference from true crime researchers and investigators and those who just read the story that someone else spent countless hours on. On actually investing your time and effort into digging into the story. Interviewing those who know about or are a part of these stories. These crimes change people’s lives in the worst way and they do their very best to protect and respect them. Please give them a listen I don’t thing that you’ll be disappointed.

It’s painful a majority of the time..
I do listen because I have been very interested in the Delphi case since it happened and they do a good job at digging deep and covering with in depth information. That being said, I find her to be unbearable to listen to, as other reviews have stated. Consistently interjecting anyone, always giving an opinion that comes off arrogant or superior to others. Their self importance always circles back to how they just want justice, yet you get the sense they are loving every second of this drama. Think they could really use with giving themselves time to compose their thoughts and statements they throw out, instead of just trying to be the first one to put out a story.

    So many analogies
They went back and forth with so many analogies, I forgot what the episode was about.
